I very highly recommend Dr. Andrew Neville for anyone suspecting Adrenal Dysfunction or dealing with unidentified health issues. He is extremely knowledgeable in the field, stays on top of all new/recent research... and his own personal struggle with Adrenal Exhaustion gives him very "real" insight into the medical issues involved in this often misdiagnosed and misunderstood condition, as well as the frustration, hopelessness, fear and confusion each patient may uniquely experience. Dr. Nevilles deep empathy and compassion is incredibly strong medicine itself, and the Clymer staff are all very caring, understanding and supportive. I discovered Clymer through a friend about 2 yrs ago. Within days of being diagnosed with Lyme Disease my body completely crashed. The infectious Disease Dr. suspected more than Lyme was involved, so I saw Dr. Neville and learned I had extreme adrenal fatigue. A lifetime of stress dealing with deep emotional and mental health issues had left me completely spent - the Lyme finally put me over the edge. I was like the proverbial frog in the pot of increasingly hot water and by the time I realized how sick I was, I was nearly "cooked"! I had gotten my blood tested many times over the years, knowing I wasnt "right" physically, but all reports showed normal/better than normal results. (Comprehensive saliva testing is needed to properly diagnose adrenal dysfunction!) I majorly avoid doctors when at all possible so I chose to believe the medical reports, figuring it was just mental/emotional fatigue. Having learned to be "tough", a "survivor" highly skilled in denial and dissociation, a fierce "fighter" and ridiculously stubborn, for years I pushed through various stages of exhaustion - minimizing, disrespecting and adapting to countless physical issues and warning signs. I would deal with what I absolutely had to, buck up, struggle through and move on. By the time I got to Dr. Neville I couldnt even sit up in bed without getting horribly sick. Moving me from the bed to the port-a-potty less than 2 feet away was a traumatic, tearful experience. Among many other issues I hadnt slept even remotely well in many years, had nonstop super-high anxiety like an inner motor that had no "off" button, my brain was fried, my digestive system was shot - trying to eat was an absolute nightmare, and it felt like all my life forces had been sucked away and I was dying. Looking back from my current perspective, I honestly believe I was. Dr. Neville gently helped me understand what was happening, why it was happening, and how to turn it around. Its been a very slow recovery, and its not over. I still grapple with the fact that you cant "fight" your way out - you "rest" your way out! We live in a Go! Go! stressed out culture and I believe many, MANY people unknowingly have some degree of adrenal dysfunction! If you find yourself emotionally, mentally and/or physically exhausted for any reason, I STRONGLY urge you to get some adrenal support before you hit the later stages that are way more difficult to recover from. Dont kid yourself like I did - its a very real and serious condition. Dr. Neville and the Clymer staff truly care and are here to help - please contact them, you wont be sorry!

The first time I met Dr. Neville via Skype I finally felt heard for the first time. Id been to dozens of doctors and naturopaths already, some very good but none of them truly understood the full picture of Adrenal Dysfunction/CFS. Clymer Healing Center and Dr. Neville are specialists in this field. There isnt much you can throw at them with this illness that they havent seen before. Theres nothing more frustrating and heartbreaking than having a doctor tell you that theres nothing they can do for you. You know you feel horrible but nobody seems to understand why. At Clymer, you will get practical direction and education about the root cause of this illness. I had a total physical collapse after a bout of some extreme stress in my life. Id been hanging on by a thread anyway but hadnt slowed down enough to allow my body to heal and then ..... boom! There are no words to describe how broken my body was at that time. I couldnt get out of bed, couldnt bathe myself, couldnt tolerate scents, couldnt tolerate sound or touch or heat and couldnt even read without beginning to lose consciousness. I was experiencing a constant state of adrenaline while being as weak as a kitten. I felt nauseated all the time while needing to eat every hour due to low blood sugar but had such severe food sensitivities that finding what was edible became a nightmare. Add to that my inability to sleep, heart fluctuations and palpitations and painful body shocks (YES.... my body was sending out volts of something that felt like a cattle prod shocking me every so often) and you have one very sick person. Through this horrendous experience, Dr. Neville was there holding my hand from 3000 miles away. He worked through my mother (because I couldnt talk on the phone or use the computer) and gave us both direction and reassurance. I felt like I was dying but he was able to shed some light on what was happening in my body so that I could just let go and give it the time it needed to heal. And it has healed! Im a year out from that day and well.... Im writing this. I couldnt even get near a computer a year ago. I have more healing to do but Im so grateful that I have someone I trust to help me though it. I cant tell you enough how wonderful the entire staff at Clymer Healing has been to me. Jennifer, Kim and Dr. Neville are all so incredibly kind and understanding. They all go the extra mile to make sure that your healing in on track. The level of understanding and just plain care is unparalleled. They do care and you feel it and it makes ALL the difference. This illness manifests unlike any other and a lot of strange things come up. You can ask Doc any weird question you can think of and hes wonderful about it. He always gives a thorough answer and never makes you feel crazy. I trust Dr. Neville more than any other doctor Ive worked with. He knows this illness and he knows how to help a person through it. I am beyond grateful that I found this Clinic and Dr. Neville. I dont know what I would have done if I hadnt had them by my side through this illness.

Working with Dr. Neville has been life changing. He is extremely knowledgeable , but not a know-it-all. He does not get distracted chasing down symptoms, but rather approaches healing from an adrenal standpoint. He has an amazing understanding of the many systems in the body and how they all work together, and has an uncanny ability to communicate, explain, and break down all of this information so that it makes perfect sense. He is a great problem solver, and does not get phased by a new “puzzle”. His own personal journey with adrenal dysfunction gives him a unique perspective and window into what his patients are experiencing. He “gets it”. His gentle demeanor and kind caring spirit make his office a safe and stable oasis where I can be myself and not be judged. His empathy, compassion and willingness to listen - really listen - are something I have not encountered elsewhere. He has to ability to easily recognize where I am emotionally. He knows when to listen, and when to “call my bluff”. I’m sure he has heard every excuse in the book yet he never seems to tire of hearing them time and time again. During my appointments I feel as though I am his single most important patient, and he really, really wants to help me along the path to healing. He always praises the small steps - encourages them actually. He says if you can put enough of them together you may find a touch of momentum. And hope - there is always hope. It can be hard to see a lot of the time, especially when you are peering out from behind the trees trying to glimpse the forest. Dr. Neville always has the right words to validate all the right things, and at the same time offer up solutions to keep on the healing path. This in itself lifts off a layer of stress - being reassured there *is* a way to get through all of this. He offers sage advice. Words of encouragement. He is patient, understanding, human, compassionate, and direct. And he has a great sense of humor. His practice and approach to Adrenal Dysfunction just makes so much sense. The level of care, kindness, empathy and validation he and his staff show is truly amazing. I am happy to say that I have reclaimed my life. I am still climbing upwards - it is a long, slow climb. And there are still peaks and valleys along the way. There will always be - and that’s okay. I am willing and able to take this road now because I have the tools to muddle my way through it all, and if I really get myself in a muck, I know Dr. Neville and Clymer will have a door open for me. Their support and encouragement and outstanding care are what help me take each step closer to the light at the end of this tunnel.
