While the office looks gorgeous and is located in a nice part of N. Scottsdale, its not worth it to go here. For starters, there doesnt seem to be a doctor in sight. This mysterious Dr. Simon whose name is given to the office is always out of the office, you will always be attended by a nurse practitioner. I went for an IUD placement and it was bad enough I didnt have an MD inserting the IUD, I wouldnt recommend this place for pregnant women who need to have continuous check ups. If you are paying for a physician (or your insurance) than it better be someone with an M.D. after their name who attending me. However, my main problem is not even the lack of a physician presence but their ridiculous policy of not being able to pick up the phone from 12p-1:30pm. Can they not have 1 person take lunch, while another sits put and tends to the phone? Have they considered that people who work often take lunch at this very same time, and thus this is the only time they can call the office? So basically I cant call during work because I am working, then during my lunch break they are unavailable to answer phones, and I wouldnt be able to call again until AFTER the office closes at 4pm, because like most people I get off work at 5pm. It is an absolutely ridiculous policy on their part, and dont even bother with the "answering service" who does not genuinely want to handle your message, but actually try to dissuade you that an emergency to you is actually an emergency. I write this review not only to vent my frustrations, but also as a warning to pregnant women seeking an OB/GYN. This is not the doctor for you! As per my experience when dealing with a simple IUD insertion, I can tell you the doctor would not be available to every patient when the time for delivery came, which is after all the whole point of an OB/GYN.

1. Doctor was cold and business-like, hurried and rushed her words and actions throughout the entire encounter. Her pretense at caring was so forced that it made me feel uneasy. When she smiled it was almost like she was baring her teeth instead of really smiling. Same with the front office staff - no warmth, no welcoming feel, just icy efficiency and indifference to anything else. Ive never had a more surreal experience at a medical office. It was like being in The Stepford Wives movie. 2. VERY SUSPICIOUS business practices at this place. I never received an EOB or super-bill with the date of service, the procedure, and doctors name on it. Yet for the past year Ive been getting calls late in the evening (8:30, 9:30!) from people with very thick foreign accents who insist I owe Dr. Armity almost $500 for a yearly well-check that is 100% covered by my insurance. I called my insurance company and they told me they dont even have a date of service for the amount the callers are saying I owe. Very very strange. I just got another call today and the girl spoke better English but she still would not give me the date of service in question. When I told her my concerns about giving my personal information over the phone and that Id be calling my insurance company again she hung up on me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I had an unbelievably horrible experience at Dr. Armity’s office. I believe this office is more of a business than being a medical practice. Their main focus is money and any possible way to maximize their profit. They do not care about their patients and their problems. The ultrasound machine was not clean and I saw a piece of hair on the ultrasound’s probe. The result of my pap smear and ultrasound was never posted on my account on the website or mailed to me, after multiple tries and calling the offices, I was just told that it was O.K. without anything else. I am not even sure if pap smear was done right or the results were lost or something. Nothing is in place in this office. The doctor was also very rude and spent 30 seconds with me. I would not recommend this practice to anyone please stay away and go somewhere else.

I dont get the bad reviews. I had both babies with Armity via c section and she did an EXCEPTIONAL job. Yes, shes confident and not like an overly pleasing "fake" person, but I appreciate that. She is a doctor, not my best friend. I admire her confidence. Why is it "bitchy" in women but respectable in men. I just confirmed my third pregnancy a few days ago with a home test and will schedule a visit when the time comes to do so. Also, Ana...her NP is the only person I see pretty much my entire pregnancy. I just saw Ana again recently for my third confirmation and she is still amazing as ever. The office staff is always nice and I am kind of shocked at these reviews as that has never been my experience.

I followed one of her PAs from another practice because she is SO wonderful. I needed some "repair work" and Dr. Simon & her office handled all of the pre-surgical testing & paperwork efficiently. She seems to genuinely care about her patients. I have gotten frustrated waiting in her office, but that has always been my experience with any gyn who also delivers babies who arrive without first consulting the office schedule. I did feel like I was getting over charged for every stop in the office for pre-surgical consults.

I have been a patient of Dr. Simon for over 20 years. I see her NP Ana regularly who is awesome, but have seen Dr. Simon for major procedures. She is always professional and is very experienced. When it comes to matters of this kind I want the Dr. that knows her stuff to be in my corner. I did have a negative experience with a NP maybe 10 years ago and I actually told Dr. Simon and she saw to it that I was not to be seen by that NP again. I would highly recommend Dr. Simon and her staff.

If you appreciate bedside manner, honesty, not being swindled out of your money, and being comfortable with the doctor who is going to exam you lady parts, then dont go to Dr. Amity Simons office. Never before have I experienced such uselessness from a medical practice, especially Wendy and Laraine. Save your time and money and find a gyno who actually cares about its patients. Trust these reviews!

Doctor was sued by my sister for having a stillbirth due to medical negligence by Dr. Simon. Her daughter was born dead and Dr. Simon wasnt even available that day to deliver. Babies heart beat hadnt been checked at the appointment a week prior. Very angry with the outcome of this doctors care. If you want a baby DONT go to that practice.

I have been going here for a while, customer service is amazing. Its out of my way but I dont mind because I feel comfortable coming here. One thing that is frustrating is that I seem to have to schedule visits for everything, instead of being able to get it done on the same day. But I understand why this happens.

I have been a patient of Dr Simon for over 15 years. Dr Simon is one of the best doctor I have ever dealt with. From the front desk to her and her medical team, they are very caring and kind. I feel very comfortable coming to this office. Her staff goes upbove and beyond to make sure the patient is happy!!!!!!
