I am one of those people who freak out when I think of going to the dentist. I had not been in 20 years. I actually made a consultation to go to a sedation dentist and they were horrible to me from the receptionist to the actual dentist! I finally got up my nerve to try it again. I made an appt at Western Kentucky Dental not knowing anything about the dentist or anyone that worked there. When the day of my appointment arrived, I can honestly say I was a nervous wreck! I went in to Western Ky Dental and was greeted by the sweetest person I have ever met! Now I know that her name is Liz and let me tell you, she is very educated on all aspects of dental insurance!! Next, I got to meet Meghan, who was the Dental assistant! She was also so sweet, I told her my situation and she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed and I wasnt even embarrassed that it had been so long since I had dental work done. She explained everything that she was going to do and made sure I was not in any pain. Finally, I got to meet Dr. Pitcock, and let me tell you, he is definitely the nicest man that I have ever met! During the exam, he asked me multiple times if I was ok and he explained everything that he was going to do before he did it! They both would ask me if I had any questions about what they were doing or if I was in any pain. They truly made my Dental experience very pleasant! My very first visit there, I did not get to meet the Hygienist because she actually went into labor while I was there. But since then, I have been back twice for cleanings and she is also a very sweet and gentle young lady! She also explained everything she was doing and continued to ask if I was ok or had any questions! I am almost 45 years old and have had very bad experiences at the Dentist, but that is not the situation at Western Kentucky Dental! They are the nicest, most caring staff that I have ever met! I actually told my daughters about them and my 17 year old said that she wanted her next appointment with them also and she absolutely loved them too! My oldest daughter is in college and doesnt get to come home often and her dentist was always calling and cancelling her appointments so it was hard for her to get a check up, so I called Liz at Western KY Dental and told her when she would be in town and she was able to fit her in! After she went, she loved them too! Anybody that would say anything negative about this Dental staff is either having a bad day or just dont like anyone because they are great there and treat you fantastic!! So a 5 star rating doesnt even say how I feel, I think they need a 10 star!!! I met them all 9 months ago and I feel like they are family!

My expierence at Western Kentucky Dental with Dr. Pitcock and his amazing staff set the standard for how a dental facility should be. Upon arriving I was greeting by a friendly face and a warm greeting. When I was brought back to the exam room my procedure was done very professionally and expediently but with the upmost care and empathy. Before the procedure I was extremely nervous about my extraction, I expressed my concern to Dr. Pitcock and he immediately quailed my concern and anxiousness by letting me know that if at any point it became to much he would give me time. The doctor is truly fantastic at what he does and I did not expierience any discomfort during the procedure, and was told to contact the office if I needed anything while healing from the extraction. I would recommend Dr. Pitcock and his staff to any person looking for peaceful relaxing and professional dental experience.

These people are wonderful! They have patience, they care, they didnt make me feel bad or embarrassed about anything. I have seen many different dentists and have had anxiety about dental visits since I was young but they made me comfortable and worked with me through two extractions today. I am very grateful. The dentist was more worried about flirting with his staff then doing his job. After my exam, i asked him if i had any cavities. He said no. When i got home later that night and was flossing i noticed that i did have a visible cavity. Went to another dentist and they gave me a filling.
