The Dr. is an total jerk. I took my dog to them because she was having seizures and all I got was berated and talked to like I was an idiot. He has zero personality. I only went there because they opened earlier than my regular vet who is also 45 minutes further away. I had forgotten why we drive 45 minutes past this guy. I think my dog is going to die and he is bust trying to strong arm me into treatments that have nothing to do with why I am there. He gives me an estimate of over 800 bucks. I said I cant pay that. Not that if I could afford it I wouldnt just I dont have that much money. Particularly since he said he had no idea what was wrong to begin with. He was obnoxious to be kind in his description. When I said I wanted to pay my bill and take my dog he yelled, yes yelled, at me, called my sick sick girl "your damn dog", and take him (told him three times she is a girl) home to die. Never again ever will I take even any pet of mine here. Ill go to the 24 pet ER and pay out the nose rather than deal with this sorry excuse of a Vet. Contrary to the review above this guy did not watch his pet suffer and have expensive tests ran for nothing. He should have told me the best thing to do was let her go but he ran my bill up to almost 2000 bucks just to have her die miserablloy while he kept giving me silly wild ass guesses. He yelled me in the lobby. yes yelled at me. The most unprofessional slacker of a vet I have ever seen in my life. He is not a jerk I guess he is more of an ass.

Absolute worst vet clinic to go to. My 15yr old female cat has to be regularly seen by a doctor and coming here made it a nightmare! I dreaded seeing Dr Walker each and every time simply because he talked to me as if I was a five year old. I never got any questions in, so standing there for a little over an hour each time listening to him repeat himself over and over again drove me insane. He CONSISTENTLY tried pushing me to extract all of Sallys teeth and when I expressed I didnt want to he replies "her disease isnt bad enough yet so I wouldnt even recommend it" Either he just wants all your money or is simply an arrogant man; I will never, ever go back. Hes been treating Sally for awhile now and still calls her a "male." If you want to feel as miserable as your pet, then I highly suggest this clinic.

I just moved to Rockwall with my young Chow rescue not too long ago. When we rescued him, he was positive for heartworm and was fearful of strangers. We had gotten quotes from other vets from before we moved about how much Heartworm treatment would cost and its pretty expensive. At Lakeside Vet, the staff is VERY friendly and very good at what they do. I told them my Chow is a little fearful and can bite when scared and they took what I said very seriously and reacted like professionals. They treated him for his heartworm and it was at least HALF the price of what the other vets had quoted us. You get quality care at very fair prices. They are great at working with my dog. Dr. Walker and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

I took my dog in to get her shots updated and to talk to the Dr about her aggression. They took her to the back to do the shots before the Dr or nurses even met her. I was told they needed to weigh her but they never brought her back before proceeding with shots. The Dr came in and started talking without introducing himself and kept refering to her as "him." When I corrected him, he was too arrogant to even apologize and just proceeded to talk and then reference her as female. He didnt even give me time to ask any questions; he just assumed why I was there and even suggested that she needs to be checked for arthritis. Shes barely 3. I would rather drive the 45 minutes to our previous get than the 10 minutes back to this one.

Never going back again. They way that they spoke to me the whole time was as if I was stupid and didnt know how to care for my animals. The whole time hes just talking at me. Giving my pamphlet after pamphlet on shots. Okay great. What I didnt know was when they took my dogs in the back, they were giving them all of these shots WITHOUT my consent or even telling me. They cut my dogs nails and made him bleed without telling me too. If they would of told me I would of asked them to please not cut his nails. Then my significant other calls because Im clearly upset that they did all this. The doctors response was to yell at him and lie. Also the office smells like cat piss and I couldnt breathe the whole time.

We took our dog to Dr. Walker in May to have a cyst removed and overall the Dr did a nice job and our dog recovered very well. Today I called to get some arthritis medicine refilled and the woman that answered the phone was so short and SO rude and sassy!! She said her name was Sherry. And because of Sherrys lack of respect and her unprofessionalism we will not be taking our dogs back! I wish I could give Dr. walker a better rating but because every time we called or visited we had to deal with this rude woman Sherry! She is always rude! So we will just order our dogs medicine online and go to another vet because of her.

Weve been going to Dr. Walker for over 5 years now and hes by far the best Vet weve ever had. Our dogs are part of our family and Dr. Walker treats them as such. I will say that Dr. Walker is very thorough in getting down to the root of the sickness and I prefer him to be that way there are no surprises and additional costs down the line. Dr. Walker is very informative about the care that he gives and hes never done a procedure without our knowledge of what it included, especially the cost. If youre looking for a seasoned and knowledgable Vet in the Rockwall/Rowlett area I stronglty recommend him and his staff!

I highly recommend Lakeside Vet Clinic. I took my 10 year old dog to Dr. Walker because she was having "accidents" in the house and she was just not feeling good. Since she is so old I was afraid this was going to be an ongoing problem and I might have to put her to sleep. Dr. Walker treated her bladder infection but he also did bloodwork and other tests on her and found she has diabetes and thyroid problems. Now that ALL her problems are being treated she is like a much younger dog. She plays and runs more and no more accidents in the house! Dr. Walker gave my Rosie a new lease on life.

Dr. Walker is an amazing vet. Im in the pet rescue business so Im in and out of veterinary offices weekly. For one vet in particular to stand out from the rest is saying something. Hes a very bright man and Im glad to have met him. I trust him with our rescue dogs and personal pets.
