I recently took my 11 month Bulldog for a pre-op evaluation for a right-side cryptorchid testicle. I have been looking around everywhere to see if anybody could perform a one-sided neutering only, seeing how my dog has the left testicle in place, I do not wish to have it taken out. Everywhere I asked, they told me it couldnt be done. One place I went in Garland, off I-30 and Beltline, actually agreed, only to call me on the phone, my dog already on the operating table, anaesthetized, and told me that they were hoing to charge "extra, since the testicle was inside the abdomen", when I tried to clarify, for the Nth time, that I was fine with the extra charge as long as we all understood that that was the only testicle I wanted removed, it turned out they had misunderstood, and were, in fact, about to remove both!!! I almost had a hard attack and immediately told them to get my dog off that table, after which they still wanted to charge me for the anaesthesia...that was funny. I had to speak to the vet herself, who after a little reasoning apologized for the tiny mistake and agreed not to charge a cent. Good for her, or else I would have made it a point to sue them. Dallas Veterinary Clinic, on the other hand, understood my problem, the vet spoke to me from the beginning and told me that although not a common thing, he could do the procedure, and at half of the cost the other guys were asking. When I went in for the pre-op, which was nice, and made me realize they didnt just want my money, but to evaluate my dogs problem first, the staff was friendly and efficient. The vet diagnosed right away what the problem was, a "high flanker", not in the abdomen, like the other idiots said to get 35 dollars more. And when I asked him about the possibility of a orchiopexy, not cutting, but just stitching in the scrotum, like we do on humans, he honestly said, he couldnt do it, but immediately reffered me to the speacialists that could. He did not try to over step his knowledge and skills to get money from me. At the end of the first visit, the nice lady at the front desk even helped me register my dogs microchip right on the spot, by calling the chip manufacturer and asking them to fax a form, which she, in turned, faxed back for me at no cost. I loved their efficient, pragmatic approach to their practice and their genuine care for our pets. I recommend this clinic and I will never go elsewhere. Thank you.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. I have given this place too many chances. This review is just for my latest experience there which was yesterday, 4/19/17 Wednesday. I had a horrible experience with the previous vet, now Im not happy with my visit yesterday, whether it be the vet, the charges, the sneakiness or the front staff. They need to be upfront about what they are going to charge u for, because if I knew I was being charged for an exam I would not have allowed the vet to be so pushy to get me out of there. I took my dog in for a rabies shot. Thats all I asked for, a rabies shot. After the doctor spent less than 5 minutes with us and giving my dog his rabies shot we went to check out. $60!!!!!! I couldnt freaking believe it. I said $60???? Well $20 for the rabies shot (which was more than I previously paid) and $40 for an exam. What exam???? Looking at his teeth???? I am an RN, I know what an exam is. It is NOT what we had, nor did I ask for an exam. If I wanted an exam I would have asked for it, especially a $40, 5 minute exam. They never said anything when I came in that he would "examine" my dog for $40. Interestingly I was there when the woman with the dog cleaning issue was there. Sounds like they are taking advantage of people. I am so extremely angry, I will NEVER, EVER go back. I even told the staff how my money was tight.....ugh. Not for them when they are doing things and surprise!!!! heres your bill with charges you didnt expect. So pissed off.

Recently took my puppy to get a teeth cleaning. Had her teeth cleaned there 15 months prior. So this was just a routine cleaning. Or so I thought. Dropped my 5 yr old chihuahua off with the expectation of picking her up with ONLY her teeth cleaned. The receptionist/ladies at the front did not communicate the procedure or the possible costs. Did not communicate that the doctor would only call AFTER the procedure. That if there were additional costs, that it would be communicated AFTER the procedure was already preformed. The WAIVER that I signed was not thoroughly discussed, and was NOT Communicated well. It was VERY VAGUE. When I came to pick up my puppy, the cost was told to me, indicating that unauthorized things happened. The cost had been communicated weeks prior to being one price, and that was not the price told to me at the time of PICKING up my puppy. So when I asked why it was so high, they finally told me that she had TEETH PULLED! They would not tell me how many. They only said that she is doing fine. The lady explaining the cost only would say that for the procedures done, the cost was reasonable. When I asked why I was not called prior to the teeth extraction, she said the Vet calls AFTER. So it is up to their discretion. No approval from the pet owner. Their poor communication has cost them a customer. And I would not recommend this Vet Clinic.

Ive lived with cats for over a decade and had never found THE vet. Sometimes Ive even thought, "How is this your job?" from observing vets with no compassion. This place is sooo much better. Ive finally found THE vet Ive been looking for! The office staff is so sweet, the prices are awesome, and Dr. Priddy was the best! You can tell everyone there wants to be there because they actually love animals. I was scheduled to take my cat to Petsmart for boarding after he received the appropriate shots. After our vaccine visit, I immediately canceled my Petsmart boarding so he could instead stay in such a loving environment at the clinic. I can rest much easier knowing hes in good hands, and am glad to finally not dread going to the vet in the future

Arrogant, rude, and condescending, to say the least. Ive put up with it for the past year because he seemed competent but the last time I took my cat there for a bladder infection he lectured me about how my cat did not have a bladder infection but rather a behavior disorder. He used me inappropriately in his examples about urinary tract infections and asked me equally inappropriate questions. When I finally got him to run the tests they revealed that my cat did in fact have a urinary tract infection. Overall he seemed to care less about the health of my cat and more about talking down to me. The staff was polite and helpful as always.

I saw Dr. Tolleson as an emergency walk-in when I found an injured, unconscious kitten in the parking garage at my office one afternoon. Dr. Tolleson saw us within minutes of our arrival, even though I had no appointment. He was kind and helpful and explained all the possible outcomes for the kitten. He needed to keep the kitten for a few days for treatment, and called me each morning to tell me how the kitten was progressing. His fees were reasonable. His staff was friendly and very gentle with the kitten. Kitten came home after a few days and is just fine.
