I receive treatment for my mental health disorders from Family Service Association of Absecon. The first time I called was to ask about how one could receive treatment at their clinic. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I set myself up with an appointment to be evaluated. The first appointment with them was an intake evaluation. I met with a therapist; she asked me a lot of questions about my mental health history, family history, and medical history. She also did a short evaluation (maybe 20 questions?) in which I had to rate the statements as true, maybe, or false (for me personally) on a scale of 1-5. In total I was there for an hour. A few days after the intake evaluation, my new therapist called me to set up our first therapy appointment. (I scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist after my first therapy appointment.) The whole process was quick and simple. I have tried several other mental health clinics in the area but was unsuccessful in receiving proper treatment. Not only am I receiving appropriate treatment now, but I can personally see improvement of my mental health disorders. The staff is truly caring and understanding of people like myself. I have even had two of my therapist quit Family Service Association, but both times the clinic has quickly and efficiently dealt with the situation. This clinic has proven itself as amazing time and after time. I would recommend this place to everyone who is struggling with mental health disorders.
