They were recommended. I made an appointment and they said 6 months. Thats a long time. So I told him I would like to get established with the doctor, not an NP. He said ok. They called me shortly before to confirm our appts with the NP. I said NO! I made them with the Dr. They said no, too bad. I cancelled them and called the office to talk to the manager. I told her that was not right at all. She was very nice and set up an appt for me with the doc, and my son stayed with the NP. He was worried about acne and I figured that was pretty routine. I was not happy at all with her treatment of my son though. She wanted to give him finacea, which is typically for Rosacea, and its super expensive. I asked her if they had samples, and they said no they do not ever have samples. She also said she uses it. Hmmm, cant help but wonder. It didnt work for him, so they wanted to give him something else very expensive, no samples. I ended up going somewhere else. And they have samples. Saw the doctor and she was okay. I felt like she was very rushed. Just didnt work for us at all.

I Love Shelley Franklin. Have been seeing her for years as does my husband, son, his wife and her Mom. Dr. Franklin takes her time with you giving you her full attention, very thorough and answers all your questions treating you as if youre the only person in the office. Never had to wait long. Office staff extremely friendly. I have been to other Franklin Dermatologists that were hurried, impersonal,didnt know you from Jack when you came back to them. Shelley Franklin is a warm and caring, down to earth physician who knows her stuff remembers you. I truly appreciate that.

Office staff was incompetent, giving me the wrong appointment time and disregarded my 45 min wait saying that my appointment wasnt for another 30 minutes but wait could be an hour. When I asked why she didnt notify me of that when I checked in for earlier appointment time, she responded that she made a mistake but I couldnt see the doctor until later appointments (who had not arrived) were seen. No apology or attempt to mitigate her error was made. Extremely unprofessional. Will find different doctor as this was my first impression of her practice.

Saw this doctor 3 years ago, when calling to make an appointment was told she would not take new patients she hadnt seen in the past 3 years. She had seen me in past three years but I had to explain to the person on the phone that I was within the three years. Then told I could not get an appointment for 4-5 months because she only works 2 days a week. This is what needs to be reformed! Doctors make so much bank they are impossible to get in to see.

The one star reviews surprise me. Im pretty hard on service providers and this is one of the most efficient, friendly and capable places Ive been too. As a result, I also use the services at the Skin Spa. I love the fact that they dont push product nor service but personally address what issues YOU want to address and your budget considerations. On the dermatology side, weve taken our daughter there for years and have always been please.
