Dr. Barnard is great. But my problem is the incompetent staff including the office manager. The first time I called, she seemed nice enough. But after a couple months, we are having the same problems as before. I just got off the phone with her a d this time she seemed like she had a bit of an attitude - just like the rest of the office staff and the ditzy medical assistant. Because of the incompetence of the office, my father-in-law is out of one of this his medications despite the pharmacy sending the refill request several times. They dont seem to give a damn about their patients. And being a former FFEMT, that is a MAJOR transgression. To be fair, we are also having problems with Royse City Pharmacy. Each one blames the other. But little do both they realize is that I am the guy that if you are upfront with me and offer no excuses, I will work through it with you. But neither of them are. They are each blaming the other. So because I do not know where the underlying problem is, we are dropping both. To me its like when two lite children each blame the other - they are both in trouble and get punished equally. We will find another doctor for my father-in-law. Weve already got a different pharmacy. So as soon as we find another Doc for him, we will be giving these clowns our figurative middle fingers. And by the way, I will be reporting this ongoing issue to the proper authorities. If Doctor Barnard had his own practice, we would continue bringing my father-in-law to him. But the whole office staff can go get bent.

My son has been using the Royse City PCA since he was born. I have never had any real issues. (sometimes the receptionists can be rude though) When my infant struggled with his breathing, the doctor scheduled my visits weekly (and I always was able to see the doctor during these visits) just to check his breathing to ensure that it was getting better. They were able to diagnose his RSV before it became life-threatening. Being a first time Mom, Mr. Barnard is extremely helpful and informative and my son sits calmly through-out each visit with his doctor. Never does he get upset or scared, he is very comfortable here. I have never spent a long amount of time in the waiting room unless they had to squeeze me in short notice for an emergency visit, and even then most of my visits Im in and out within an hour.

I called to to see if they available appointments available for today. I was asked if I was an existing patient. I told them yes and then, " please hold." I was on hold for 15 minutes. She came back on and said , "whats your name? I told her my name. Then, "whats your DOB?" I told her. Then, "please hold." Im done. Very poor customer service. I dont know if the office staff has a lot of stress, but when I was there on all my other appointments the office staff seemed to be happy and cutting up. I may have interrupted something this time. I called for a "yes" or "no" answer. If I got an answer to my question then my attitude may have changed.

Called to see if I could get some vaccinations for my 2 kids. We have been to the office before. Was on hold for 25 min. Hung up and called back. Receptionist was rude told me we r looking to see if we have vaccinations. Was put on hold for 15min. Called back and right away they said plz hold. Was on hold for another 15 min. Called again was put on hold for 20.. I finally gave up.. on hold for more than an hour and got nothing accomplished. Found new office for my kids. Doctor Barnard is great! Staff is horrible! Hope that get that situated.

New to town and have been trying to find a good doctor. Called PCA this morning and was put on hold for 10 minutes, ended up hanging up to try later. Called again and was asked to hold, then she disconnected me. I called back and said "I think you accidentally hung up on me or we somehow got disconnected"...no apology at all, she just said again, how can I help you" in a pretty rude voice. I said, "never mind", and hung up. I cannot fathom going to a doctor who has a front office staff that does not make you feel welcome!

Weve been seeing Dr.Barnard for a couple of years now since he started at the practice. He is an amazing doctor who takes the time to listen to his patients. Dr. Mark Falkenstine was recently added to the practice, and weve seen him at his other location for several years. Im so glad hes now at PCA Royse City. He is a phenomenal PA who is amazing with his patients, as well. We highly recommend their services!

One of the worst receptionist experience I have ever gone thru... One of the receptionist is so terrible doing her job that honestly, I dont know why she doesnt find something she likes doing... Because being there is clearly not it! She is really rude! Doctor Barnard is alright! Hope that you get him in a good mood so that hell do his job decently... This office is also unorganized...

Waited 52 minutes past my daughters scheduled appointment time until we were finally called back... and there was only one other person in the waiting room which got called back shorty after we arrived. .. I dont know what happened because weve never waited longer than 20 minutes... great doctors though. Been going there for 6 years since my daughter was born.

I moved to the area recently and needed to find healthcare for my 4 kids. I am very impressed with NP Falkenstein as well as NP Barnard. They communicate well with me and really listenened. I do not care for Dr. Wagners bedside manner or tact in dealing with the patients parent. Ive only seen her once but will try not to schedule with her unless its necessary.

I came into the PCA in Royse City as a sick individual with sinus pressure and congestion. I needed to see a Dr. On Saturday morning and this location refused to see me because I was not an established patient. I might have changed and became an established patient, but not after being refused to even be seen.

They told us to get here 45min early to fill out paperwork that took 10min, then we were called back to the room 20min past our appointment time, sat in the room for another 20min before the physicians assistant even saw us told us the same thing we already new, and charged us $80 and sent us somewhere else.

Horrible communication with patients i would never wish a sixk person to deal with the lying receptionist or the lazy Dr.s had labs ran told we needed a specialist. Wont answer phone calls return calls 2 weeks of worries still no answers wont release medical records without 25.00 fee. AVOID THIS PLACE

Decent enough Doctor enjoy their work and happy with their bedside manner. Low rating because I cant seem to get ahold of them with a medical issue after over 1 hour on hold and being redirected and honestly it was important. in the end wound up in ER because office staff cant work a phone.

Our entire family LOVES Dr. Barnard. He is thorough, caring, knowledgeable, prompt and great with our kids. The office staff are friendly and helpful. And we are always able to get an appointment that fits our schedule and same day if needed.
