Both Steve and I have some serious dental issues and are profoundly grateful for Dr. McMaughs superb professional skills. He not only has equipment that his colleagues dont (which means we dont have to travel to other offices for things like sophisticated X-rays), but, the doctor has the cutting edge training to guarantee for us the best possible outcome. He is backed up by an amazingly competent team that creates a caring and competent environment. We are eternally grateful for how hes educated us and kept us in the loop so we understand his considerations and thinking process and appreciate how he has included us in some rather difficult decision making processes. Our only regret is that there might be a day when he decides to retire. We cannot imagine ever finding someone with his level of commitment to excellence and professional skills. Lets just agree not to think about retirement. Additionally, we are proud of the international community service our doctor has rendered when, for example, he joined a group of doctors who volunteered their professional services in Guatemala. I came to Dr. McMaughs office because I was new to the area and he was one of the dentists who took my insurance. I had no idea at the time that going someplace I always dreaded (The Dentist!) would end up saving my life and become I place that I enjoyed going to. Dr. McMaugh found a growth on my palate and wanted to be proactive on getting it looked at. Even though I was very young and a non smoker he did not want to take any chances. It ended up being a malignant tumor and early detection is what saved my life. During my surgery and recovery Dr. McMaugh was more than your average dentist giving me the personal attention that you cannot find in doctors these days. I have had numerous problems as a consequence of my cancer surgery and Dr. McMaugh is always there to make things better and put a smile on my face. He even did an emergency root canal for me on CHRISTMAS EVE!! Who does that?? He has been amazing for me, my husband and my children. I have recommended many patients to him who have gone and found that the words I spoke are the truth. If you are looking for a wonderful dentist, a wonderful professional practice, and the old fashioned patient care & attention that is hard to come by these days you need to go here!

I have an appointment tonight and figured Id add to the pile of glowing reviews I saw when I looked up his Harleysville address to double check as always. I grew up seeing Dr. McMaugh in Abington, PA. Ive gone to no one else for dentistry for well over 25 years (Im 28 now) aside from orthodontics -- at his referral. Youre told what you need to know and things are kept simple. Staff is always pleasant to deal with and flexible. My sister and I have both had some bonding done by Dr. McMaugh on our top front teeth. When I needed the same tooth (I think it was the same one) redone after I misbehaved by eating sunflower seeds, It occurred to me that I didnt have a clue weather it was my other front tooth or the same one. The cosmetic work was totally flawless. You cant go wrong with Dr. McMaugh.

I must say my experience has been such a pleasure. I went to get a second opinion on some proposed dental work. Dr. McMaugh was so down to earth, compassionate and caring. He explained my situation and proposed several options to me. I knew right then he was the dentist for me. Since that time he has made beautiful crowns, replaced fillings, and even made two magnificent implants. I am so happy with the beautiful work he has done. He is truly talented! I was very pleased and impressed with the office staff also. They were equally congenial , caring and excellent at what they do.

My dentist retired and I moved so I decided to try a new dentist closer to me. The new dentist said I needed 4 root canals. This just didnt sound right to me so I came to Dr. McMaugh for a 2nd opinion. He said they were were not needed in any way. Dr. McMaugh became my dentist on the spot. I have been going to him since 2004 - my husband now goes to him as well and my extended family. Dr. McMaugh and the entire staff are very caring, very thorough and most importantly very, very gentle. I make the drive twice a year from Chester County and it it totally worth it!

I used to HATE the dentist and getting my teeth cleaned! That all changed when I had Carol at Dr. McMaughs office clean my teeth for the first time! Carol is gentle, thorough and I havent had a cavity in years. I actually look forward to my twice a year visits now:) Carol is the BEST and its worth the trip from Abington to Harleysville. Dr. McMaugh and his Team are top-notch professionals in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

My entire family goes to Dr McMaughs office and are very happy with the excellent and caring service we received from all staff. I personally was petrified at first as I had not been to a dentist for many years. My past experiences at other practices in Harleysville were extremely negative. My adult children are pleased with the this office, the staff is welcoming, professional and kind ,and we would not go anywhere else.

My former dentist retired. After looking for a new Doctor I saw Dr.McMaugh sign on the front lawn. I believe in promoting your self, so I called for an appointment. I was so pleased with the office staff, being seen at the time I was told I would be seen but most of all how gentle Dr. McMaugh was when working in my mouth.
