I will NEVER be returning back to Kool Smiles . The services is TERRIBLE and the staff "believe" that it is okay to treat customers like crap. I made and confirmed an appointment for 1:30, arrived at 1:20 just to be told rudely that I had a 1 p.m. appointment. I was rudely told that I had to try walking in another day, since they only see adults in the morning. I left and called the call center and they apologize and made me another point for 3 p.m. Again, I drove back to the dentist, just to be denied service AGAIN. The front desk girl was extremely rude and spoke to me in a very belittling tone. When I came back for the 2nd time, the lady raised her voice at me and said " I told you the first time we only see adults in the morning as walk-ins". and told her that someone made me an appointment and she responded, "well its our policy". I ask okay show me where this policy is written so I can read it myself, and she said " I DONT KNOW, ITS OUR POLICY". I ask for a manager and she said no manager would be in until Monday. Today is Thursday, I would hope that they would NEVER leave such inhospitable staff alone. I have never been treated so badly EVER in my life. I turn 21, less than a month ago and did not know that meant I am unable to be seen by their dentist. I drove 3 hours for this appointment just to be denied service not once, but TWICE. NEVER AGAIN. There is a lot more negative things that had occurred, all of which are very disturbing.

As far as I can tell the clinical staff are excellent professionals. The location and scheduling availability were good for me. However, the customer experience sucks. The waiting room features televisions blasting Fox News. I asked the staff to turn it down but they said their patrons need something to watch. This is a pediatric medical service, yet few pediatricians in this country think children are getting too *little* screen exposure. Thinking that children have a problem that putting them in front of screens can solve is just awful. That its Fox rubs salt in the wound. In addition, I had problems with my insurance. These were not the dental companys fault. But because of their rigid bureaucratic procedures, I actually had to make and come for three appointments with my son before we got it straightened out. They would submit my info to their billing department, who would submit it to the company. Wed wait half an hour, learn there was a problem, and then be told that wed missed our scheduling slot. I am certain that a smaller, more traditional practice like the one we used to go to would have just seen us and then worked it with the insurance company. In fact, I think I will switch back to them.

Im amazed at the reviews Im reading about this location. This Kool Smiles must have certain days they display "Good Quality Customer Service". Ive been going to this dental office for three years almost. The dentist are great and so are the dental assistants but the front desk extremely UNPROFESSIONAL especially Andrew. The tone, the body language their strategy to resolve issues isnt suitable to front desk representatives. The representative that schedules appointments hung up on me one day, Im assuming she didnt know the answer to my question (which was about PRICING) Instead of relaying the call to someone who did, she giggled, hung up and Never called me back. Be prepared to wait up to an hour past your appointment time to be seen. Theyre ALWAYS behind schedule. If you planned for a delay just take the ENTIRE DAY off, because youre going to be atleast 2-3 hours behind after dropping your little one off at school. Unfortunately my family doesnt have medical insurance right now, so I pay for each appointment out of my own pocket. I cringe at the thought of sharing my hard earned money with a company that shows such poor consideration for customers. Disgusting.

I recently visited Kool Smiles for my kids 6 month cleaning . The front desk staff need customer service training. I was not greeted when I signed in. I sat and waited and had to go back to the desk to tell the Spanish girl that I had signed in. She said she thought someone else signed me in mind you there were no other staff members sitting at the front desk. I was told 4 other people had 9:45 appointments the same as mines and since they signed in before I would have a wait. There is always a problem, there is always at least a hour or more wait and only one doctor. However the dentist assistant with the dreads is very nice and lets you know up front if there is a wait something the front desk should let the patients know . Dr. O is great as well those two are the only reason why i continue to bring my son to this location. My son at first hated going to the dentist until Dr. O saw him now he loves it.. Thank to those two..

I enjoy going to Kool smiles for the orthodontist. I decided to get my braces done there because I take my daughter there. Braces are very expensive but they have made it affordable. I got my braces on ago a month and half ago. The orthodontist department is great thus far they are professional and listen to my concerns. Now what does need to improve is the scheduling of clients . I took my daughter there for her appointment which was booked as the same time I was getting my braces on which would took only 45 minutes. My sister sat with my daughter for 45 minutes and they were not called and 2 hours later after my braces were put on my daughter had still not been seen. I informed the desk that I will not be bringing my daughter back to the general dentist in Takoma Park, md. I hope to have better luck at the D.C. Location.

Ive been to this location 3 times & each time I was unsatisfied with the service. If you are scheduling an appointment, it would be in your best interest to select a weekday. The noise level will be manageable and the wait time will be about 10mins instead of an hour. The staff was very impatient, as I was straighten out my information over the phone a staff member forcefully announced to the me that the doctor was waiting, after I asked for a moment to collect myself. The service from the dentist and her assistant wasnt any better, unless you want your child to know about the different men theyre dating this isnt the place for your impressionable child. Overall the service was unsatisfactory, but this place is ok if you need to have an appointment for your child the next day.

My experience at Kool smiles at Hechinger Mall was nice once i got to the back with my daughter. This is my second time coming to this location, and both times i came up to the register desk I WAS NOT GREETED. The customer service at the front desk is terrible. The (Spanish lady) did NOT use eye contact at ANYTIME i was asking her a question. I had to ask her where do i sign in at, and she gave me the finger to hold on because she was speaking on the phone. I have never been greeted this way in a professional enviroment. Not only once, but twice by the same young lady... There needs to be CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING at the FRONT DESK. With this type of service, this company could lose alot of business and go elsewhere.
