I am sharing my incredibly positive experience with Dr. Thomas Maurno at Sunset Chiropractic in the hope that others can benefit from it. Many years ago, medical doctors diagnosed me with serious spine degeneration issues and Fibromyalgia. Over the years I had experienced severe spinal nerve pain and chronic muscle aches. After seeing 5 different chiropractors over a number of years, I began seeing Dr. Maurno. I found his approach to Chiropractic to be very different than any of my previous chiropractors. Not only is his approach different, but his office and staff were a pleasant difference. Sunset Chiropractic is not a factory office where you check in, receive your routine heat & electrical stimulation treatment and then see the doctor for a 2 or 3 minute routine adjustment. Dr. Maurno schedules his patients reasonably so there is rarely a wait and the most I ever waited for him was 5 minutes. Every visit he wants to hear exactly what is going on and how you are feeling and decides what your needs are for that visit. His approach & his techniques are extremely gentle. He is easy to talk with and a great listener. I find him to be extremely knowledgable, kind, caring and personable. He is wise enough and grounded enough to not take chances he shouldnt take. When he was not able to give me relief at one point, he sent me for an MRI and as a result of that, referred me to a specialist medical doctor. Several years ago, after getting opinions from 3 Orthopedic surgeons specializing in spine surgeries, who concurred that my only solution was major spine surgery, Dr. Maurno worked with me and over a months time, I became pain free and have remained pain free. Another great experience I had with Dr. Maurno was him convincing me to alter my diet rather than take pain pills for my Fibromyalgia. Years later, with the right diet I no longer have muscle pain. With continued chiropractic maintenance every month and stretching exercises, years later, I have no spinal nerve pain. This man is my miracle man -- he has changed my life! I promise you, you cannot go wrong visiting Dr. Maurno and you have nothing to loose. In addition he has an awesome accu-pressure massage therapist in his office that has done wonders for me as well. I highly recommend Sunset Chiropractic for all of your aches and pains before resorting to pain meds and serious surgeries !

I have been a patient for many years now. I had previously been to three other chiropractors in the area over the years, one I loved who moved away, and two others that I was never really happy with. They all have different techniques. Tom is gentle, a little kooky in his ways at times, but very effective. I highly recommend him.
