I too had an outpatient surgery at North Crescent in December 2013. The staff was excellent and my surgery went extremely well. However, I agree with the prior rater. You have to be extremely deligent to obtain a predetermination and I would recommend that you refuse to pay anything until you have a statement from your medical provider outlining what you will be responsible for. I did not do this and I regret it. North Crescents billing department insisted that I pay much more than what I was ultimately responsible for out of pocket. Its been almost 90 days and I still have not be reimbursed for the overpayment. They have filed the claim twice only at my urging and now want to file an appeal - again only because I raised the issue of repayment again. Honestly, I think that they are purposefully over billing individuals prior to surgery and expect the patient to finally forget that they are owed a reimbursement or to give up. No action is taken unless you inquire and then good luck!

I had surgery here in February 2012, and everything from the doctor (who was my PCP) to the anesthesiologist was top notch! Having said that, The billing for this place is an absolute nightmare. You are required to pre-pay based on their best guess of what the surgery might cost. I received an additional bill the day of the surgery. I significantly overpaid and had to wait 30-days for them to process the payment from my insurance company and was told I would receive the refund 30-45 days after my refund check was approved. In total, it will take 112 days to get back my over payment.

Wait too long . I wait over 30 minutes at patient registration to sign in. They need some body at front office.
