My introduction to Montgomery Veterinary Associates began when my one-year-old collie, Scot, began having blood in his stools. Dr. Charles MacLemore treated Scot, and not only did everything medically possible - but even called me at work to check on Scot since he wasnt getting better. Since Scot had quit eating and was losing weight rapidly, Dr. MacLemore sat down on the floor with Scot and hand-fed him his own chicken breakfast biscuits. Sadly, Scot had contracted protothecosis, which is extremely rare, and for which there is no treatment and no cure. It is 100% fatal, usually within 4 months. Scot survived the condition for 2 1/2 years and never developed the expected neurological problems. So I totally recommend MVA. Their expertise, compassion, and professionalism never waned and Scot loved going in to get weighed and visit with all his friends there - both human friends who were employees and the blind clinic cat, "Vision."

Cade and the entire MVA team have been absolutely phenomenal when we had to have a knee surgery done on our very large breed dog. She is older and sensitive to anesthesia, but there were no problems at all, and a week after the surgery she is bearing weight and walking around. In addition to the great results from the surgery, we had a few little "concerns" on whether x behavior was normal or if we should do something, both times we called in we were almost immediately connected with The vet who performed the surgery and he was able to offer us solutions over the phone for both problems. I highly recommend this practice, for everything from daily check ups to major orthopedic surgeries. We live in New York City, and still fly our dog to Alabama whenever it is something we are significantly concerned about and want the best possible care.

My dog is a frequent flyer at Montgomery Veterinary Associates! From eating my pearl necklace to everyday issues - MVA has been an awesome partner for us in our goal of keeping my puppy healthy. Not only is the staff professional but the doctors are nice - easy to talk with and they take the time to ensure they address whatever issue we are experiencing. There are few vets I would trust with my little girl and this place is it! Thank you for the amazing job you do and for making the puppy stage of this little lab a little easier on her masters! If you are looking for a place to take your pet - this is it! Dr. Aman, Dr. Williford and Dr. McLemore are my picks - but they are all great.

We left Florida because of hurricane, took this route to Chattanooga to miss traffic, my two dogs were sick the entire drive, diarrhea and vomiting, 12 hours by this time of constant diarrhea and vomiting from one med size dog and one very large dog, Not A Fun trip so far. I googled vets in the area and found these guys, I truly cant say enough good about them, they took us right in on a moments notice and got everything taken care of, I was at my wits end, thank you thank you thank you for your help and your kindness, if I lived in the area I would definitely use these guys

These vets take a personal interest in our pets! Dr McLemore has always been kind and caring. Dr Williford was there when our schnauzer had trouble during the delivery of her puppies. We had to bring her in and finish the delivery in the office and Dr Williford was there for the whole process. Dr Armstrong and Dr Aman have been great additions, easy to discuss problems with and obviously care about our pets. The office staff is friendly and easy to work with. We appreciate MVA caring for our dogs as if they were theirs!

All the doctors at MVA are wonderful. Our two boxers have been seen by Drs. Armstrong, McLemore, Williford and Aman. Dr. Aman recently performed surgery on our female boxer to remove a mast cell tumor from her leg. He was very knowledgeable and kept us informed throughout the process. It is nice to have someone who cares as much for your pets as you do in times of illness. We will continue to use MVA for all our veterinary needs and would recommend them to anyone in the River Region. Thanks MVA!

All of the Doctors are great and the rest of the staff is friendly and helpful as well. Dr. Aman has treated our dog since he joined the practice. His knowledge and service is second to none. Back in the mid 90s I took a senior dog to Dr. Charles McLemore. He sat down on the floor and talked loudly so my old, hard of hearing dog could hear him. I knew then that I had found my vet. Day or night, MVA has been there to take care of our beloved pets with the best of care and concern. Dr. McLemore and the remaining staff and vets of Montgomery Veterinary Associates receive my highest recommendation.

I have gone to this location before and the doctor we saw seemed very nice and comforting but I just got of the phone to possibly schedule another visit for my new cat and the lady who answered was very rude, not really understanding and seemed to have a snippy attitude like she didnt have time to answer my questions. This kind of behavior makes me not want to take my cat there again.

I used to go to the Vaughn Road Location, but found that the Carter Hill Road location is closer to where I live. I have found that both clinics are very professional and caring about your pet. My wife and I are going on a short vacation sometime in August and plan on leaving our Flea at the clinic while we are away. Cant get any better than MVA.

I have had a dreadful experience every time Ive had to visit. If theres a way for them to overcharge you, they will find it. $20 pickup fees for boarding? They tell ya something will cost $135, you go there next week and its now $150. McLemore is the worst of them all.
