So Ive debated writing this review as I was not an actual customers of Animal Medical Center, but I think their actions in my dire situation speak volumes of the poor character and disconcerting attitude held by their employees. Im currently a few days away from deploying to the middle east and my family, who lives on the south side, is watching my dog. In an unfortunate incident, my dog was able to escape from my parents backyard and went missing. A stranger was able to retrieve him and brought him to the Animal Medical Center to try to identify the dogs owner. My family was investigating the use of a different training collar that did not have his id tags transferred yet, on a day that just happened to be the worst of all days, the day he got out. So the stranger brings my dog to this clinic to what I assumed he hoped he could do, drop the responsibility of my dog onto them, obviously not the type of service a veterinarian clinic provides, I completely understand that. In caring for my dog, I had him microchiped in case of a worst situation and thank God I did. So as the stranger brings my dog to the clinic, theyre able to identify him and give me a call. Heres were Animal Medical Center showed its true collars. I receive the call from the clinic explaining they have my dog and I immediately call my family to go retrieve him. I call the clinic back, give them my families numbers, and ensure them that my family is indeed on their way. What ultimately transpires is a pointing match between the stranger and the clinic, who are both refusing to wait for my family to make it to the clinic because: Animal Medical Center: "Well, we closed at six so youre going to have too work this out with the guy who found him, were not going to allow him to stay here while your family heads this way" The stranger : "Look, Ive gotta go, Im not going to sit here and wait for your family to come get him" At this point I am BEGGING one of them to show some humanity. Ive never felt so powerless in my life, literally watching two people selfishly refuse to offer a few damn minutes of their precious time to make sure the dog of a Soldier, preparing to deploy, is safely returned to its caretakers, who are confirmed to be heading their way. What the hell is wrong with some people, if the person I spoke with on the phone is reading this you should be ASHAMED of yourself. Youre clearly in a profession that you have no right to be in.

Weve been using these folks for about a year and they seem to take pretty good care of the pets left in their care, but I will not be returning to this business in the future because they have pulled a "bait and switch" with their pricing for the second time in a row. Twice now my wife has brought our dog in for grooming and other services and was provided a price, only to receive a phone call later in the day--after they had completed the requested services--saying that the price would be substantially higher than the original quote. Both times my wife was told she must have misunderstood the quote, but this time she REPEATED the price back before agreeing on a deal. It made no difference; they insisted she must have misunderstood the quote. My advice: if you let these people treat your pet, write the quoted price on a piece of paper and make them sign it. Otherwise you might find your pet being held for ransom.

They did TWO tests for a UTI on my cat. Both came back negative and I was told the only remaining option was to pay their vet an exorbitant fee to come to my house and essentially feng shui my litterboxes to prevent him from going outside the box. Went to Irvington Pet Clinic and they immediately detected the UTI, pointing out that when they just ran it through the machine it caught nothing, but as soon as they spun the sample down it was clear that he had a pretty major UTI. Irvington Pet Clinic also offered several other courses of action without trying to take advantage of my desperation to help my cat.

I called to get general information about bringing my dog there and I was very impressed I talked to Cheryl and she was so kind and sweet and answered all my questions and because of her personality I would definitely feel comfortable bringing my dog there and going around about getting information on the different vets talking to a lot of people you dont get A welcoming reception as I did with her she definitely is an asset to their company thank you Sandy Bedwell

Brought two of my dogs in since I am from out of town. The vet was very nice and helpful. Although it did take a little more time, everyone seemed very nice and it was pleasant to joke and I felt comfortable they really helped my dogs.
