We had gone to Stoney creek for years. Had two successful runs with a golden retriever and border collie. It wasnt until recently we started having issues. The incident that sent us to park side animal hospital was an incident involving my soon to be deceased blue heeler. We had taken him in for excessive vomiting, increased aggressiveness, a wobbly gate, and far away eyes, struggling to focus. The vet said it was most likely nothing, even though I specifically brought up the likely diagnosis: brain cancer. The vet treated the case like it was just another block to check, and sent us on our way with nothing but an unsuccessful blood test. A week later, my dogs wobbling like a tall plant in the wind and cant walk. The worst part is when I call the clinic, they tell me they cant do anything for him (meds) until the doc got in the next day. After I calmed down from my partial coniption fit, I took my dog to park side animal hospital. They put their heart and soul right on the front lines. It had a family vibe to it. They got us what we needed, and are very good at calling back. I dont know if an early diagnosis would have saved my buddy, but the fact he had all this evidence in front of him and thought of it as nothing made me leave Stoney creek for good. Personally, the guy seemed like he got good grades in vet school, but has no critical thinking skills. If you want a place that cares, go to park side.

My dog was scheduled to have eye surgery and the weekend before I was told the vet had a family emergency and I would get a call to reschedule on Monday. I had no problem with this and waited for the call Monday but I never received one. I called Tuesday and they first asked if this was regarding a different dog. I said no and they told me a vet tech would call me back. No call. I called again Wednesday, they answered again asking if he was a different dog, and he was finally rescheduled for a month after the original surgery. I felt as though they completely forgot about my dog. This was my first bad experience with them so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and use them for his second eye surgery. The second surgery was scheduled with the wrong vet though they did call me to reschedule and got him in much quicker this time. Between these two surgeries my dog had and other visits around 5pm (surgery pickup time) Ive watched an overload of owners wait in line to pay with whining, scared dogs. In addition, my first vet left and I was never alerted of it until my next appointment when I was told who the new one was. Both vets and the tech I continuously had during appointments were great to my dog but the constant messes I had to watch and deal with were enough for me to take my business elsewhere and not recommend them.

Bad place to take your dog - I called to have my older Lab looked at and before I could set an appointment I was notified that I had an account that was past due and that I would need to settle the account before I could schedule an appointment. I talked with the office manager and he let me know that my account was turned over to a collection agency. I called the collection agency and they told me the account was paid in full a couple of years ago. I called the office manager again to let him know that the account was paid and that they should update their records. He informed me that I could not schedule an appointment for my Dog because I was a credit risk and asked how I have left without paying. At this point I just wanted them to update their records and they told me they would but Ill be sure to check back because there seems to be no communication between the collection agency and the clinic. They wont have me and I would never go back.

I currently have my 8th and 9th dogs, as I have always had at least 2 at a time. As such, I have a great deal of experience with Veterinarians. When we moved to Carmel, I took my 2 little newly rescued puppies to Dr. Kunkler. We could not be more pleased. My adult daughter got a kitten and she loves going in for vet appointments, as do I. The office staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our pets are made to feel very special and as far as medical care, Dr. Kunkler is one who researches for the very best treatments. If your dogs and cats are like your children and you want a "pediatrician-like" doctor, Dr. Kunkler is for you. I also had Dr. Lemmons at an appointment one time, and like her equally as well.

I took my 4 month old kitten here Friday and told the vet my kitten had stopped eating. The vet took temp, felt his stomach, checked ears and eyes and mouth..said he was fine, sent me home with flea meds and 2 cans of prescription canned foods. My kitten didnt get better,he got worse, still didnt eat,i called back, they wantedcto charge me an arm and a leg,i said i cant afford, all they cared about was money,my cat had to be put down Monday afternoon, the vet i took him to couldnt believe that they sent him home without tryn to give him fluids. My kitty is gone now and i feel like his worth was based on my amount in my purse..its awful to be turned away due to money..by so called animal lovers.

My husband and I have been taking our dogs to Dr. Wilson at Stoney Creek Pet Clinic for over 10 years now and we couldnt be happier! The staff have always been friendly and helpful and more than willing to accommodate us with our needs. Judy, the receptionist, always has a smile and Dr. Wilson has always freely given all the time we needed with her. She has gone above and beyond to explain what was needed and has the BEST bedside manner with our fur babies! We cant say enough good things about Stoney Creek and believe that you, too, will be more than pleased with them providing care for your four-legged family members!

VCA Stoney Creek Animal Hospital is a wonderful place to take your cat or dog. They are a very caring staff. Rhonda is great office manager. Dr. Wilson and Dr. Lemmon are both great veterinarians. Taylor loves Natalie, who is one of the vet technicians at VCA Stoney Creek. Every time Taylor goes to VCA Stoney Creek for an appointment, she greets the girls at the front desk by barking, letting them know that she is there. My parents and I are very happy with VCA Stoney Creek. I would highly recommend VCA Stoney Creek Animal hospital.
