Dr. Valin has to be the most arrogant and rude man that has ever served at that location or perhaps in cardiology. This office told me, in fact called me giving me information that contradicted what another doctor said, and coupled with the the fact I told the other Doctor wrong information I figured florida cardiovascular would get the messed straightened out. Instead the doctor was an hour and a half late, took no time to listen to me, and again completely contradicted the other Doctor while this time contradicting himself. I have fainting spells that come from drawing blood and I told the ekg specialist/ cardiologist I faint for 8 minutes ( not true its only 15 seconds to 2 minutes I guessed ) after talking to the ekg specialist/ Doctor he believed this was definetly ventricular fibrillation, since vasovagal episodes are extremely common , and these spells I have are more akin to vasovagal and not the ventricular fibrillation I was told I was having ( or aborted sudden cardiac death ) I was happy to tell the doctors so I could cancel the surgery for a defibrillator since Im a young adult under 25. However Dr.Valin was running an hour and a half late and the person I had come to the visit with me who has seen me have 5 or so episodes was there to explain said episodes had to leave as they had prior engagements and didnt plan for a professional to be more than an hour late, the doctor did not listen to a single thing I had to say. The only thing that came out of his mouth was I agree we need the defibrillator, even when I told him that the reason the elf specialist/ cardiologist said I needed the defibrillator was because the episodes were 8 minutes at least and resembled ventricular fibrillation. Dr Valin said these issues are independent and I have brugada syndrome so I need the defibrillator (even though initially he wasnt the one to suggest the defibrillator or that I had the disease he said it could just be beningn and part of a normal ekg). I have a type 3 brugada pattern which is not directly indicative of brugada syndrome, and I have never had any cardiac related synchope episodes as they were all fainting spells caused by massive panic and the fear of needles (it always hall s when drawing blood). When I told the doctor how much more simple it would be to hook up leads to my brain and heart to monitor what they do during one of these episodes in which all they need to do is draw blood, the doctor said "no I believe the defibrillator is the correct course of action." This doctor without knowing proper valid information, family history, or even completely understanding the underlying issues in a brugada patient hat would warrant a defibrillator. In the medical field this is a new desease and to be dismissed as an idiot like I was and the way the doctor made rude comments like "well you are a doctor arent you!?!?" Made it apparent that he just wanted to go home and doesnt care about my quality of life or pyschological wel being. I guess No sir Im just not an idiot who runs an hour and a half late and refuses to give people the proper time they deserve. Putting a defibrillator in a patient due to false information given to someone before even doing thorough testing to rectify or verify the situation is rediculous, let alone staring into a patients face and saying they are going to die from a disease when they have yet to definetively diagnose it is ludicrous. I have a type 3 brugada pattern which is not definitive proofof the actual brugada syndrome, and if my syncope is completely a panic induced reaction , there is no definitive proof to say I have this disease. Completely terrible person. Rude , arrogant, and doesnt care about his patients quality of life at all or the psychological impacts of his rash, brazen actions. Should have his medical license revoked.

The place is all about the money. They did not care that the medicine they prescribed to me was almost out. They were interested in my bill getting paid and refused to give me s refill on blood pressure medicine that they prescribed. Im sorry I dont have 3000 dollars laying around to pay for unnecessary tests that they said I had to have and never gave me results for. So this place is not only going to damage my credit but they also wanted to tell me to go to urgent care to try to get a refill there. There are way more professional cardiologist in town and elsewhere that want to help you. Money trumps your health at this place.
