Im always a person to give positive feedback when its earned. I dont usually give negative feedback, unless my experience is beyond just an obvious one off bad day. Most of the staff at the office is great. The doctors are knowledgeable and the gentleman in the eye glass shop is awesome. My experience with the front desk staff in the past few weeks has been terrible. I had an appointment in 2016 that was covered by my medical insurance. When I kept receiving bills in 2016 to pay my bill, I kept calling the office to ask why, since it should be paid by insurance. I guess they were billing an old insurance company. A few months went by, no more bills and so I assume its all taken care of. A year and a half later, I am scheduled to be at my appointment and Im told I cant come in because I have a balance. Im totally confused at this point and annoyed because I dealt with this a year or more ago. The thing is, had I been treated with respect and understanding, this wouldnt be an issue. But, instead I was juggled between multiple different people, all with the worst customer service skills, and was told Im one of 1,000s of customers, we cant get back to everyone. It was noted in my file that they made a mistake and sent my claim to the wrong insurance company. That its my issue and I owe them $800! Anyway, in the end, Karen in billing, who is professional and helpful, said she would look into it, try to get it paid and will call me back, because Im not just one a 1,000 and unimportant. Thanks Karen! Anyway, just be sure if you visit this office you keep track of your bills and follow up, they will not follow up with you. I decided to go to BJs Optical because I need new glasses and I cant go to this office, which is a shame, I liked the doctor. If you are going to run an office like this, you need to hire a professional office staff. Have them put themselves in other peoples shoes and treat every single customer as if they are your only customer. Ive worked in customer service for over 20 years, your customers make you.

I had a short initial visit with Dr. Kaldawy, where he gave me a new diagnosis with no explanation, an ineffectual treatment, and no plans for follow up. He left before I could ask any questions, and after researching on my own, I made a follow up visit to ask questions. In another short visit, I asked a few questions and stated the treatment wasnt working. He said he didnt have time to take care of me, so I should go see another doctor instead. On top of that, his billing department did not take my information down correctly, and despite multiple phone calls, refused to correct their information, and continued to insist I owe them the full amount for the visits (as opposed to my copay). I called my insurance company multiple times to confirm that I had coverage and the required referrals, and the insurance company gave me instructions on what the billing company needed to do. I called the billing company again, but the representative refused to listen to the directions my insurance company gave for correcting the error, wouldnt get a manager to help, and even hung up on me. Great customer service! I was finally able to reach a manager who seems to have corrected the error, though I still have yet to receive a corrected bill.

Doctor Kaldawy is a wonderful physician and a phenomenal surgeon! I would not go anywhere else! I am a retired optician and spent my entire professional life working with eye doctors. This is the center to go to. This is a medical eye care practice and provides the best eye care I have ever witnessed. In all my professional experience, I have never seen better eye exams performed and better surgical results produced. I take my elderly parents to this practice, my husband goes there and so do my kids. We have never seen such compassionate and skilled staff and doctor. We get checked by an optometrist or experienced technician first and then again, by the medical doctor...each time...which is rare these days. This is my eye center for life!

Although we are unable to comment on the details of the review posted by Jennifer Riedell due to HIPAA regulations and the ongoing defamation lawsuit filed against that person, it is important for us to note that the allegations listed in her review are false statements of fact intended to be injurious to the practice and physician and not protected by the right to free speech. The details of this matter will be made public during the discovery process and the evidence will prove that the truth is the exact opposite of this persons unprivileged, unsupported and unfounded fabrications.
