I havent been to a dentist for about 15 years before I found Dr. Shvartsman. When eventually I ran into serious dental issues, I was horrified at the thought of having to visit a dentist even for a check up. Just imagining myself in a dental chair made my blood pressure would go up quite literally. It was a combination of things: a fear of pain, a fear of my teeth being drilled and damaged, a fear of unprofessional treatment or diagnosis. Eventually when I couldnt postpone my dental visit any longer, I spent about a month researching the best dentist in the NYC area. While I got several candidates, Dr. Shvartsmans office won me over by his latest star-trek technology, his orientation on high-anxiety patients, and his super-comprehensive website with detailed articles about various treatments, possible problems with them, and how they do things differently to overcome these problems. My first visit was a thorough check up, where Dr. Shvartsman sat down with me at the computer and showed me my dental x-rays and my issues. For the most part I already knew what my issues were and Dr. Shvartsman basically confirmed what I knew. He also explained what needed to be done in each case and in what order of priority. In the end of my visit I felt empowered and hopeful rather than intimidated or embarrassed. My next visit was for extraction of the root of the tooth with a huge infection around it. I dreaded this procedure and was prepared for a massive pain and suffering, if not during the procedure, then surely afterwards. Before the procedure Dr. Shvartsman took the time to answer all my questions, then he explained everything that was going to take place. They gave me the laughing gas which made me feel more relaxed and they also explained that I could regulate the amount of gas I am taking in by breathing either through my nose or through my mouth. He administered needless injection and the whole procedure did not hurt AT ALL from start to finish. I DID NOT FEEL A THING. He was able to extract both tooth roots very quickly and without cutting the gum. During procedure he kept telling me what was going on and what he was going to do next, and whenever I made any sounds or signs, he would stop and ask me what was happening. I never felt like a helpless victim as I expected to feel, but rather I felt that Dr. Shvartsman was my friend and was helping me to overcome what I needed to overcome. When the pain killer wore off, I felt some pain in the gum but nothing much and NO bleeding or swelling. There is an article on his website explaining that they are using an advanced method for extracting teeth that works with bio-mechanics of the body and allows them to lift the tooth out of the bone rather than pulling it out with a brute force or cutting the gum. I read the article prior to my visit, but I couldnt believe how beautifully it worked out in practice. Today is the next day after the extraction and I am feeling great. I still have a feeling in my gum but its very light and its getting less and less by the hour. I feel happy and empowered. I think that if I got through this kind of procedure with so little suffering or discomfort (mostly mental and BEFORE the procedure), then I have no reason to be afraid of anything else in Dr. Shvartsmans office. And my blood pressure is no longer going up at the thought of sitting in a dental chair :) Another thing I appreciate about him is that he is staying on top of all the latest technology and progressive treatments. As long as I HAVE TO get any dental procedures done, I will go out of my way to get the most advanced ones, and I am happy to know a dentist who is committed to the very best that modern dentistry has to offer. I am going to recommend him and his clinic to all my friends and acquaintances.

Dr. Schvartsman is a miracle worker, whose dedication to his profession is simply unmatched. He east, sleeps, and breathes teeth! Ive been going to the office for the last ten years. I am 45, keep all my teeth (even though ten years ago in a different office Ive been told that a couple of my terrible teeth are beyond salvation). For teeth cleaning (every three month) I see Tammy there. The office makes it a point to make everything as painless as possible, and, indeed, in those ten years Ive never experienced any pain during any of the procedures. This is very much due to the experience of Dr. Schvartsman and his personnel. This is also due to the fact that Dr. Schvartsman keeps up with the technological advancements in dentistry, and employs needle-free injections, 3D X-ray, laser cavity checkers, laser drills and the like. Come visit the office at least once even if you have no dental problem, itd be like going to a Museum of Advance Dentistry! :)) The staff is very accommodating, friendly, and dedicated. The office itself is top notch, efficient, clean and stylish, and it seems to be due to another talent of Dr. Schvartsman, his talent of a businessman and organizer. My parents and my wife go to the same office, and they love it just as much. I always recommend it to all my friends, and now I am delighted to recommend it to you as well!

Anyone who needs dental work done - needs to check out Dr. Shvartsman. I have been going to his office for a few years now - and have never looked back ! You know you have a winner when it feels good keeping a dental appointment. Everything that revolves around this dentist is positive and top shelf - your eyes will pop open the second you walk through the doors. You will wonder if your at the right place. I have been to a number of offices in my day, and you can rest assure that you will not be disappointed with this one. From the living room atmosphere to smiles from everyone who works there to the owner himself "the good doctor" as I call him. I have never seen a dentist who is so involved and truly loves what he does. Having said that - you know that he gives excellent care and wants nothing but an enjoyable and rewarding experience at his office. He is so into the art of dentistry that he has all the latest in technology - I beg anyone to find an office that is better equipped than this one with a leader that is truly a REAL and TERRIFIC individual.

Dr Alex Shvartsman is wonderful. He is the most gentle, friendly and highly skilled dentist you could ever hope for. I used to have real anxiety about pain when I went to my old dentist. I no longer fear going because I know there will be no pain or discomfort no matter what procedure I need done. My teeth look so pretty now! Everything at his office is about making his patients comfortable. Tammy is an amazing hygenist who leaves my teeth and gums spotless! In fact, everyone on his staff there does a flawless job of making our trips there comfortable. I travel from CT to have my teeth cared for because there is no better dentist. You need to experience the care there to appreciate what you have been missing! (He was voted BEST DENTIST on Long Island!)

Finally, the bona fide true dental practitioning that you have been looking for. Dr. Shvartsman, Dr. Marsheh and their staff are the real deal. Imagine an actual dentist / endo, impassioned for the art and science of it and genuine healing as opposed to the industrial high-throughput dental machine operations that have exacerbated your dental problems all your life. Dr. Shvartsman aggressively embraces advanced, integrative biological technology to actually fix things rather than generate a repeat customer by conventional planned obsolescent treatments. While its unfortunate that I had to travel 3000 miles to have a root canal redone properly, it is what it is and Im grateful for it. Cheers and thank you to all involved.
