Im going to start this off by stating outright that I never intended to use an OB for my pregnancy. I wanted, and eventually found, a good midwife for a homebirth. So if youre going the OB route for your entire pregnancy, you can take my words with a grain of salt. Dr. Clinch is very friendly, very caring, and will hug you at the end of your appointments; like it or not. He does seem to rush you through your appointment, which I didnt care for, but he does it in a no-nonsense cheerful sort of way. For an OB overall he wasnt too bad. The only thing about him that I found disturbing was in my medical records. I requested them when I transferred care to my midwife and upon reading them I saw there was a list of things like where to wear a seatbelt while pregnant, nutrition, labor information, etc. Each item had a date next to it indicating when they had discussed it with me. The problem lies in the fact that they never spoke to me about any of it! As a first time mother, they really should have informed me of such things, or at least taken the time to ask if I was aware. The scariest part is that they recorded they had done so. What if I werent the type of person to look for answers on my own? What if I relied solely on his office to inform me?? I would have been wholly unprepared for labor, let alone late pregnancy. All in all, though, if youre looking for routine obstetric care, Clinch will do. His office staff is thorough. There was a glitch with insurance, but it was handled well. They could stand to be a little friendlier, but Ive found this is typical of most healthcare institutions. To conclude, if youre looking for routine, hands off care with a friendly doctor then Clinch is your man! Just be sure you ask any questions you have, because the information will not be volunteered. Three stars because it wasnt the level or type of care I was looking for, but it wasnt the worst Ive ever had.

I went to Dr. Clinch because my regular OB doesnt deliver babies anymore and I found out I was prego. I went to him because of all the great reviews- but I knew the moment i sat down with him, it was the wrong decision. He was extremely fast with all the information, no paperwork on what to eat/not to eat, ect. I guess we were supposed to understand everything all at once. Also, he told me- I dont mess around, if you have questions, ask me. I will tell you like it is. When he did the procedure- it hurt soo bad. He was extremely rough. My husband said that he used the largest clamp possible. I asked him why it hurt so much and he said because you were tense- well i dont enjoy any kind of visit of this kind... even with my reg. OB- IM ALWAYS TENSE! Next is, he said my insurance didnt cover ultrasounds until 19 weeks, so he wouldnt do one.. only a sonagram. I called my insurance, and they cover it all. Also, i have been extremely naseuas- their solution is ginger ale- wouldnt prescribe me anything and could barely hold down water. When I left there, i was in pain the rest of the day and my gut was telling me not to go back to him... I spoke with my sister in law- she works for an OB and told me to stay away from him. I am not sure if its because he didnt like me or if he was having a bad day, but in all... it was a horrible experience and I am now switching doctors right away.

I delivered my 1st child in 1995.I was a young mom and very nervous Dr. Clinch was was very understanding,and helped me with my fears and concerns.My 2nd child was born in 1996 and again Dr.Clinch was so understanding he always made me feel comfortable and always ended my visit with a pat on the back and a hand shake with my husband .My husband and I planned one more child born in 2000 and again Dr.Clinch was a great doctor ,my pregnancy was more managable do to him and his staff.When my husband and I were face to face with yet another pregnancy we went in to see Dr.Clinch and were confronted with an ultra sound showing twins I almost fainted but yet again Dr.Clinch was there to deliver the news with such a manner that you wouldnt expect from a doctor.He delivered both of the twins and ended our hospital stay with a hug to my husband and myself also ," Good job mom you did it".I recomend Dr.Clinch to any one pregnant or planning a baby .You will get alot more than just a doctor with Charles Clinch. I went to numerous of doctors during my pregnancy as I moved around 3 different times. Dr. Clinch was my first, and by far the best. I owe it to him that I made it through my pregnancy alive and with a healthy baby, as I had suffered from Hyperemesis gravidarum. He was very caring, helpful and professional as he nursed me back to health while in his care. Though I was extremely sick my entire pregnancy with the grace of God he kept me from dying the first 4 months And I am forever thankful! I strongly recommend him for anyone, but especially those who are suffering from a complicated pregnancy.

I was referred to Dr. Clinch by a neighbor 26 years ago in which he delivered my 3 child. Then 2 years after he delivered my last child. Since then he has delivered 3 of my grandchildren. I refer him to any and every woman I know with one stipulation, if you DO NOT LIKE WARM CARING HUGS.. then he is not the doctor for you. Always gentle and explains things to you with out all of the medical terminology that can only be understood by another doctor. God willing, I pray he (and myself) are around to deliver my great grand children.

My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage on 06/12/10. Dr Clinch was there through it all. He helped to save my life as I was bleeding to death from the miscarriage. He was there to explain everything that was happening and give me a giant hug before the surgery and again when it was all over. He was comforting and supportive. He made me feel safe and at ease (as much as possible) This was the most traumatic experience of my life and I thank God I had Dr Clinch to go through it with me.

Dr Clinch is absolutely amazing.. I had the best experience with him for my appt yesterday. Hes very comforting and take personal interest in his patients. Ive never been to a Dr where I feel better personally after as well as physically. Hes amazing, truly meant for his occupation.. I will NEVER switch Gynecologist lol..

Dr. Clinch was my mothers delivering doctor for both my brother and I. He is also my obgyn doctor and has delivered my four babies. He is absolutely the best doctor and always made sure I understood everything and was taken care of. I would highly recommend him.
