I would give six stars, if theyd let me! See bottom of this review for 1 year update! Dr. Kumar is phenomenal. Please read my story, and youll understand better why I feel that I can say that hes changing my life and the way I care for myself and my teeth. First, I have to say that I have a lifelong dental phobia stemming from a traumatic visit as a child. That dentist and his staff were judgmental and condescending and helped create a great deal of shame and fear for me around dental care. Once I was out of college, I stopped going. This phobia was so strong that I went without dental care for 15 years, before I had to go because of an abscessed tooth. The next two times I went back over another 9 year period were for similarly serious and expensive things. My tooth cracked last Friday night. I was so scared I had to have my husband look for and pick a dentist for me, call, explain the situation, and make an appointment. I went in last Tuesday for an evaluation, and, while the news wasnt what I wanted to hear, I was treated with so much kindness and respect that I felt more at ease than I ever have with a dentist, even before my childhood traumatic experience. My case called for a vigorous and immediate course of action, so I went back the next day for a deep cleaning. We were going to break this three hour appointment into two, but there was a cancellation and I chose to go in and have it all done. Vicki is phenomenal. She is gentle and funny and very good at educating patients and understanding your needs. I am now a periodontal patient, and actually look forward to seeing her. I was supposed to have a root canal on the bad tooth, but it was too seriously damaged, so Dr. Kumar advised an extraction and immediate placement of the post for an implant. It was frightening and unexpected news, but Dr. Kumar is so kind and compassionate and cares deeply about the long term health of his patients that it made the decision easy. Diana was my rock through the entire difficult extraction. Dr. Kumar stopped when I needed to take breaks, spoke reassuringly to me and made me as comfortable as possible. I know my story is not unique. What is unique, however, is the way that Dr. Kumar and his staff care about people as People, with feelings, and not just as dental patients. Bottom line: If you want a wonderful, brilliant, exceptionally skilled dentist with an amazing staff, do yourself and your teeth a favor, and go to Wickham Dental Care. This goes double for anyone with the kind of fears I had. 6/26/17 UPDATE - Its been a year, and I have to say that Dr. Kumar and Vicki and the amazing office staff (who I want to recognize by name, but memory fails me at the moment) have gone above and beyond to create a safe space in which I have been able to move past my dental phobia. I still get a little anxious the day before and on the drive there, but it melts away the moment I walk through the doors. The improvements in my dental health are remarkable. Vicki continues to help educate me on the best way to care for my teeth and gums. There is never any judgment or shaming. I take some pens every time Im there, so I can hand them out whenever I get the opportunity. I direct people to this review because I really believe that there is a way to the other side of dental phobia through openness and communication with the wonderful people at Wickham Dental Care. Also, they have added the option to have appointment reminders via text, which I think is fantastic! I have nothing but confidence that any future review from me will be just as glowing! - Abby

I found this place based on their 4.9 review after having a horrible experience at bright now! for over 2 years. This place truly lived up to their 4.9 review. This literally is about the best dentist I have ever been to. They have really advanced tools and their staff actually knows what they are doing. Let me explain how bad my experience was at my last dentist. Bright now! had tried to convince me that I had gingervitus and that a normal 6 month cleaning wouldnt cover it. Bright now! would charge me for a deep cleaning every 3 months and use a billing code so that my metlife plus insurance would not cover it and I would be forced to pay out of pocket. Bright Now! is running such a scam for the insured and uninsured. So I went to bright now! last week after being there 3 months ago and once again they claimed I have gingervitus and it would not be covered by my insurance and that they would have to reschedule me for a later time after waiting there 2 hours for what I thought was going to be a normal cleaning covered by my insurance. So I told them I am tired of their games and asked for my records and I stormed out. So I looked for a new dentist on google and I found wickham dental care with 4.9 review. I call them up and surprisingly they can get me a consolitation in less than a week later. So I went to the consolitation today and it was totally night and day compared to bright now! The staff at the front was very friendly and they didnt make me wait over and hour to take me in the back. Not only were they very professional but they also used tools I had never seen before that were very advanced. They told me my teeth looked great and were better than most of the teeth they normally and that I must take really good care of my teeth. Instantly, I knew at that point it confirmed my suspicions that I was been scammed for over 2 year at bright now! I was so happy I went to wickham dental care. They also were able to see me right after the consolitation without having to force me to reschedule me a month later which is something that bright now! would always try to do. Plus Wickham dental care set my next appointment should be 6 months not every 3 months. I cannot stress how great and honest this place is.

Great customer service,beautiful office, and well mannered staff...however I was 15 min early and didnt get seen until 20 min late, I also didnt feel like my main question was answered despite paying for xrays and a 1st exam..I was offered no receipt despite requesting one before we began,I wasnt told how much they would charge my insurance despite calling the day before with all my insurance information. Major holes in the team like Iris at the front desk being outstanding and the other lady majorly lacking in personality by comparison, along with missed attention to details really make the experience start to unravel. I personally hated the experience because it wasnt organized. The dr.Kumar was 20 min late and we got mixed up with another doctors chart.....dr.Edwardo walked in an had no idea who he was actually seeing today...thats bad..especially when teeth are all about attention to details..I wanted to like them because 90% of the staff was so great...however, in the end the inconsistency and inability to remember basic requests feel like a waste of time..I drove 40min out of my town to see these guys, and even told them when I arrived..you would think if someone tells you they are looking for a family dentist you would show your best hand..either way that didnt happen. My appointment was at 4:00pm so while I cant speak for this office in the morning...I can honestly say its not the ritz Carlton picture other reviews try to paint. I wasnt impressed and think if these issues are fixed there is a chance for this place to keep up with overly ambitious reviews. However as for now it just doesnt.
