While the physician may have been good, the term to describe this practice at Plymouth Meeting as a "factory" may possibly have been an understatement. If you are a diabetic and want an eye exam, expect them to not use your vision insurance and not explain to you that they are not using vision insurance. What we expected was a courtesy check on vision plan and letting us know our expenses prior to the examination, like most vision practices. In addition, my dad was dilated and they did not offer him one of those disposal sunglasses to go outside, even though they claim that its routine practice. He walked outside with blurry vision because he did not have eye protection, had to sit in the car for an hour before he could drive home. Had he wore the disposable sunglasses that were supposedly "offered" the situation might have not been as terrible. When I called to complain the manager did not accept responsibility and said the paperwork to explain all his dilation and copayment were given and he signed. I suppose that takes away the courtesy of a verbal explanation when you have a busy day at the factory. When I relayed his message to her that it was unfair for people to not explain things to him because they perceived him as not being able to speak English well and therefore he could not understand them, she counteracted with the statement that it was unfair for us to not recommend them and give them bad reviews because I myself was not there to witness the situation. I am translating his experience and opinions verbatim. If the practice has cameras and she wanted to be objective, how about pulling from the camera and we can see exactly what happened? I am a healthcare professional myself and I find this unacceptable.

Bottom Line: HIGHLY RECOMMEND I have been a patient with this practice for 13 years. I started care with Dr. Amy Weber when she was a resident at Wills Eye Hospital. At that time I had a severe vision-threatening injury to both eyes. She provided compassionate and professional care through this frightening and painful ordeal. I followed her to her new practice in the the suburbs over a decade ago. For routine care I was transitioned to Dr. Kosvitch, who is an excellent optometrist. I have exclusively used the on-site optical shop for my prescription glasses and sunglasses. I have had no difficulty finding the frames that fit my personal style and the opticians have been able to give me expert advice on the lens choices for my needs. I have sat in the waiting area and marveled at the joy the surgical patients share with each other after cataract surgery. I understand that Drs. Bailey, Weber and Wisner are excellent cataract surgeons as well. All three of them continue to teach surgical residents at Wills Eye. Its clear that this is a very busy office. They appear to also find ways to fit emergency patients in along with their routine patients. Certainly, when someone has a true eye injury and needs to be seen the same day - someone has to wait. Its like an orthopedic office that way (always squeezing in the emergency fracture or dislocation). This isnt your typical family care eye doc - theyre serious, talented and highly sought-after professionals.

My doctor is Robert Bailey and I have nothing but kudos to give to him and his staff at the Wills Eye Center. He is extremely gracious and well versed in his approach to customer care. He is honest and approachable. Opening my eye after the first surgery astounded me and I was eager to see what or how I would react to the second surgery. I am very happy to see all that I have neglected to see before by waiting so long. The journey is far from being over. My sincere thanks to Dr Bailey. TJ Donnelly

Dr. Robert Bailey is my Opthamologist. He is the best and I have no plans to find another eye doctor in spite of the fact that this office obviously overbooks which causes long wait times. It is not a rare occurrence to have to wait 30 or more minutes to be seen as it happens to me every time I go there. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

You should never have to wait an hour an a half for an appointment. This is unacceptable. No excuses! This place should learn how to give better customer service. Wyndmoor office was personal at the new office you are just a number! Horrible experience!

I have not had the opportunity yet to visit this place as I just happened to see this website on my browser but based on the information, Id love to make an appointment, for myself and my son. Are you accepting new patients? Thank you.

The office staff was rude and condescending and the medical care was at best fair and impersonal
