No one likes going to the dentist, but Dr. Courtney and her staff make it a pleasant experience. Dr. Courtney is knowledgeable and personable. She recognized an issue no dentist had caught my entire life, and I thank her for it. She helped improve my quality of life. She personally followed up with me after my appointment and I really appreciated that. Additionally her front desk staff are awesome as well. Gina took the time to go over billing with me contacting my insurance when necessary and assisting with other payment options. If youre in the market for a knowledgeable, caring dentist, dont hesitate to book an appointment with Dr. Courtney.

I have a bit of a dental phobia from some really bad prior dental experiences which have kept me away from the dentist for almost 15 years! I finally got to the point where I just couldnt put off my dental health any longer. I came to Ora Dental and Dr. Thurston through many recommendations from my co-workers and clients alike. Today I had my first root canal, something I was terrified of, and it went amazingly well! Dr. Thurston and his team are amazing, they set me at ease and did an exceptional job. Im actually a little excited about my next root canal in a week, it feels great to finally take control of my dental health and ORA is making that happen!

This feels more like a spa and less like a dentist. I love the calming decor and the exam rooms have massage chairs! Ive been going to Ora Dental Studio in Wicker Park for at least 3 years now after moving to the area. Ive had many cleanings and 2 fillings. My most recent filling was just last week. It only took about 30 minutes, and I didnt feel a thing! Most importantly, my discomfort is gone, and I can finally chew on the left side of my mouth. Dr. Thurston is great, and so is his entire staff! Ive referred 2 co-workers already, and I wouldnt hesitate to refer more.

I chipped my tooth and needed to get in as soon as possible. I noticed ORA had a good amount of quality reviews so I scheduled an appointment online with their website. It wasnt at a scheduled time as quick I wouldve liked but I was still impressed by how easy it was. Within 15 minutes I received a call from them asking about available times they could move my appointment up. They got me in, helped me fix my tooth in less than an hour. The staff was great and very friendly and the atmosphere is clean and relaxing. I definitely recommend checking out ORA!

First impression: the space is very nice - not that such things matter, but its a great looking establishment. To the important stuff: Very modern. Very organized. Very thorough cleaning and exams. My hygienist (Jamie) was really nice. He not only did an excellent job but also made sure I was comfortable and kept a nice relaxed conversation going. Dr Thurston was pleasant, succinct, and knowledgeable. Perk: They accept my insurance which is a huge plus. All in all a very nice experience and Im glad I made the change to this dentists office.

Update: Same great hygienist, same great experience. Ive never loved going to the dentist this much in my entire life. .............................. Clean, friendly, quick and easy. I laughed with the hygienist about the weird day time tv show on the screen above my head during the cleaning (Kathy Griffith and Hoda were making disgusting looking, feces-like "burger dogs" for Super Bowl Sunday) and about the "good angle" of my dental profile picture. She was very courteous and professional and I will definitely be going back.

From the office staff ensuring everything went smoothly, to the hygenist explaining what she was doing (needed her to break it down Barney style), to the dentist coming in to go over all the findings and explain the treatment plan, my visit was phenominal. I went with-out dental coverage for several years and was extremely nervous about going back. With-in twenty minutes of being there that nervousness changed to confidence that I had found the best practice in Chicago.

I had such an amazing experience at ORA Dental in Wicker Park! The customer service was great and the facility was beautiful, clean and professional. I would recommend anyone who needs a dentist to give them a visit. They even have TVs on the ceilings to entertain you while you are being worked on. They were educational and explained everything they saw and the reasoning behind their recommendations. I will make sure to get all my dental work at this location!

Had an exam/consultation/cleaning with Katie and Dr. Thurston yesterday and I must say they are great. Im one of those people who loathes going to the dentist but this place is more like a spa. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have what I think is the newest and most high tech equipment out there. I actually left the place having liked my experience. I highly highly recommend them.

Jammie the Hygienist is awesome! Such great conversation and he was so gentle on my teeth. Hygiensts are always more important to me then dentists because you spend so much more time with them. I was nervous about switching locations because I liked my previous Hygienist but this place was so close to my house I had to give them a try and im glad I did.

Theres not one bad thing I could possibly say. The staff is absolutely phenomenal! The office is seriously breath taking for a dental office. It was my first time there and I just cant stop bragging about what an excellent experience I had there. Thank you for everything you guys are amazing. This is definitely the best dentists Ive ever been too. Friendly and courteous, efficient with sorting billing and insurance, hard to know what else to say because they get on with it and do it well. Almost makes going a pleasure what with the mint chocolate flavour polish...but lets not get carried away! Recommended for sure.

Plus they were really flexible with scheduling my appointments to make it work for my schedule! I think Ill actually go 2x/year now that I found this place!

Ive been going here for years. Its a very nice office, all the hygenists are very friendly and thorough, and I never have to wait long. The TVs on the ceiling are a nice touch. They are also very straightforward about what is covered under insurance and what costs extra (e.g. flouride treatment).

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the equipment was all really new/clean, and they were very transparent about everything that was going on. They even show you images and x-rays of your teeth to show you exactly what their concerns are. I highly recommend this location!
