Super clean and nice doctors indeed specially for kids the first dentist he really was comfortable and liked too bad that they mess up with time with me...was supposed to send the request for approval to my insurance only after two weeks to find out "they" did not send it after all and they did promise to do so but call today to find out by not so nice staff member that they are sorry but it will not be ready by the time I need it (knowing that I did let them know I am moving out of the state) and what mess it out more is I can not afford to have it done in other state and less they care that they didnt do their job in first time like she told me: sorry but at this point there is nothing I can do...what do you want me to do now? Ooohhh well now I am...very disappointed not only for this crown situation but because I was so happy with them to be played like this after all! I will not tell you dont go there but just make sure you are on top of them when it comes to situations like this one! Because indeed they are good dentists!! PS: had to chance the star after all my situation just got funny in a way that the so called "manager" Jacquelyne is not only rude she is disgusting liar...after all my insurance approve the crown since the 26th and she did not let me know about it saying that there will be no way I can get approved and get the crown in the time frame of 3 weeks but if I want tl pay out off my pocket it can be done...wow all I could say...they are rude hanging up the phone on my face once I hit the spot asking how come: it took them 2 weeks to send the request to my insurance, why they dont take responsibility for their mistake, worse the "so called manager" couldnt answer me if the issue was my insurance or my last name she literally ignore me and did not give me any further answer but "we do apologize for the error and there is nothing we can do, at this point what do you want us to do? Well all I wanted was to get a crown but apparently they have other plans for me than to help me out what a good customer service!!! Now thank you but now I am the one that reject your services! Nor will my son, my sister family and the friends I referred tou guys! And still now they didnt call me to let me know that after all the insurance did approve it!!! Sorry but not sorry people need to know the ugly side also! You did it me you will do it to other for sure! No need to replay back nor call me after all!!! Today is June 8th and I still waiting for a phone from the office to let me know that my crown was approved on May 26th yes they knew that since May 26th and because of my bad review they are not even caring after all I take back everything I said about this place they are beyond rude be careful on letting people know the bad side about them they will screw you big time lol

**Be Aware** and careful when bringing your child to this office, especially if your child is under 1. The doctor will chart and bill for procedures that werent done. In which is considered to be Insurance Fraud. This was done to my daughter. For the other older comments in regards of the way children get treated in the room and parents arent allowed to be back in the room while getting fillings done or other dental procedures, they are correct as well. Dr. Shakkon was formally Working at Egg Harbor Dental and there are plenty complaints in regards to this matter. Sadly, according to his office manager Christine, hes the owner so they try to throw things under bus and keep their imagine. I can understand she needs a job, but Fraud is Fraud and injustice is injustice. ** I still havent met a parent who would complaint about getting their one year old teeth cleaned. In a matter of 2 months back to back, this is ridiculous and Im sure Dr. Shakon felt guilty about his fraud thats why he offered to clean them. But as I stated the conversation was recorded and he states it could of been his mistake.. Coming from his own mouth not mines. And offered to clean her teeth and then adding that the one year old visit was not important only to meet the parents. Thats really comfortable for a parent to hear. Pretty much it means, I just want to Bill for meeting the parents. Not to mention Im not a first time mom shes my 3rd child. So Im very aware of what actually should be happening at a first time visit. Reviews in here state how the parents werent allowed to go back while procedures were being done and thats correct, as I stated before in regards to his reputation from Egg Harbor Family dental. Parents its your choice, INSURANCE FRAUD IS INSURANCE FRAUD. And thats exactly what this practice has done. And to correct who ever replied to my review, he laid her in his lap and looked at her teeth and that was it. I not once laid her in mines. I can understand is a new practice and in order to succeed you must chart and bill for services not done in order to survive. A consult wouldnt have been enough. **

I hate to give bad review on any business but I have been to so many dental office so I know good care when I see it. My girls appointment was at 3 pm but I was call back to get X-Ray about 3:45 or 3:50. This dentist office obviously overbook their hourly schedule. The oral exam that my younger daughter got from a young dentist was the shortest oral exam I have ever seen( about 1-2 minutes and the female dentist was done)--She was nice but did not spend much time doing the oral exam at all. One hygienist took about 5 or more minutes checking her schedule while my younger daughter is waiting for her cleaning. She barely do a cleaning--mainly use the electronic toothbrush and was done. Of course the fluoride treatment was offer and we took it. Ellen, another hygienist was nice and provided good info but was pushing on selling me the fluoride treatment for my older daughter( she convince me that fluoride treatment is good for older adolescent - fine I paid for it-- She need to tone down the sell pitch a little bit but overall she was okay). She seems to have done a better cleaning on my older daughter then what my younger daughter got. Yes the place is clean and nice has decor but the rush service is poor and I do not like that. I am not sure my girls got a rush service because this was a groupon service but anyways overbook schedule always lead to workers being over worker which result in poor service. Would I recommend this place:NO, NO

Seeing the reviews i knew this would be where my daughter was going ! I want nothing but the best for my daughter. I am a dental assistant so I see a lot that goes on especially in a dentist office . Pediatrics especially working on kids are suppose to be gentle and make the child so comfortable to the point they love the dentist and want to come back P.s and not be scarred for basically the rest of their lives Feating he dentist - knowing it is their first time EVER in a dentist office. My daughter is two and a half years old and she came out of the office saying "doctor hurt me I dont like the doctor , dont take me back she hurt my mouth" comparing this place to my daughters pediatric family doctor they have nothing on the walls or nothing to excite the kids to make them want to come back , dont greet the kids NOTHING ! Mind you my daughter loves her pediatrics family doctor and for her to tell me she didnt like the dentist something was wrong ! ! When my daughter was done we walked out on our own , didnt get a goodie bag or didnt ask if she wanted a toy for being good from the treasure box PLUS SHE HAD A BIG GASH ON HER LIP bleeding . while working on her the doctor said hunny your cutting your lip - when it was her fault because she was so rough from my understanding theres suppose to be an assistant in the room trying to make the kid comfortable and talking with them ! NO I wont be going back! Do not recommend , more like a clinic !
