Really Bad, they tested me and said evrything wrong, my power has increased and birmingham, vision care Dr said my power is same. I was constatntly telling doctor that i have irritation in eyes and she said everything is normal and asked me for a therapy for 3000 dollars, Seriuosly and then 2 days later Dr called me and said i have hole in my retina. I did a recheck of my eye at anather eye institue and that DR told me that my power is increased and i have dryness in eyes thats causing irritation. He gave me a drop and i am really feeling better after that. Birmingham vision care is just a waste of money. Please think twice before going there. Really upset with therir service and Dr Pelton judgement. I have to spend two times the same amount of money.

Dr. Pelton recommended reading glasses for our son. I asked if we could buy over-the-counter frames and lenses. She dismissed that suggestion and took me to place an order with the optician. The total was more than $250 for basic glasses. I asked for a copy of the prescription while placing the order but was told that the printer was down. When I received the prescription in the mail, I was shocked to see that my son needed a very slight correction which is the same in both eyes. I could easily have purchased glasses online for him for $15 per pair! I would have appreciated much more transparency.

We have been going to Birmingham Vision Care for at least 8 years. We started at BVC with vision therapy for our son which really helped him focus and with reading. I have found all the doctors and personnel to be professional, polite and very sensitive to our needs, questions and final selection of glasses, contacts, etc. We are very satisfied with BVC and recommend them all the time. The only negative thing I can say about BMC is that there was one technician, while very nice, who smelled like cigarettes, which is offensive to me.

Having had multiple eye operations as a child, I have been very diligent with getting my eyes checked through the years. I have also been very disappointed with doctors I have met, until I met Dr. Pelton. She is the first person who understood my condition as more than just a normal eye problem. My family has gone to her for years and I wont go anywhere else. She is wonderful with me, my wife and my 4 year old son. Their eyeglasses are a bit pricey, but I have no problem paying for exceptional care.

I cannot express how amazing the staff and doctors are here. We have gone to them for our vision and glasses needs and were always very satisfied. My husband recently got metal in his eye at work and we called them late in the day and they stayed open past close to wait for him and see him. They are amazing!

I find it very troublesome that this place uses lies and scare tactics to force patients into buying glasses with them and making it very difficult for them if they choose to go elsewhere. I think it is very unethical and highly immoral. Professionalism is definitely lacking at this office.

If you are looking for quality vision care, look no further. The staff is friendly and professional, they have the most up-to-date equipment, and frames/contacts to fit your needs. I have been coming here for 10 years, and I dont see myself ever going anywhere else.

Very Thorough. I have special needs for my right eye and glasses for driving. Dr. Pelton spent lots of extra time getting it right. The best eye glasses prescription I ever had. A+ on knowledge, effort and patients.
