I loved Franklin Animal Clinic, and I would advise everyone I know to go there. Unfortunately I had to move to Bloomington. I continued to take one of my cats there for behavior therapy medication and checkups. Dr. Lunsford was amazing. She gave me internet sites to look into, she tried every therapy in her arsenal, she answered every question I had, and she genuinely cared about my little guy. (Not many people do, hes sort of a jerk. To everyone but me, anyway.) But she could see how important he is to me, and Im forever grateful to her for that. In addition to Dr. Lunsford, the entire staff (except one rude nurse who I only saw in there once. I dont think she works there anymore.) was very kind and I could always count on them to go above and beyond for my four-legged kids. They are a bit expensive (especially on a student budget, and then dealing with unemployment) but they were always aware of my situation and even helped reduce my costs a few times by doing phone consults and mailing medications. I am so thankful for the care my cats (and several other foster cats I had) got at this clinic. Now that Im in a new town and have to search for a new vet, I realize how lucky I was to have found FAC. Its going to be tough finding a clinic that I trust as much as I do them. So if youre in the same shoes I am, searching through reviews looking for quality care, trust me when I say youve found it.

I found Franklin Animal Clinic on Google. I had a 5 week old golden retriever puppy. He was unknowingly born with a multitude of problems which led to a surgery which wouldve cost thousands of dollars and a slim survival rate. The office was very good at getting me in to see the doctor thru our 2 week in and out ordeal. I had to end up relinquishing my puppy to the clinic due to not having the thousands of dollars for surgery and no guarantee of survival. What bothers me the most is the fact that I was told by my vet that they would call and keep me updated because I was of course and still am very distraught over all the sudden news about my puppy. I called several times over the last few weeks with being told that the vet would call me back. I still have not received a call. I understand that when you relinquish an animal to the clinic that you no longer have rights, but I was told from the beginning that I would be kept updated on his condition. This has been a horrible situation for me because I had grown, in a very short time, extremely attached to my little guy. It really hurts to be lied to. I unfortunately will not be returning to this facility.

Weve been coming here and to their Greenwood location for years and have had no problems at all. The reason Im giving a 3 star review instead of a 5 star review is because of their price points. I noticed on my most recent invoice that they raised the price of a toe nail clipping to almost $14 since last year. They also raised the price of Trifexis. I understand that they want to make money but animals have 10 toe nails and a toe nail clipping anywhere else costs way less. A toe nail clipping probably shouldnt cost more than $10 plus tax... $14 is excessive. As for raising the price on Trifexis...Well, thats an older product and Id be surprised if the manufacturer raised the price enough for vets to justify its price increase to consumers. With that being said, the vets are great and they keep our dogs happy and healthy. Update: since this review was written, 3 months ago, they have raised the price of a nail trim to $14.50. Thats ridiculous! Losing another star for outrageous prices!

Our family decided to fight the battle against our beagles cancer. Dr. Smith and the entire staff of Franklin Animal Clinic joined us on the cancer rollercoaster- highs and the lows, good days and bad. They spent countless hours off the clock researching for any experimental treatments that seems to show positive results and also acted as our liaison with Purdue for his highly specialized treatment. Holly, who is a vet tech at Franklin Animal Clinic, even drove to another city to pick up the plasma our beagle needed (all after work on her unpaid personal time). Through this, Franklin Animal Clinic has become like family to us. They treated our beagle with love, kindness and always made him feel special and for that we are eternally grateful. There are not enough words to express our appreciation for everyones hard work.

tl;dr: Very knowledgeable veterinarians with unparalleled customer service. Several months ago, I brought my dog Roxy in for surgery to remove bladder stones. The surgery seemed like a pretty big operation from my point of view and they did a great job. Recently, Roxy had another issue that we were worried about and decided to take her in. During her appointment, there was a slight miscommunication. I had filled out a follow-up survey and received a call the same day from Kaylee (or maybe Kayla). She had worked everything out and got back to me about the issue with a solution. I have never had that level of customer service and it really makes you feel like they genuinely care about you. Couple that with a great and knowledgeable staff and you have a wonderful veterinarian clinic. 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely love this place! From the people that answer the phones, to the techs, to Dr Mills himself - they are all top notch, super helpful and NEVER make you feel like they dont have time to listen to what youre saying (or that youre stupid for asking a question (or a hundred)! Have been to enough vets in my life to know we will never look for another. Theyve taken care of all our animals for the past 7 years through sickness, routine checks, and surgery. Cannot say enough great things about this place. They are always at or below their quoted prices and have never let us down with the level of care and compassion they have shown. Thank you for everything in treating our furry family!

Awesome Vet clinic! We take our 2 house cats and 2 feral cats that adopted us to this vet. It is impossible to find a vet that will take care of a feral cat because they are feral and have had no shots. Dr Kaija did an amputation on an old beat up tom cat in January, and the care he got was superb, the price was reasonable as well. Last month we had to take the female feral in after she was attacked by raccoons under our deck, to have an abscess drained, we live 5 minutes away I called to let them know we were bringing her in and we were taken back almost immediately. Once again the care was awesome and price was reasonable.

This veterinary clinic is by far the best I have been to. They are very kind, compassionate and caring. We have been taking our pets here for almost a year and every time we enter the building it is clean, smells nice, were greeted with professionalism, my pets arent afraid of going to the vet and all around it is a wonderful place and positive experience for both my pets and me. Any pet we have current and future will be going here. Very satisfied with the care my furbabies receive!
