Dr. Dave is the real deal. My 10yo son had his first visit this week and was excited to see the kids section of the reception area, which was filled with video games and other fun things to do. After the exam, Dr. Dave called me back to review my sons x-rays, point out problem areas he would monitor (e.g., potential crowding and one area exhibiting early signs of decay), and recommend a game plan for how to proceed. My son has a small chip on his front tooth that could be repaired ($$), but Dr. Dave recommended that I hold off for a few years until my son is less likely to re-damage the tooth with outside play. Not only is his office convenient (just down Six Forks from North Hills Mall), but it is beautiful, too, and features complimentary beverages for the grown-ups! I really appreciated that Dr. Dave and his staff were so personable and genuinely interested in making sure my sons experience was pleasant. If you are searching for a dentist who is friendly, competent, professional, and efficient, you should call Midtown Pediatric Dentistry.

We just got back from Dr. Slawinskis office where he filled 2 of my daughters teeth. This was our second visit and I am in awe of how patient and wonderful this dentist was. He totally put me and my daughter at ease. He was gentle and kind toward my daughter and she just loved him and his staff. Not to mention he has a VERY cool office with T.V. in the ceilings for the kids to watch. My daughter has had a serious case of dentistry phobia and I thought she was going to be a terror but she did great! He told her, "if you feel any pain at all let me know and I will try something different" The first thing my daughter said when we left his office was, "I didnt feel a thing, he is the best dentist ever"~ The last two dentist she has seen in the past one had to hold her down. Dr. Slawinski explained to her every thing he was doing and even let me go in with her. Which also put my daughter at ease. I cant say enough good about Midtown Pediatric Dentistry. I found Dr. Slawinskis practice online and was convinced to seek his dental care for my two young children (almost 3 and 6) because of the two previous reviews. My experience with him confirms the rave reviews that he has gotten so far. His office is ultra-modern and kid-friendly. He also has terrific bedside manners in relation to his patients (the kids) and to the parents, making sure to take his time to explain what he sees and respond to questions or concerns from the parents. My kids loved going to see him as their dentist and look forward to doing so again in the future. He also personally took the time to call my dental insurance to verify whether the treatments he recommended will be covered by the insurance. I dont know of any doctor who does that in advance. All in all, I cant recommend Dr. Slawinski and his friendly staff highly enough.

Absolutely love this place! I recommend Dr. Dave to all of my friends and patients with young children and children who are anxious about going to the dentist! Dr. Dave has a very calming demeanor. He explains everything he is doing before and during treatment! I have managed dental offices for 16 years and he is the best with kids I have ever seen! There are soo many adults still scared of going to the dentist because of 1 bad experience as a child! Do your children the favor of not having that fear the rest of their lives and start them out with Dr. Dave! The staff is always pleasant and friendly as well from Ann and Alex at the front to Dr. Daves assistant, Brittany. Cannot say enough wonderful things about Midtown Pediatric!

I was doubtful choosing this office because I could not find a negative review and that always makes me wonder...but I now understand why there are none. They were AMAZING. My toddler was less than cooperative for his first appointment and they were so patient and encouraging. She did what she could and didnt make a big deal about it. My older child was extremely apprehensive going in but loved the experience overall. There was no judgement on us, as parents, even though my son will need some extra work done or that it was my 5 year olds first visit. I could not think of anything that could have made our appointments better. I would recommend this dental office to ANYONE, without hesitation.

Love Dr. Dave and his staff. This is the second pediatric dentist that we visited for what we thought was an extra tooth. The previous dentist claimed it was an extra tooth and that we should just be extra careful in brushing it. A couple of months later, we came to see Dr. Dave for a second opinion due to some staining. Turns out, it was a gemination or twin tooth that would not really have been possible to keep clean. We went through the options, and ultimately decided to pull it out. He and his team made our little guy (and us) so comfortable with the process. It was over very quickly and he fully recovered shortly thereafter. Very happy with our choice.

I almost never do reviews, but I was impressed enough upon my initial visit to Midtown Pediatric Dentistry to write one. Other companies should send their staffs here to learn how to provide great customer service. Everyone from the moment we checked until the moment we checked out was polite, courteous, patient with my son who was there for his first ever visit to the dentist, and met us with a smile. Thanks for making our first visit a pleasant one.

Dr. Dave and staff are awesome! We experienced every parents nightmare today. Our childs tooth was hurt in school and we had to rush in for an emergency visit. Dr. Dave was so kind to see him during the offices lunch hour. He not only comforted our son, but comforted us as parents as well. You want to pick an office where the dentist treats your kids as they would treat their own. I assure you that this is that place! We are forever greatful!

Dr. Slawinski saw us on short notice today when my 16 month old fell and chipped a tooth. He returned my "distress" call quickly and worked us right in. He was wonderfully patient in dealing with a squirmy toddler. The office is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for children from the bath toys they gave my daughter at the end of the visit to the continuously playing (room to room) movie. A wonderful experience (if thats possible at the dentist)!

We visited Midtown Pediatric Dentistry today after a few referrals from a Facebook group of moms that spoke highly of them. From the receptionist (Alex) to the hygienist (Jenna) and then Dr. Dave, our experience was WONDERFUL! They even have toys in the consult / cleaning area! Just a small detail showing how much they understand and care that the children enjoy their trips to the office. Thrilled to have found them.

We were so pleased with Dr. Dave and Ms Melissa. My son who is four LOVED going to the dentist for the first time. The office is very clean, modern, and fun!! The experience was relaxed but professional. Dr. Dave answered all of my questions (some of which were about another child he wasnt even seeing that day) and was awesome with my son who was a bit nervous. Looking forward to taking my other two children back!
