This location provided me top-of-the-line care, though with some caveats. They are absolutely terrible about explaining their billing. A gentleman came in furious about a bill while I waited. Another person was asking a half-dozen pointed questions as they checked out as I went back for my exam. I myself had to make three phone calls to get an explanation of charges on my bill that were not sent to my insurance company, and thus did not appear on my Explanation of Benefits (EoF). This is reflected in the dead-pan stare and confrontational nature of the front-desk staff. This does NOT continue into the back of the store, so I feel this is likely due to having to deal with numerous annoyed customers. This location cost me significantly more than my previous optometrist (>$150), though the equipment is lovely and new, and appears top-of-the-line. This location is bad at explaining billing, though as best I can research, it was all fair, if basically as much as can be charged. This location saw me relatively close to on-time, though I was waiting an excessive amount of time in a windowless, warm exam room. All of the service staff and Dr. Gontarek were very personable and friendly. TLDR; It was alright, but expensive.

AMAZING. I walked into a wall yesterday (yeah I lost all cool points) and destroyed my glasses. Lens popped out, frame bent beyond recognition but figured I would stop by to see if they could order parts. The young man working on 29 March smiled and said he would be right back. 6 minutes later he came back out and they looked bran new. I asked what he had to replace and he said nothing, just needed to tweak the frame. Pure Magic that is the only way to describe it. I wish I had a picture to show how bad they where. The spot where the lens went was crushed but now they are perfect. They have a customer for life.

My 9-year-old was having trouble seeing the board at school. I made her an appointment at GEC and we were VERY pleased with our experience. Dr. Scott Gontarek was so good with her (he and his wife have kids near her age). He then walked us to where we pick out the glasses. The lady helping my daughter choose her glasses was very patient, letting her try on as many as she liked and was ready with recommendations. They explained our insurance benefits to us, and it was very easy to understand. The rest of the family will definitely be seeing Drs. Gontarek from now on and we will be recommending them to everyone.

This place was recently moved from the Greenbrier mall eye care that used to be next to the lenscrafters and have been with them ever since. However, since I have been at the new place, I have had a couple issues scheduling and talking to the front desk. They have their own eye glasses selection which is very limited. Ive been there a few times and felt as though I was rushed, and when you are not being rushed, you are waiting. Expect to wait 15-20 minutes past your scheduled appointment time. Parking is limited and very hard to get to during rush hour. I preferred the Greenbrier Mall location to this one.

I started seeing Lisa Gontarek at her old location and when she move to her new location so did I and that has been many years now. On most recent visit I had the pleasure of meeting Scott Gontarek ,and it was pleasure. He made feel right at ease and was familiar with my history. My overall experience with this practice has been excellent. Im more than happy to recommend them to any of friends or anyone whos looking for a great practice for their familys eye care needs.

We are a military family....being stationed here we had to find a new Optometrist for the family. We were definitely a winner ....they are wonderful! Between myself and the three children we had the opportunity to see Dr. Scott and Dr. Erin. Very knowledgeable! From the beginning setting up appointment till the end it was great! I highly recommend Gontarek Eye Care especially to all the military that are looking for an Optometrist .

I was VERY pleased with the ease in getting an appointment AND the promptness in being seen. The office was welcoming and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I was lucky to see Dr. Scott Gontarek and was extremely impressed with his pleasant approach with patients and his ability to explain technical issues in an clear and understandable way. I am bringing my entire family here I was so pleased!!!

I am extremely pleased to be back with Dr. Gontarek, I had made the mistake of not following to her new location when they had first moved. Now that I am back on track I remember how much of a pleasant experience it is to be dealing with individuals whom excel at friendly & efficient customer service all the way around. I do not know what was in my mind when I went to another Dr. just due to location.

First, the location is hard to get to. Second, the receptionist was not friendly or helpful with my eye problem. Third, I was told to sit and wait so she could check a customer out then I continued to wait for her to do various other office tasks. This experience had made my decision to pursue eye surgery much easier. I have my eye surgery appointment Monday instead of with this office.

I have gone to Dr. Lisa for several years. She has been very helpful and answers all of my questions about my eye issues. Dr. Scott is equally helpful and explains in detail the options for my treatment. The office is very friendly and appointments are "on time." Great experience. My family is equally as satisified. If you do not have an eye doctor I heartily recomment this office.

They make you feel like you are the most important person on their client list and remember you and whats going on with you. Its personal and personable both. Best eye doctors and eye care clinic Ive ever been to Gontarek Eye Care. Used to use the national chains, but am glad I switched. The personal care from the doctors to the staff is excellent. My yearly eye exam is thorough because of their top-notch equipment, and my eye glasses are perfect. Love the frames, the fit and everything about them!!!

My daughter and I have gone to this practice for years. We started using Dr. Lisa Gontarek when they were located at Greenbrier Mall. They have moved locations and we followed them. The office is clean, open, and inviting. All staff members are friendly and courteous. We travel 3 hours to see them and are always satisfied.
