Havent ever written a negative review before this--I will *never* come back to this office. Went to Dr. Khouri for help with a cosmetic issue and requesting a skin cancer exam. Was given a quick look at moles on my face, told she would give me a proper exam next time, and sent home. My follow-up appointment comes, she hurriedly addresses the cosmetic issue and is already rushing out the door before I can request a skin cancer exam again. She claims she never told me this the first time, and started acting extremely upset and rude. She agreed to give me another overly quick exam, and ended up finding numerous suspect moles and one that needed to be taken off immediately. It was removed, then she snapped at me to be more vigilant about my skin, as though I hadnt been trying to get an exam from her for two months and she hadnt just refused to give me a complete exam. Gave me no aftercare instructions whatsoever--I had to flag down a nurse to ask what to do. Seems to care more about cosmetic issues than life-threatening conditions. On another day I had also made an appointment to get a facial. I waited just shy of an hour after my appointment time because the office messed up scheduling. Not a big deal, but it piled on after that. Towels I was asked to lay on were filthy. When I asked the facialist to please not use latex gloves, she started working on my face with her bare hands. When she did find non-latex gloves (claiming most people dont use these or have them on hand--not at all true) she touched doorknobs, purses that had been on the floor, desks, etc with the gloves on and only rinsed them with water afterward, refusing to put on new ones to work on my face. At the end of the treatment, without asking me, saying anything about it, or taking any measurements, she started plucking my eyebrows. This left them crooked and uneven, raggedy with random hairs sticking out, and completely destroyed the arch. I noticed afterward that she hadnt even removed all my makeup when she did this!! Poked at an eyebrow once in shock afterward to see whether shed really left makeup on during the entire treatment, and got a lecture on how I should never touch my face despite the complete lack of basic hygiene Id experienced there. Incompetent, unhygienic and rude. Have never had such a bad experience with dermatology. Am still in shock and will never be back. Look elsewhere for skin-related health concerns

MOST CARELESS DOCTOR I HAVE EVER SEEN I have been a very happy patient of Dr. Gutierrez at this practice since I was a teenager (I am now 30). She has always been very attentive of my needs and taken great care with my body and skin. However, I recently learned she is a family doctor so I decided to see the in-house dermatologist to have a plantar wart removed. I COMPLETELY REGRET CHANGING TO DR. KHOURI. She was in a rush to finish with me and did not take the time to answer my questions. She cut and froze 2 small plantar warts and one medium one, and didnt explain ANYTHING regarding the recovery. Immediately after the procedure my entire foot swelled and within 2 hours I could not put my foot on the ground. The medium wart area turned black, has been constantly bleeding and is completely protruding out of my skin. I was NOT made aware that any of this would occur. I find it completely inconsiderate that the doctor did not explain the possible side affects from the cryotherapy especially considering it is a holiday weekend. My cousin who is a doctor has had to send me crutches. Had I known I wouldnt be able to wear shoes or put my foot on the ground I would have waited to do this procedure at another time. MORE IMPORTANTLY, I expressed my deep concern over a skin issue Ive been dealing with for years. I told the doctor what a negative affect it has had on my life and my struggle to find a good doctor who will try to cure it. She simply shrugged her shoulders, gave a very vague explanation of why theres nothing she could do at the moment, and said, "theres too much happening at once, lets focus on the wart". I will NEVER again go back to Dr. Khouri. My mother was equally shocked with her lack of compassion and attention. UPDATE: the abovementioned occurred 3 months ago. My foot has not healed and since the procedure I am dealing with constant pain and discomfort including an inability to walk on anything but a smooth surface.

I completely believe in her diagnosis...she has A VERY GOOD EYE ...and doesnt recommend any unnecessary procedure...as far as her bedside manner..you either hate her or love her...and as far as her office staff...they leave a lot to be desired and they need more supervision...I as a matter of practice and because I have lived so long...lm eighty..dont take for granted they read their charts or files on their patients and repeat all the red flags they need to know about me...so much for giving them all this information in the first place...

wasted a morning waiting for an appointment for 2 hours. Office staff blamed it on the hurricane but most likely someone didnt set up my appointment. Office staff dont have a clue.

Made an appointment to see a dermatologist and was attended by a family practice doc. I wanted to re-schedule to see the correct doc, but was charged for a visit anyway!
