I recently moved to Maryland, and my daughter Joyce strongly recommended her dentist, Mark Hochman, DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery). My first visit was on March 20, 2013. I was greeted by the receptionist (Rhonda) who I had made the appointment with. She was very pleasant and helpful, and since I had arrived early for my first visit explained that there would be a short wait. She then offered me a cup of coffee and pointed out that a copy of that days Washington Post and Maryland Independent newspapers were on the table. (The waiting room and the exam rooms are bright and cheerful. When I commented on how nice and new the office looked I was surprised to learn that they had moved into the office three years ago.) I was impressed by how quickly and carefully the dental hygienist Dianna performed her duties, informed me what she would be doing, what I might feel, and how long some of the procedures would take. Dr. Hochman warmly greeted me, and I was very impressed with how thoroughly he examined me, and documented his findings. Id highly recommend Dr. Hochman and his friendly and helpful staff to anyone in search of knowledgeable, honest, personable and professional dental care.

I would like to thank Dr .Hochman, Mellissa and the rest of his fantastic team. I felt totally comfortable and at ease. His patience first allowed me to put my trust in them, which only grew as my treatment continued. Now, after a number of treatments which enabled me to "smile” for my wedding, I can honestly say that he has become more than just my dentist—he has become a valuable friend. It’s hard to believe that the smile I see in the mirror is mine. I never thought I could look this good, or feel this good. I highly recommend his team to anyone looking for an incredible Dentist. Meeting them has changed my life forever! Honestly he made it possible for me to smile for the very first time in 38 years.. I feel like a new person!! Had my initial visit to this office today. The moment you walk in you receive a warm welcome by a cheerful and professional team working the front desk. Minutes later I was introduced to the hygienist, who was equally outstanding. She definitely puts you at ease. Then Dr Hochman came in and hes hands down the best Dr. you could possibly ask for. Every single one of them is great at their job. They were by far the best dentist office Ive ever seen, enough that I dont dread making an appt to go there again. To add to everything, my most recent follow-up appointment was the day before my birthday. While waiting for my walkout papers, they presented me with a cupcake and sang Happy Birthday. I thought for sure my wife had put them up to it, but nope, that was purely the office managers doing.

My 7 year old daughter had her first appointment with Dr. Hochmans office yesterday and from the moment we walked into the office the staff made her feel relaxed and comfortable. She had quite a lot of work done and did an amazing job and I owe it all to Dr. Hochman, Terra and the rest of the staff. Great dentist, and great dental team! I have been going to Dr. Hochman for years, and he as well as his staff are always extremely friendly, and make the experience a pleasant one. Dr. H and Terra even came in one afternoon on their day off to assist me with a severe toothache that I was having! They are dedicated to their patients, and the bedside manner is outstanding. Great dentist! Office is very efficient, clean, organized, pleasant and supportive. Mark is a great dentist and I followed him from his old office in Leonardtown to the place here in LaPlata.
