Friendly, Compassionate, and EXCELLENT Care. Those words describe Fort Street Vet Clinic. Vito and I would like to thank Dr. Kara Rogers and the wonderful staff at Fort Street Vet Clinic for the outstanding care and compassion we received. The front office staff was extremely helpful, friendly & welcoming. Vito has a fear of slick floors and once the staff noticed his fear, they took it upon themselves to make him feel more comfortable by bringing towels and rugs out for him to walk on. I have never been to a clinic, nor anywhere else for that matter that has done that sort of thing for him. That shows just how much they truly care about their clients. Dr. Kara Rogers is an excellent Veterinarian! She’s caring, compassionate, friendly, thorough, and you can tell she’s very passionate about her job. She treated Vito as if he was one of her own! For once, I walked out of a Vet visit feeling like we’re finally getting answers to what’s going on with Vito’s skin. A week after our appointment Dr. Rogers called with his results. Sure enough her assumption was confirmed, a fungal infection. 3 Vets, rounds of antibiotics, several tests, and 9 months later, Vito was finally diagnosed and being treated with the right meds. We LOVE Dr. Rogers! Our overall experience with Fort Street Vet Clinic was EXCELLENT! FIVE STARS!

Our dog had a serious medical issue while traveling. We contacted a family member who lives in Omaha for a vet recommendation. While driving from Denver to Omaha we called Fort Street Veterinarian. Friendly and understanding staff accommodated us with an appointment the morning following our arrival. Fort Street Veterinarian had the expertise and equipment necessary to diagnose our dogs condition and they sent samples for further lab testing. We continued our travels with medication and a treatment plan. Our dog made a remarkable turnaround and, a few months later, we brought him back to Omaha for a follow-up exam which indicated more treatment was needed. It worked! Its been several months and now we follow a maintenance plan. Today our dogs health is better than it has been for years! We give 100% credit, and thanks, to Fort Street Veterinarian and the caring, efficient staff. We are thankful for their ultrasound and imaging resources, and most expert DVMs . Special thanks to Dr. Kara Rogers from Cooper, Denny and Kristi! Well see you again one of these days for a "Wellness" checkup with our Favorite Omaha Vet.

We had used our previous vet for over 25 years until he passed away and I did not have high hopes of finding another vet that would be as excellent. Boy was I wrong. Everyone from doctors, technicians and the front desk staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and obviously LOVE animals. They go way beyond the call of duty when it comes to my babies. My five year old cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and Dr. Tordrup has made this a manageable situation instead of a major crisis. In order to get Ickys insulin amounts correct, we started with low dosages and then perform weekly blood glucose curves. All we have to do is email or drop off the curve results and Dr. Tordrup reviews the results and gives us the necessary changes. This cycle has now got us to the point where we seem to have his diabetes back to a suitable level. Keep in mind that all of this extra effort by Dr. Tordrup has been done without any fees. At cant even image using another veterinarian! My Icky Baby is back to being his old sweet and lovable self.

I took our pound puppy to see Dr. Kara Rogers to get a second opinion on her allergic rash and horrible itching. She was to the point of looking like a mange victim with uncontrollable fits of scratching and licking day and night. We have been seeing another local vet and have tried everything, so we gave Fort Street clinic a try. Dr. Rogers was very attentive and asked several questions as well as took the time to look Katie all over. After some time, and a piece of tape, we discovered that she had an infection between her pads on one foot which required treatment and that there was a newly released wonder drug for animals with allergies. Dr. Rogers called us a couple of days later to see how Katie was doing with the new medication. That was nice that she called and not the receptionist or lab tech. Shes good with Katie and I was pleased with her depth of knowledge and the suggestions she shared on this crazy allergy thing. We will undoubtedly be going back to see her. Thank you.

I was not very happy about the way my dog knuckle was treated (Rottweiler) on his last visit for a bad limp he had developed. I am completely understanding that the new vet had never met him before and he can be very intimidating to new people. I also was not given the chance to hold or restrain him while she looked at him they called in 2 other people right away which also made him very uncomfortable in a small room with 3 unknown people surrounding him and grabbing him. He is a "talker" grumples and groans all the time you can scratches his ears and you can tell he enjoys it, his nub wags, he leans into you that sort of thing. I feel as if he wasnt given a chance to prove that, and they muzzled him almost instantly and still wouldnt examine him with out sedation. Im not blaming the vet. She did her job and did what she felt was right for herself and her staff. I was just upset because it felt like I was ignored and my dog wasnt given a chance. Dr. Banks is a good vet.

The staff and vets at this location are very polite and take great care of the animals. You walk in and you are always greeted with a smile and a hello. It makes you feel right at home. My dog, Molly, LOVES, Dr. Rogers. Dr. Rogers has taken great care of Molly over the years and I am grateful for that. If she tells you a story about the big dog that got attacked by the squirrel and the little dachshund that rescued her, that would be my Molly. :-) One thing that I have noticed with all the staff that is really neat is before touching/petting any of the dogs they always put their hand out, let the dog sniff their hand, and then will pet the dog. With Molly being older (12 years old) I have been doing laser therapy treatments for her. They seem to be working as this past weekend Molly was trying to eat things off the counter and she has never done that before. She is reverting back to being an ornery pup!

Living in a BSL city, it isnt easy to find and trust places where breed ignorance isnt rampant. But we are so so happy we found this vet. I found Dr. Kara Rogers after googling pit bull friendly veterinarians in the Omaha area -- couldnt be happier! She is just so caring and loving and really took the time to sit down (on the ground even : )) with us, be so genuine and honest, get to know you and your dog. Ive never met a vet that was so lovely and we at no time felt clinical, or rushed, or our concerns brushed aside or questions or worries ignored. Her knowledge and diagnosis is always superb. The entire staff is lovely & welcoming, and how medical care of any kind should be. Going in for each checkup is always so uplifting to see her thoroughness, attention to detail, and kindness to us. We love Dr. Rogers & Fort Street Vet!
