I am extremely disappointed with this vet. They were my selected vet of choice for many years and I regret it beyond belief. I adopted 2 litter mates and we didnt know their daddy so we knew that they needed to be tested for Feline Aids and Leukemia. The Dr. told us we just need to get one tested because if one had it, they all did or if that one didnt have it, they all dont. This is not true. We believed that Dr.s statement and we didnt get our little Lily tested and we are sitting here 8 mo. later with feline leukemia. After much research it seems that it is common knowledge that once tested as a small kitten, they should be tested again 6 months later. The Lake Mary Vet Dr. did not inform us of this. We could have given Lily a longer life had we known all of this and now its probably too late. So to bring us where we are today and the misdiagnose of a life time, I took Lily in last Thursday because she was so ill. The Dr. said shes running a fever but all vitals seem fine. I thought it was odd he wouldnt run the Aids and Leukemia test since its so common in cats and we needed to check all possibilities but he didnt. He didnt even acknowledge her paleness which is a sign of something. (To all, if nose, gums and paw pads are pale take notice) This vet was extremely careless and its so surprising since they seem very reputable and friendly. I would hate for anyone to experience what we have so be sure to ask questions and NOT feel embarrassed for being over protective. Had I not been I would not have delivered Lily to the emergency vet in time to live at least one more day so I can properly say goodbye.

We took our English bulldog here to have her cherry eyes fixed. They werent causing her pain but we wanted to take care of them be for they caused problems in the future. After the surgery was complete her cherry eyes popped back up within 48 hours. They told us that they will have To do it again and use more stitches next time and they would only charge us half price. The stitches we were told were dissolvable. Last night we found out after having to bring her to the emergency room that the stitches they used were either not dissolvable or they were not the right dissolvable stiches. As a result of the doctors inability to properly due his job the wrong stitches that were use caused a very bad ulcer in her eye. Her eye then ruptured and today we brought her to a specialist who was left with no other option but to remove my babies eye. I am in complete disgust of the terrible performance of the doctor who attempted to learn something new on my poor baby. Please I beg anybody reading this review DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. YES YOU MIGHT SAVE SOME MONEY BUT AT WHAT RISK. ITS NOT WORTH IT. LEAVE YOUR PETS TREATMENT TO REAL PROFESSIONLS NOT THESE AMATURES. I am only giving a 1 star review because it will not let me post this review with 0 stars. The attached pictures are of what they did to her

I recently relocated to Florida and left behind a wonderful vet. I decided to try Lake Mary Vet Clinic based on online reviews. The vet was very nice (I believe his name is Dr. Sekar), and seemed to care about my cat. However, upon arriving for my appointment, I was met at the desk by a young woman who was flossing her teeth right at the desk. She made no attempt to stop what she was doing and proceeded to talk to me in the midst of this. No smile, no welcome, just flossing and handing me a clipboard with forms to fill out. I also noticed another employee did not have socks on, and just looked somewhat disheveled. There were several urine puddles on the floor that I had to navigate around. A different young lady took over for the first one I spoke to, and she was also the same one who checked me out after my visit. In her attempt to be efficient, she lacked any real personality or friendliness, and just seemed like she was there to do her job and nothing else. I will more than likely go back, only because it is close to home, and the vet seemed competent. However, it goes to show how front and medical staff can make or break the reputation of an otherwise good facility. Well see how things go with future visits.

My husband and I are New York snowbirds with family in Lake Mary and Kissimmee who had recommended Lake Mary Veterinary Clinic. We took our dogs there and were extremely pleased. Very little wait time, very attentive and polite staff, excellent care, and very reasonable pricing. Last year, one of our dogs needed medical attention for a skin problem. We also wanted his nails clipped. He is a 12 year old rescue with a damaged hind leg, so clipping nails is always a concern. The vet tech clipped his nails with no problem and I commend her. He can be difficult - 7 pounds of terror!! I have nothing but good things to say about the doctors and the staff. Most important, having a veterinarian we can trust makes our being snowbirds much easier. We recued a new doggie in Florida last fall (yorkie) that required a lot of medical care. Lake Mary Veterinary Clinic got him well and happy in time for us to take him to New York. He needed his teeth done but was too ill when we rescued him. We took him to Lake Mary Veterinary Clinic a few days ago for his teeth and, as usual, they did a great job. I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and highly recommend them.

Dr Dyer is the answer to a pet lovers prayer: his extensive knowledge, experience and magical Dog Whisperer powers, make him the ideal vet. He knows my dogs intimately and always refers to his detailed files and notes to ensure the best possible care but not over medication of my beloved Maltese dogs. He had to put down my beloved Bambi, when his trachea collapsed all the way down to his stomach. He did so with compassion so gently and provided such moral support and loving care. When my second maltese died of a broken heart within 24 hours, his staff provided great solace for my heart ache and loss. We then rescued another Maltese, also a patient of Dr Dyer. All my dogs love him and actually follow him and his staff around where in the past my dogs have always run for the door. That says it all. Dogs have the best intuitions & so do I. Dr Dyer is like a small town vet with big city expertise and capabilities. More importantly, they treat us pet owners with TLC and actually trust our feedback and intuition, something not all vets do. Look no further. You cannot do better than Dr Dyer. This from a pet owner of decades. Plus they are affordable & NEVER OVERCHARGE!

I took my three 3 year old kitty to get his shots and I had the most horrible experience ever. Dr. Vaughans manner in the way he treated by kitty was atrocious, he did not take him out of his carrier he literally dumped him out and before I could introduce myself he grabbed him behind his neck and began to give him his shots, he did not examine him, weigh him or checked his teeth. I asked them to clip his nails and they were so rough with him be began to hiss, so instead of calming him down they continued to clip his nails and he continued to get more frustrated. Dr. Vaughan then stopped them form cutting his nails so now I have a kitty with clipped nails on one paw. I traveled from Apopka to go to Lake Mary and was shocked and outraged at the treatement of my animal. Maybe I was not the right color since he seemed to have treated other customers very nice but treated by pet like crap. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. Also the waitng room was stink- it smelled like crap. If you are planning on going there I would say think it over.
