While I have always loved going to Dr. Hucek and this is in no way a bad review towards him, the front office staff at this location is nothing short of rude and incompetent. I had a terrible ear infection that I was treated for over Christmas at an urgent care. What I was given at urgent care did nothing and the infection continued to worsen. On 12/28 in the AM, I called the practice to try and get in. They were not open, so I called the line to page the on-call doctor. (Let me preface this by saying that, if youve never had an ear infection as an adult....WOW, is it painful. There was blood in my ear and harsh, sharp stabbing pain in the side of my head.) The first on call operator I spoke with told me she had two options for me: first, she said the office HAD JUST OPENED (this is important) and that if I call them in THREE MINUTES I should get someone. She also said she could go ahead and page the on call doctor. I told her I would wait that three minutes. So I did...and ten minutes and about 20 unsuccessful calls into the office later, and I called back the on call person again. Get a different person, tell them the story...her response to me was "I dont know what someone else told you, but that office opens at 8. (It was 7:40)" She did tell me she could page the on call doctor, so I asked her to do that. She does, and about 10 minutes later I get a call from a VERY rude person who says "Do you understand that you called the urgent line? Youre saying this is an urgent situation? And you understand that the office opens in ten minutes?" I explained to her that I was in a considerable amount of pain and there is blood in my ear, so yes I DID consider this to be very urgent and wanted to talk to the doctor right away. Her short, abrasive response was "youre just going to need to call their office when they open." I asked her (at this point pretty ticked off myself on top of being in pain), that shes talking to someone in a lot of pain, and telling me theres nothing you can do to help me. I got a blunt "No, maam," in response, and I hung up on her. SERIOUSLY? Talk about ridiculous bedside manner and basic HUMAN DECENCY. So I wait the ten minutes, and call the office right at 8. I get another woman with not an ounce of sympathy to hearing that a person is in considerable pain (to the point where Im sure she can hear me stifling my cries as stabbing sensations are felt in my ear). She tells me I havent been seen there in 3 years (which was true), and I cannot be seen there, they have nothing and theres nothing she can do to help me. I work at a medical facility, and to be quite honest I know this is a load of baloney. If a patient calls in with an emergency situation or tells us they are in a lot of pain, we will FIGURE OUT A WAY to help them, even if that means calling another office to get them an appointment. The quality of care and service to our patients is the top priority; Im sad to say that doesnt appear to be the case with Ohio Health. The only reason Im giving them 2 stars is because whenever I HAVE been able to get past their ridiculous office staff and see Dr. Hucek, he has always been a wonderful doctor.

Scheduled here on another doctors recommendation to use as a primary care physician as Im new to the area and had a condition that needed primary care attention. These folks had a little bit of a wait for getting an appointment, but I chose to accept due to the recommendation and figured that, in all fairness, the time of year probably had something to do with it. I was disappointed. Had that first appointment with this practice (Dr Foley in particular) scheduled today. Unfortunately I had to take my spouse in to the emergency room last night at the hospital for a medical emergency. As a result of caring for my spouse I needed to cancel my appointment, so I called first thing early this morning to give them as much notice as I could and explain the situation. I was dismayed to be warned that they would refuse to ever see me again if I cancelled the appointment within 24-hours. I asked for a situational consideration due to the cancellation being caused by a medical emergency and told them I still really would like to use them. The woman was friendly and checked for me, but returned and told me that no, they would not be making an exception and the office would refuse to see me again due to cancelling for the medical emergency. I suppose its good to find out ahead of time how this particular medical offices customer service philosophy views medical emergencies (irony?) so that I dont have to find out later, but part of me is still disappointed. Would have really appreciated the convenience of finding a decent primary care Doctor close to home. Still looking....

Not happy that Dr Hucek is no longer here he was the only doctor at this facility worth seeing. He has seen every person in my family for over 20 years. This was a bad move for Ohio Health...

Worst staff. I needed a prescription while on vacation and had no help from my physicians assistant. Good doctor but would not recommend due to incompetent staff.
