Started going to Genesis when I was about 16. Always had problems at this location and its kind of stupid that this is still up because Genesis is no longer even at this location. The very first problem we had with this location was back when womens health wasnt so great and many health care providers did not cover most forms of birth control. The office informed us that the Depo shot they administered to me was cover under our plan. Later, we found out that this was not the case and we were forced to pay the full $200 for the shot. Unable to afford that every three months I was forced to use the pill contraceptive. In between then and now I took part in the WashU Choice program and got the shot for a year for free. After the study concluded, I was referred to a small medical organization called The Spot. At both offices they treated everyone like family. At least it felt that way to me since I would have to make that visit every three months for the shot. The only problem was the drive. I live in Florissant and The Spot was near WashU. Recently, I remember back when I was about 17, Cartwright diagnosed me with a low grade HPV. I decided it was time to get a pap smear. So, I went back to Genesis. Luckily this time my results came back completely negative for HPV. So, I also made an appointment to start getting my Depo shots with them again. This time around with womens health actually being covered by healthcare plans, the shot was covered. A few days later, I get a letter in the mail from Genesis. I was charged for the visit without anyone mentioning that I would have to even pay it. I paid the bill. A few more days pass and I get ANOTHER bill for a pregnancy test, again was not informed of the charges at the office. Very displeased by these experiences and they will be losing me as a patient because of it.

I have never been to an OBGYN before and to say I was nervous was an understatement. I started crying when they went to check my blood pressure. Dr. Cartwright came in and almost instantly calmed my nerves. She talked me through everything and let me know that I am the boss of my body and if there was something I didnt like or wanted to stop, all I had to do was say the word. She talked with me and put me at ease. It was a great experience and I am so happy to have her as my doctor

They have hidden fees is you do not come to the appointment on time its$30 fee shame ..shame ..i cant believe this we are in a recession and its bad enough you are sick and then if you are stuck in bumper to bumper traffic trying to get to an appointment which was set the next day ridiculous ...were their policy is to give a 48 hr no show notice ...how is that possible its ridiculous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont want to go into detail but I would not recommend this group to anyone. The service is poor, the doctors are rude and incompetent, and my experience was terrifying. Save yourself from being heartbroken when things dont go the "textbook" way. God bless you in your search for a suitable doctor. Trust me, its not here.
