Our family was lucky enough to stumble upon the Plano Arapaho Animal Clinic years ago when my husbands job transferred us from Houston to Richardson. They have provided such expert, friendly, compassionate and economic care for our family for so many years that there is hardly any way for us to fully express our gratitude. We recommend The Vet House to everyone we know! Over the years we have been served by all of the Vets and all of the Techs and certainly all of the front office staff and have always felt like family! We have obviously gone in for preventive care for our lovies, but we have also had to go to The Vet House for acute and chronic illnesses, emergency surgeries, and the inevitable passing of several of our beautiful lovies. All of the staff at The Vet House knows the names of all of our four legged babies and always greet them with love and joy. I know that whenever I have had to leave one of my lovies in their care overnight or for a few days - my babies are in good hands! I truly cannot say enough positive things about The Vet House without going ahead and just writing a book! LOL! Thank you guys so much! Oh, and one more thing...someone said they were expensive, call around and compare; for the the services rendered, the pricing at The Vet House is extremely reasonable!

Weve been bringing our cats here for ten years. I recommend their services highly. All three vets are excellent and the office staff is friendly and accommodating. After reading some of the other reviews, I especially wanted to add something about my familys excellent experiences with Dr. Swann. Dr. Swann is the vet who usually sees our cats and hes always gentle, thorough, and very helpful with my questions. When our 19-year-old kitty had to be put to sleep after years of being treated for renal failure, Dr. Swann let us stay with him and hold him throughout the procedure and gave my husband and me time alone with him both before afterwards to say our goodbyes. He and his staff even helped us make arrangements for cremation. When we pulled ourselves together and went to check out, we were grateful and astonished to find out that there was no charge. A few days later Dr. Swann sent us a book about grieving for a pet, along with a lovely hand-written letter reassuring us that the extra care wed given our cat had added two good years to his life. Thats the kind of personalized service one rarely finds these days, and one of the reasons we love Dr. Swann and The Vet House.

if i could give a negative star i would, they didnt schedule the time to see our senior dog who we had been taking there for 13 years and misdiagnosed her for 2 weeks as having a bladder infection instead of cathing her to see she actually had bladder cancer; we took her to the Arapaho Animal Clinic and it was a night and day difference with the staff and treatment and care as they immediately cathed our little girl and diagnosed the bladder cancer...the vet house office manager Brian is extremely rude (he actually "fired" my 78 year old mother as a customer who had originally referred us there when she complained about the service she had received with her animals, who does that!? its called customer service, ask you customer why they are unhappy, listen and then tell them you will do everything you can to make it better...customer service 101) and i would never recommend this place as the care and concern for my animals (we also have 2 cats) was always sub par...they were close to home so they were convenient location-wise, but the care and office staff are horrible.

Regarding the "Vet House" Excellent care and empathy. Weve know and used Dr. Major for years even prior to joining this clinic, over 25 years. She is exceptional in her skills as well as personality. Dr. Swan, yes can appear gruff but has shown us much compassion for our many own dogs as well as the foster care when we worked with them via the city of Richardson. We worked closely with them and the city of Richardson shelter for many years when we were fostering animals. We had probable 150 animals cycle through and many needed vet care using Vet house, (then Plano Arapaho) we ended up adopting 6 over time and continued using the Vet house all through. They take coupons for meds and generally work with us on costs. Highly recommended. My wife especially takes the love and care of our dogs and cats to heart and all of the staff there have shown her and me much compassion for the times we have lost the animals to both old age and illness. Sincerely, Gregory Frenkel

I would highly recommend you avoid this clinic if your dog is at all timid. We took our small dog in to have his nails trimmed. We warned the technician that he hates having his nails trimmed and that he could potentially snap. She acted nonchalant and took him back. We could hear him screaming out, letting us know that he had not been muzzled. As we were getting into the car after the appointment, the vet came out to let us know he had bitten the technician and as a result, would need to be quarantined. I have never experienced a vet that quarantines a dog over a bite that could have been prevented. I have spoken with other vets and was told that a vet office should "know better", especially since it was a provoked bite, meaning that he didnt merely walk up and bite someone for no reason. Whether its lack of proper technician training, I cannot say but, our dog will not be going back.

they do not care, took my dog to them vomiting and left him all day for CARE and when I was told to pick him up, I asked the DOCTOR how he was doing and was told " honestly I have not checked on him ". No one gave me any information about getting him to eat or ANYTHING. END RESULT, he died this morning !!!!!! THANKS FOR NOTHING. When I called to let them know, the lady answering the phone was only concerned with how I was Speaking to her and threatened to hang up on me. SHE SHOULD BE FIRED. Yes I am upset but that`s NO EXCUSE

We have been taking our fur child here ever since we adopted him over two years ago. I really appreciate the later evening hours they have twice a week and Dr. Majors honesty in her recommendations. She has saved us time and money more than once. Its so cute how much our little pup likes Dr Major hes excited to see her every time we go in, might have something to do with the treats she gives him.... You can tell the staff cares and thats super important.

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. Dr. Preiss is the best veterinarian I have ever come across. She listens to my concerns and never tries to "up sell" me. She is prudent in her decisions and is incredibly knowledgeable. We will be clients for as long as we are in Richardson. If you are seeking a quality clinic that genuinely cares about your animals, this is the place for you.

Ive been taking my pets here for the past 18 years. My dogs love every vet that is staffed here. While your pets are being checked up on there are continually spoiled by every tech, receptionist, and doctor that sees them. You can really tell tgat the people who work there truely love what they do, and that they live for animals.
