I have bean taking my 2 Dogs hear for about 6 years now for shots and things. I recently about 2.5 months ago had to bring my small dog Zoey in because of a broken leg. Her leg was totally seperated from the bone. They put a cast on her and said that she would ned surgery to make the repair which consist of Screws and pins. They quotes me almost 3000.00 to do this procedure. After talking to another local vet that was also trying to charge about 1800.00 which was alot cheaper i must add, I then started to do some research. I spoke to a specialist that does this type of work everyday amd she advised me two leave the cast on for about 2 months and it would reform. Well what do you know we just recently took the cast off after 2.5 months and our little Zoey is walking on her leg just fine. The morral of the story is Middle River Vet is just highly expensive and want to charge for everything. The staff are the nicest as can be but that doea not compensate for affordable service. They continue to upgrade the facillity with all this high tech stuff that ia really not needed and put them expenses on there customers. I also found that animals have a much bigger pain tollerance then humans. Before you committ to a vet like this make sure your pockets are deap and your ready to spend plenty of money.

Absolutely love the staff. Ive seen three out of the four vets here. They are all amazing and have great bedside manor. Weve been bringing our bulldog puppy here since march ish and she even got her spay surgery there and they did wonderful. I will definitely be bringing my other dog here. Definitely recommend. And for those complaining about price, you get what you pay for in my opinion. I find EMRV to be priced perfect for the services and friendly staff. Id recommend them to anyone. UPDATE: today 9/16 we saw Dr. Zulty and he is by far my absolute favorite. Weve never been specific when we schedule because we love everyone there, but his vibe was amazing and the way he handled our two dogs was wonderful. Staff is always friendly and even the other families that bring their furr kids here are nice! Never a long wait.

I have been going here with my animals for a few years, previous to that my parents had always taken our family pets to EMRVC.. They are a little pricey, HOWEVER there service justifies it. I am always greeted with a smile and my pets are always welcomed with a petting and a treat. Appointments are easy to make and always easily available. One of my "pet-peeves" is the cleanliness of an office, every time Im there I see an employee cleaning, which is awesome because then you know its clean.. I also love the constant reminders you get emailed, for your scheduled visits and future visits you need to schedule. I have tried other vet offices here and there, but I always find myself back at EMRVC wishing I had spent the extra few dollars.

Our dog, who was not a patient of Essex Middle River Veterinary Center, was seen on an emergency with no problem and provided extraordinary care. Our dog, who had been a patient for over nine years at Banfield Hospital refused to see her when they were notified that she was having a difficult time breathing. I cannot express how grateful we were for the doctor and support staff at Essex Middle River Veterinary Center. Last year Oct. 2nd we put our Dog down there and wow they did an amazing job with his ashes. The box the ashes came was beaut. this Oct. My other dog got her tail caught in the door.
