Luna, my much loved 9 year old, 90+ lb., Lab mix woke up one morning when she was only 6 years old with a mild limp. I immediately made an appointment with the vet who was treating her at that time. He examined her and said that he didnt see anything and he suspected a mild sprain. By that evening, she could no longer get up. When I was finally able to lift her up, she was unable to walk. What followed was a several months long search for answers as to what was wrong with her and what we could do to help her. She was put through innumerable tests and procedures and heavily dosed with steroids and other medications. None of the tests indicated what was wrong with her and the medications were allowing her to move, but just barely and with awful, horrible side effects. I was basically told to give up on her and that "some dogs just dont respond". It was from there that my search for help led me to Dr. Frishman and Progressive Animal Hospital. Dr. Frishmans approach was completely different from what we had been doing. He began a regimen of acupuncture and holistic treatment with the aim of getting Luna completely off steroids. After running blood work which showed that Lunas liver enzymes were off the charts from the medication she had been on, we were very anxious to find something that would allow her body to heal. I was a little concerned about how Luna would react to acupuncture and was shocked to see her go into what I can only describe as a super relaxed, almost trance like state for the duration of the session. Initially, we had weekly treatments but we are now on an approximately four week maintenance schedule. While Luna will never be completely pain free all of the time, she is comfortable most of the time. Her coat which had dulled from her sickness and the medications, is shining again as are her eyes. With Dr. Frishman and his wonderful staffs help we have worked together to find the best methods to keep her comfortable combining both Eastern and Western medicine. We were searching for a new veterinarian as our vet for many years had retired. I left a message at Progressive indicating the same and they returned my call within a reasonable time. The receptionist is very personable and connected with us and our our dog immediately. The techician and the Dr. explained what our pet needed now and did not presurre us to spend $1000 on other treatments or tests that day. The staff is knowledable and personable. They are now our vet of record and we look forward to our nex visit.

I brought my 9 yr. old German Shepherd, Cleo, to Dr. Frishman when I saw his ad about treating allergies. Cleo has suffered with them for most of her life. Under Dr. Frishmans care, she has improved tremendously after just 5 months. He chose a course of action that was not previously tried and has given Cleo and her parents relief. We are so grateful to the doctor and his staff, especially Ethan and Dina, for their kindness and caring. We want to shout this (and bark it) to the world! Thank you.

I was wary at first, because the office looks like its set up in an older house (which it is), but on the inside it is a fully functioning office. I took my pup there and they treated him like he had been a part of their family from day one. They gave me sound advice on what to get him tested for and what kind of medications/preventive care suits him. They also taught me a few things specific to my pups eating habits and body structure. I feel like I can trust them.

Progressive animal hospital is the place to take your pet. The doctor & Techs are beyond kind!! From the front desk to the procedure room you are with kind & knowledgable people. I find them as good to me as they are to my Puff. For me its like going back in time where the doctors were in it for the love of medicine. I wish there was a ten star rating!

We travel about 30 minutes to bring our pets to this office because the entire staff is wonderful! We trust them completely and are so grateful to have a Vet who cares about our pets as much as we do! The staff is always willing to answer any questions we have.
