Unlike many who come here for cosmetic enhancement, I was referred to this office by my physician after I had an adverse reaction to some insect bites. The nurse practitioner and her staff were comforting and professional, they prescribed steroid and antibiotic medications which have since proven effective in speeding up the healing process. I also had a general examination and had several birthmarks and moles biopsied as a routine matter of the examination. The offices are clean, spacious and comforting. The biopsies were performed swiftly and with a minimum level of discomfort. I was sent home with a set of well-written printed instructions which show the practice has a long history of experience. All in all, a positive medical experience. The closest thing to a complaint I can offer is that the offices are rather huge and labyrinthine; and an inordinate amount of room is dedicated to the cosmetic elective procedures. But then one must understand that these elective procedures are without a doubt where this practice makes the lions share of its income, so at least its understandable. I cannot offer any endorsement as regards the elective cosmetic procedures, but if theyre performed at the same professional level as the routine medical ones, Gold Skin Care Center should be a trustworthy and comfortable experience.

Today was my first visit to Gold Skin Care. I met with Susan, Dr. Golds assistant. The entire staff, from the clerks to the nurses, were very friendly and helpful. Each of the medical professionals I received care from were patient, answered all of my many many questions, and provided me with honest, comprehensive answers. I even offered them the opportunity to have me as a cosmetic patient, but Susan gave me her honest medical opinion and told me that for my specific needs I would get better results by finding a good cosmetic surgeon. This impressed me, as almost every other plastic surgeon, medical spa, or dermatologist Ive been to would have jumped on the opportunity to make a few quick thousands. This alone puts GSC on a completely different level than other cosmetic professionals Ive been to. They also offer a vast array of cutting edge procedures using state of the art equipment. I appreciate the honesty, hospitality, and personalized quality care that I received. I had a lot of questions about unrelated procedures and Susan answered ALL of them. So far, I would recommend Gold Skin Care to anyone. This review might sound like an ad, but this is real. Ive been raving to my friends about this all day. Today is August 27th and it was a beautiful day in Nashville.

I went to see Dr. Gold for acne treatment 4 weeks before my wedding. I wanted to get cleared up before the big day. He spent maybe 2 minutes in the room with me, looked up at me once, spouted off the regimen he was giving me and left. He never once asked my concerns or what I thought about the treatment recommended or if I had any questions. I had never been to a dermatologist so was surprise by such an impersonal approach. He prescribed me oral antibiotics, Evoclin foam, and a new facial cleanser. I am opposed to taking antibiotics, but he wouldnt give me the time to voice this concern. He also prescribed me the Evoclin which costs $300! So that prescription didnt get filled, and thank God! because heres the kicker. After using the foam for a week, I broke out in a rash. I took a look at the ingredients and the main one is a medication I listed on my allergy sheet! So they knowingly gave me a medication that I had a allergy to! Being 2.5 weeks before my wedding, I was furious. So considering the rushed and nonchalant experience I had, where they dont even take a look at the allergy list or ask about any patient concerns, I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone.

I went into Gold Skin Care Center recently to try and get rid of a skin rash on my arms and legs. I just got out of the Armed Forces and was not covered yet by my new employers health insurance. I was told I would be able to pay half price due to my situation, I would not have gotten treatment there had that not been the case. I was seen by a Nurse Practitioner and Dr. Gold who told me I had eczema in a matter of 2 mins. I was given a steroid shot and prescribed a topical cream known as Vanos to put on the eczema. When I checked out, I paid one hundred and fifty dollars and was not told about a bill for the labs. I went to pickup the prescription at Walgreens and learned that it was over a thousand dollars, for ointment basically, I would rather have eczema for the rest of my life than pay that much. Is there an agenda for prescribing someone a cream that is so expensive, or am I just ignorant? Also, I just got a bill for the labs that the NP said, "did not really need to be done" for 161 dollars, I understand that labs cost money, but it was never mentioned by anyone in that office. I will never go there again for anything.

My husband had been waiting for his appointment with Doctor Gold for months now to look at his acne. He had an appointment first thing in the morning, hoping to get in quickly. After filling out paperwork describing his condition, no one even acknowledged it. He saw Doctor Gold for a total of 3 MINUTES in which he didnt even take the time to grasp his personal condition or bother relaying what my husband told him to the next member of "the team" that came in the room. They suggested lasers and medications and washes without paying mind to what would help his individual condition. Hes seen doctors before and the generic recommendations they give everyone is not why we specifically schedule to see a DERMATOLOGIST. Two hours wasted, money wasted, and extremely disappointed in this experience. I dont know what sort of operation theyre running here, but if you want answers or personalized service-- this is NOT the place.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Dont go, dont go. Not only did I wait for almost 2 hours at EVERY appointment I had, but Dr. Gold is the most insensitive Dr. I have ever met. Knowing that I am prone to keloid scars he still took off 14 moles from my back, of which (big shock) NONE are cancerous. Skin cancer doesnt even run in my family. I thought I was going in for a consult and before I knew it, he had convinced me I had cancer and just kept cutting. I have heard others refer to him now as the butcher, and boy do I believe it. I cant wear tank tops anymore because my back looks like I was burned with cigarettes all over. Absolutely horrible. I even think all of these reviews are fake. Nothing about his staff is friendly. I wish I would NEVER have gone. If you do go, dont go by yourself. Have someone with you who can help you sort out all the crazy information they feed you. He is all about the money!

I have gone to Dr. Gold as Dermatologist for YEARS asking again and again and again about food allergies being related to my psoriasis, with NO interest on the medical team part to discuss this - ONLY to again and again try to get me to enroll in their drug studies (for which pharma pays them) - and allowing me to get steroid injections or pills again and again and again. ***GUESS what - Im on Meditteranean THe New Adkins For a New You and being wheat free for 2 weeks has cleared up all my psoriasis - a friend with celiac symptoms says this is a classic sign of gluten intolerance - WHICH MEANS A DERMATOLOGIST SHOULD KNOW THIS - BUT DID THEY EVER ONCE IN ALL THESE YEARS RESPOND TO MY QUESTIONING AGAIN AND AGAIN - "COULD THIS BE FOOD ALLERGY???" NO. "First do no harm, they preferred to have me back again and again for revenue enhancement - a violation of the Hipporcratic Oath.
