While Dr. Deb Thomas is one of the best for us she recommended that I bring my Akita puppy by just to stop in and socialize her theory is to make the vets office a place of comfort not just exams a familiar place associated with more than just shots, since my pup has finished his "puppy" shots I have walked my dog 1.7 miles to her office 6 times had him weighted got water and and cookies its been great for Ryder and myself I give Dr.Deb Thomas 5 stars...........I give the office staff 3 stars I have walked into that office more than I have ever visited a vet, the same women behind the desk still have to ask my name my dogs name it seems more of an inconvenience to them you have to specifically ask for water (they know from my past visits that we are on a "walk about" and how far we walked) and try and ask for plastic sacks (poop bags) I took 2 dogs there that day and used the two bags on the way there (it was unusual) and while she gave me a bag for the walk home she stated their bags were for clean up in the office:-/. I will go back to Dr. Thomas but I am done "socializing" my pup @ Horse cart.

I made the mistake of taking my exotic pet here based on the recommendation of a local pet store owner. It was a rather expensive mistake. The facility is beautiful and the staff is friendly. The vet seemed nice enough but was definitely not trained in exotics care. He had to run in back to look everything up and seemed to get confused several times regarding the dosing of medication and had to be corrected by the technician. He prescribed far to short a dose of antibiotics and wouldnt consider anything else without doing expensive Xrays. The illness was the absolute most common in this animal and in all my years of keeping them I have never had a vet require an Xray for diagnosis. I wouldnt have an issue with it if he had been honest about his inexperience, but both the vet and the staff swore he was trained in caring for exotics. I had to take my pet to yet another vet (this one appropriately trained) to have the illness treated properly. I definitely wont be returning.

I wouldnt take my dog anywhere else! I live over an hour away, my dog was very sick and I didnt know why. I went to a vet that was local for me, they wanted so much money up front. I was in the middle of a pay period and completely broke. I then got referred to Horse Cart by a family member. I took my baby boy there and he was sent home with antibiotics. He didnt get better so we rushed him in 3 days later because we thought he got into rat poison. They took him right away and had to keep him over night. I got calls to let me know hes okay the next day and to tell me to come get him. It turned out he had a liver issue but they fixed him right up. The bill was so reasonably priced. I still couldnt pay at that time. So I am now paying a very small amount every two weeks to pay off his bill. They are willing to help so much. They are very warm and loving to the people that come in and the furry ones we love so dearly. I cant give them a high enough rating!

Im going to have to downgrade my rating. I have 4 dogs and they keep getting the Date of Birth, Weights and Names mixed up on our dogs.... I arrive and they say "Okay, so Chicas her for her rabies?" I say "No, BABY is!", etc. or they say "okay, so Chica weighs 8 lbs" and I say, "No Baby does, Chica is only 4 lbs" I finally got angry and demanded a Manager contact me to when I learned they had all 4 dogs dates/years of birth mixed around (our 4 yr old was listed as the 16 year old and vice versa)-- so we need to sort this out permanently from hereon out so they get the right shots, the right dosage, and no double-doses, no missed vaccines, etc. The Manager never called!!! Would you accept that confusion with your children? Oops, it was Emilys appendix and Tommy was the one that needed tonsils out? So when they cant even return a call from an EXTREMELY CONCERNED customer, its just too much.

I cant say how glad we are to have such a caring and experienced clinic in our community. Through good times and bad...they have given our animals top quality care. When the situation called for it they were quick to seek advice from specialists where many vets would simply fumble through. As a breeder, it was very nice to find a vet that will listen to us about our breed and any quirks it may have. The office staff is phenomenal! You dont feel like you have to run the guantlet before you even see a doctor. The techs are very good, too! I have spent a number of hours in the back with a sick dog and can attest to the love and care each and every animal is given. The care of the animals comes first. Wouldnt want to go anywhere else! Thank you, Horse Cart!!!

This vet lied to me about price, offered meto leave my pet for an hour because I was sick and then charged me for it, told me they were going to give my cat a simple UA and then gave him an IV without permission and charged me for it. Not only did they do that but when asked about it, they lied about it, tried to hide it and then avoided dealing with it. The front desk was unprofessional, uneducated and rude. I will not go back and if you do, you Better make sure you watch every second of what they do and read your invoice thoroughly before you leave. Because if they feel money is no object they will definitely take advantage of you!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! The Dr. had concern for my dog from the very beginning. When we had a problem with post op care he took care of everything. This Dr. is honest, caring and one of the last great people on earth! He even took personal care for my dog to ensure she was going to be ok for us to bring home! I would highly recommend you bring your animals here. Top notch care and concern only about your pets first! He also has a nice, new, clean facility and staff is very nice and friendly. My only wish is that he be open 24/7 and be a much needed Emergency care facility.....!!
