MEDICAL MACHINERY PROVIDER...???? I have been using a cpap for many years, I got my first machine from them and another one more recently. My biggest complaint with them is that they take at least a day to call you back. They always offer to bring the machine to your house and set it up but I prefer to go get it, Im sure they get extra off the insurance company if they deliver it so not surprised they get a little miffed when I say I will come get it. My first cpap had a product recall for a fire hazard with the plug...they never called me. I happened to spot an article about it in a year old magazine at a different doctors office and matched up the serial numbers and called the manufacturer who confirmed that my machine was one that was recalled. I call bay care and while they were apologetic they didnt seem to think it was bad that they missed my machine ("well I dont think its bad that we missed only one")...I told them they would think it was very bad if they were receiving process service from my lawyer after my house burned down because they never called me. That is about the worse experience Ive had with them, they will promptly ship supplies when you contact them but like I said sometimes it takes a day or two to reach someone to order supplies!!! They are apparently one of the only games in town in Pinellas County. Avmed briefly used another provider but went back to them, I suppose most likely lowest bidder sort of thing. Now my new machine is broken and they tell me its out of warranty so I get to pay for repairs, so now I fight with Avmed. I guess I cant really blame them for this one they dont make stuff like they did ten years ago when I got my first machine, bells and whistles dont necessarily mean a product isnt junk but medical stuff is usually made a lot better than this thing for sure.

I have read several of the poor reviews that Baycare Homecare has received and I think some people just complain no matter what. I have been using this company for 10 months now and have absolutely been blessed to have them. The nurses that come to my house (Lois, Robyn, Cassel and more) have provide the home care that my wife needs. The pharmacists ( Melanie, Wayne, Mike and more) have always provided the needed Medical supplies even in the middle of the night. Melanie is my favorite. Everybodys got a favorite. Im just brave enough to say it. Even the drivers have been helpful. Bringing everything in and then training me as well. Anyway if you disagree with me come over to my house and I will beat you with a baseball bat. Baycare Homecare will take good care of you when you get out of the hospital.

My husband has diabetic ulcers and just got a pacemaker. He was set up for Baycare for home health, and they came out today and refused to help him because they need to teach me how to tend to his wounds, and when he told them i work 60 hours a week they said we cannot help you and medicare does not work like that, i called her (RobIn) supervisor Cheryl and she agreed saying Medicare changed their policies. Well I called Medicare and spoke with Mrs. Copper and she said it was not true, and she was so sorry how we were treated, Thats what they are there for is to take care of wounds. I am appalled they would treat him like that days after getting a pace maker. Please find another home health as they do not seem to care about their patients.

Their customer service is the worst. Id rather deal with Bright House!!! So glad I dont depend on them for life support. Called several times yesterday. Message said they would call back in 32 minutes......Thankfully I did not hold my breath. Two hours later, another 32 minutes. Called back so many times. Could not get a straight answer from anyone. Everyone they transferred me to it was voice mail and hold forever. But dont be late on your bill....straight into collections. Bunch of BS with all their marketing. Im considering changing physicians that are associated with Bay Care. Would rather drive to Tampa General.

Poor customer service, very slow to schedule appointments and they are unapologetic for delays. I was promised that my appointment would be expedited due to a delay between the physician and their office; no such previsions were made. I was told "sometimes our faxes dont like each other" for why my prescription was delayed, twice. I have been pushed out past my guarantee of a 4wks turn around to get my device. Now I have to wait an additional 2wks to pick up my machine even though everything else is in order.

Requested info on a wheelchair for my 92 yr old father, was told that our insurance would cover it all so no cost to us. Not so, insurance covered 80% and we were billed the balance. Called them & was told "Oh your insurance carrier must have changed their coverage, you should call them" . It smells of a sales scam to get equipment into your home. After a few months and a few phone calls the wheelchair was picked up and the charges waived. Be careful, get it in writing.

Had an appointment to pick up a c-pap machine at 6pm. I show up and the building is locked. I call them and the person who answered sent me away saying they would only do it between 8 and 5. Mind you I did not request 6 at night, I was asked if that would work for me and I said sure...very disappointed that I wasted my time, gas, etc just to be sent away. This is my first interactions with them and so far not impressed.

Baycare Home Health and Respiratory Services do not really seem to care about customer service. They take days to return a call to order supplies. They do not follow up. They dont actually complete the order, and they dont follow up after several calls to get them to actually fill an order. I am looking for a replacement organization.

If you need home care go with someone else. Crappy customer service, if the doctor orders something you better call them and make sure they get it because it always gets lost. HATE this service also, you better have excellent insurance because they charge over the top for everything!!!!!!

Initially had an issue of not having calls returned. Presented a special request (as a result of not being called back in a timely fashion) that was handled professionally by Shannon. Restored my faith in the company
