I first came here about a year and a half ago to get a couple checkups on my dogs, and was very happy with both helpfulness of everyone there, as well as the very reasonable price structure. Even small things, like splitting pills for you (I think most do this now, but I have been places that dont) are how I have seen business done here. Fast forward a few months, and one of my dogs is diagnosed with canine neurodegenerative disease, which required a fairly unusual prescription. Not only did they special order it for me, they decided to keep the item on hand just for me so its always there when I need a refill. I found this out after my 2nd or 3rd refill wondering how they got it so quickly, and someone told me one of the doctors recognized my unique order and put it on a renewal schedule for me. There was never any guarantee I would come back to get it, and I was still a fairly new customer at the time, yet they still risked eating the inventory cost if I went elsewhere to make sure it was available for me. Bottom line, if you are a new customer, you will be treated very well. If you show even the slightest hint of customer loyalty, you will be treated astoundingly well.

Just had the most horrible experience this morning. My older Boxer seemed to be in distress and I took her here for care as I have taken all of my pets here in the past for routine exams and vaccines. This morning, the vet on duty said my dog was in "agonizing pain" and was threatening to euthanize her and call animal control because we didnt get care. umm... Why did we come here in the first place??? She said the dog was "breathing from her stomach" then proceeds to lift the dog inappropriately, potentially causing her more pain, and THROWS her on the exam table. Bedside manner = FAIL. Professionalism = FAIL. They didnt provide any options for treatment or care and were just going to put my dog to sleep while in the meantime, mistreating her in her condition. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!! I will be asking for the medical records for all my pets in the near future and changing vets. I will not have my pets, whom I love dearly and would do anything for, nor myself treated like this when I come to seek care and treatment for them. (published on behalf of D. Doss and B. Jones)

SEE EDIT BELOW. Reasonable prices by far, variety of services, professional & empathetic staff. Accepts Care Credit but with fee to offset their cost. Recommend most highly. AUGUST 2017 EDIT: As of my last interaction with this company, they no longer take Care Credit, offered no alternative, not sure if the sliding scale idea is in effect. This visit marked a real change in tone for this establishment. The character and behavior of the staff was altered in a really negative way. Normally this would be associated with a change in management or a buy out by a place like Wolfram & Hart. Until I can confirm that this change was either a fluke or permanent I no longer recommend. Disability access is a real problem with the front door unusable from a wheelchair & access by the back door is unacceptable in any modern business. Will ask if they intend to fix.

So today I took my dog and my new puppy to your pet clinic. They were very nice and took care of both my pets. They were even nice enough to clean up after my dog after she had used the bathroom in one of the rooms. The only reason why I am giving them 4 stars is because as I was checking I noticed that one of the ladys at the front desk made a face because of my frantic puppy. That changed my whole experience. The worst part was that she was the one checking me out and had to of known I would have seen. I then became uncomfortable and just wanted to get out of there. (Keep in mind this whole time I had my other dog trying to jerk me around) She could have at least tried to make me feel more comfortable by accepting that I had a new puppy that just got shots and another dog who had never been to the vet! 4 stars!

My dog has been going here for the past three years. Doctor smith is excellent in her care of my dog. However, my dog was injured and needed a couple stitches and for the wound to be cleaned (for my dog lovers not sure what happened, my dog came in from the back yard with it) and I was told by a staff member they have no time for him. I then proceeded to say that it was ridiculous that they couldnt get me in until two days later. At that point I was told "ok bye bye" and she hung up the phone on me. So no professional and I am feeling very betrayed. I trusted this vet with my dogs care and paid good money too and this is how I am treated. Not ok.

I liked the staff. They were informative on the phone, cordial and very sympathetic. My pup fractured her foot in five places and being a smaller clinic there wasnt much they can do for her but referred me to places that could and told me of possible options for her. We waited a long while but I didnt mind. They were the most affordable given it was an emergency situation. The pain medication they gave us is working wonders to make my baby comfortable before we can get her in to a larger facility. The only reason I rated this good as opposed to excellent? It is a smaller place and they arent ideal for surgical or orthopedic procedures.

I went to a different vet for a while when the cat I adopted kept having digestive problems- that particular vet wanted to do exploratory surgery before she would ever even consider another course of treatment, so i went to Emerson Pet Clinic for a second opinion. Not only did they make suggestions the other vet never even thought of, they ultimately fixed my kittys problem which turned out to be a rotten tooth. Very kind and caring vets and staff- I wouldnt go anywhere else even though I now live much closer to another clinic- I highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

I was just charged the most that was quoted on phone for exam, reason it took longer than 15mins, because of them not me, and the doctor was not even with us 15mins. They also have a sign posted that they are going to charge an additional 7%, if using a Care Credit card. I dont think that they should receive any bonuses when they are paid. I know that they do not treat staff well, but thought that they could at least care for animals. Used this place for cost & care, but NOT ANYMORE!!! If Im going to be charged higher, it would be nice to see some quality.

Horrible experience with these people. The vet screamed at us for not knowing certain things about the care of our pet. Apparently it has not occurred to this woman that not all of us have gone to vet school, and that is what she is being paid for, to share her knowledge. Since she was so willing to treat our not knowing as some sort of malicious deliberate ignorance and lack of caring for our cat, we wont go back, and will continue to look for a vet who wishes to be partners in the continued health of our pets.
