This was the second time I called McDermitt veterinarian hospital off of Custer Road to get pricing both times they could not give me pricing I simply asked them if they had a computer in front of them where they had all the information and the first time I had called for my senior dog that is 16 years old and when I called it was about three years ago so she wouldve been 13 and they could not give me pricing and the lady was very rude I decided to give them a second try because they are close to my house and we just got our third Maltese and I wanted to check pricing to get her spayed and to get her rabies shot the young girl that answered the phone said that she didnt have pricing again !!!! I said OK well do you not have a computer in front of you ? And she says I do but Im not sure how to get to it Im new at this - and then she started asking me questions about our dog I give her the answers and she says well I do know that you will have to be charged for the first examination fee which is fine but if youre going to charge a lot of money to spay a dog and get a rabies shot I would think that the first visit examination fee would be free ! I mean I would have transferred her records over so they would not have to be any examination fee but again this lady was very rude and this was the second try so this was not just a first time give a bad review I am the type of person that will give a five star if someone gives a three star service Im giving this veterinarian clinic a one star because I have called two times in three years and both times they were hateful so if you do not want rude , hateful people to work on your sweet precious animals do not go here ! And again I have never been here just bad experience over the phone

A friend of mine referred me to this clinic as I had just adopted a rescue dog with some pretty severe emotional issues. He said they were really good with animals of this type and were certain they would be able to help and treat Sultan. Sultan has severe panic attacks and could be considered partly feral. He is particularly terrified of men. When I got to the clinic and went inside to tell them we were there, not only had they cleared out most of reception but the waiting room was empty too so there would be no sudden stimuli to frighten him. They immediately took us to a treatment room and gave Sultan time to calm down and investigate. Their treatment room was amazing, state of the art. Everything designed to keep the dog or cat as calm as possible and you didnt have to shuffle them here or there for different things like getting weighed or their temperature taken. Zach, our vet tech, was the first to come in and he was so calm and so gentle with Sultan and let Sultan come to sniff him first. Dr. Cinclair was the same way. I was amazed how Sultan let them examine him. Although he was very tense, I was prepared for a full out panic attack and it never happened even when he got his shots. I would recommend this clinic to everyone far and wide, its well worth the drive if you dont live near. On top of it all, I was a little concerned about their fees based on the area they are located in, but their fees were extremely reasonable and well in line (and in a couple cases cheaper) with the fees I had paid at other vet clinics. I absolutely recommend this clinic. Everyone from the front office staff down to the doctors were wonderful.

This clinic is the BEST and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a loving, caring, professional veterinarian clinic!!!! I have been taking my pets to this vet clinic for about 12 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. The office staff is super-friendly and helpful. The doctors are experienced professionals with immense knowledge. They devote as much time as needed for each appointment and make me feel that my pet is as important to them as he is to me by answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns that I might have. I have never felt like they were hurrying my appointment in order to get to the next client. Two years ago on the day after Christmas, we had to put down our 125 pound yellow lab, Tucker. Unfortunately, Tucker had gone upstairs and wouldnt come down (due to spinal problems he had limited control of his back legs and was too scared to come down the stairs.) Because he was so large, we couldnt carry him down the stairs to take him to the clinic. After calling the clinic, Dr. Cinclair and his vet techs came to our house and put Tucker down while allowing our family to comfort him and love on him. Putting him down took several injections because of his size, and again, Dr. Cinclair was very patient and made the process as easy as it could be under the difficult circumstances.

I believe that a good vet clinic should possess the five "C"s: Competence, Caring, Compassion, Communication, and Cleanliness. All of these attributes are apparent with the Custer McDermott Animal Hospital in Plano. My family and I have taken our animals to their clinic for over eight years. Within the last month, they have treated my cat (Kai) for a diseased portion of his small intestine. Dr. Pilkington and his staff performed surgery on Kai after hours to save his life. Kai had to spend the days at the clinic during his recovery and Dr. Pilkington and Dr. Cinclair would telephone me with updates on Kai twice a day. He has made a remarkable recovery thanks to their efforts. A few weeks later, we found out our dog has a bladder tumor. They quickly made the diagnosis and referred Corona to an oncologist for further treatment of her cancer. The compassion shown by the entire staff including the vets, the vet techs, and the front office is outstanding and comforting. They know you and your pet by name and treat you like you are family. I couldnt imagine taking my pets anywhere else. I trust their skills completely and know my pets are receiving the best care possible. I recommend them highly and tell all my friends, neighbors, and co-workers about their wonderful service to animals and their owners. D. & L. Casey 1/26/14

I called around to so many vets on a Saturday morning because my cat hadnt urinated in a few days. I was afraid that her urethra was blocked, or that her kidneys were shutting down. I couldnt find anywhere to go and this hospital was my last attempt. The receptionist was very helpful, and recommended I come in at 10:30 when they had an open appointment. When I was telling her why I needed to bring my cat in, she told me to go ahead and bring her in now (8:00) so that if any procedures could be done, they could do them that day. Yay! I rushed my cat to the hospital and was seen right away. It turns out my cat had an infection and some swelling, but otherwise she was fine. Whew! The veterinarian, technician, and receptionist were all so wonderful. The receptionist even asked me if my cat was okay as I was leaving. I would HIGHLY recommend this hospital, and plan to take my pets back there in the future. On a more logistical note, I expected to pay an arm and a leg for the service since I was worked in, but the prices were comparable to the hospital I usually go to. The facility is very nice and clean, and the staff is knowledgeable and professional. This is my first and only cat that Ive ever had, and they didnt make me feel stupid for asking so many questions.
