DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE! First off I went in with abdominal pain which I knew I would need an ultrasound done to find what was wrong with me so I called ahead of time to verify that they had a tech there and the lady on the phone said yes we do come by so I did I waited for atleast 45 mins to be seen which is decent for a friday. Before going in I was charged a $132 office visit which before paying I clearly asked the cashier what is the payment covering because I will need an ultrasound done and want to make sure thats covered with this amount because I dont like suprise bills and fees she said yes it will all be covered, but to my suprise once I paid and saw the doctor I come to find out that they dont have an ultrasound technician there and I have to wait until the following Monday to schedule my appointment which I was fine w/ only because the doctor was very nice but he did ask me to call Monday to verify they sent my referral over to the tech to schedule my appt. I called first thing Monday morning which I kept being transferred to Jay (the lady who handles referrals) everytime I was transfered to her I only got a voicemail I was finally frustrated that I called again & said dont transfer me to her make sure shes going to answer me because Im tired of being ignored & that was the only way that she will answer a phone apparently because I finally was able to speak to her around noon when I had been calling since 8 am. & then she hadnt even sent my info over to the tech to set up my appointment. I had to continue calling that office every 30 minutes after that until finally she sent the tech my info. I finally am able to speak with the techs to make my appointment & then again to my suprise the tech says I have to pay another $260 for that. I wasnt expecting this fee which is what I specifically didnt want. My whole experience was just awful from before I even got there to the end I felt like they did nothing but touch my stomach and give me antibiotics something I couldve bought over the counter and saved over $100. Im only putting a star because I cant put none.

Ive read the previous reviews n Im sorry that some people have had bad experiences in prior years but this an "urgent care" not a hospital. Equipment is limited, professional employees are limited. Try going to the UTMB ER where they are fully equipped to handle all problems, all needs. I just recently started going to see Dr Merritt and Ive had no problems there. All the personnel are friendly and attentive. Ive had no problem with wait time once I get there for my appt. When I had no appt I was seen quickly. Try that at a UTMB UC and it takes time. Dr Merritt is awesome. After 50 yrs of dealing with UTMB private clinics and doctors Ive finally found a doctor who listens and talks to me not AT me. She listens to my concerns not hears what I say. She has done new up to date research into diabetis. Ive always felt that there was something out there besides metformin (which I had bad results with. I think I may be allergic to it) and insulin shots and shes come up with a plan for me. She give me samples to try. The samples have saved me almost $100 trying to come up with a good plan. We have worked on it together, planned together and finally after 4 wks of trial n error my glucose is at a great level. She has been an answered prayer.

I do not post reviews, ever. But this place is terrible, and well-deserving of a review for future prospects to read. The only reason this clinic is getting 2 stars is because of the practitioner, Nadia, who I have been visiting for years. I only made the transition to this clinic because it is where she is now practicing. Aside from her, the remainder of the staff is careless and in no hurry to help their patients. I can hardly make an appointment, not because of their limited availability, but because they never pick up the phone. When you finally are able to have your appointment, be prepared to wait at least an hour to two after your appointment time to finally see the doctor. The last straw for me was that I was given a prescription that needed to be sent in to my local Walgreens and after THREE times of calling St. Elizabeths to remind them to send it in (which I definitely shouldnt have to), they have failed to send it in for me to be able to pick it up. I am very hesitant to try new doctors and usually am content with "ok" service, but I will never visit this place again.

Let me start by saying I have no insurance, which means that I pay out of pocket every time I go there. I have been going to St. Elizabeths on and off since 2012, and every time I call, the answer over the phone is rushed; I can hardly tell what theyre even saying because they sound so hurried and jumbled. I can never schedule anything for the same week, which tells me the doctors there must be spread pretty thin. I take antidepressants, and if I forget to call a week ahead of time, Im pretty much screwed. Bye-bye sanity! Every time I go there, the front desk staff looks overwhelmed, and whoever that guy is that hovers over them while they work only seems to stress them out more. (I mean seriously, how would you like it if someone silently stared at you while you go about your day?) I really cant wait until my real insurance kicks in so that I can choose my own clinic instead of going to the cheapest one. Having said that, I really do believe that insurance is the entire reason that healthcare has been able to rise so high over the decades. Bravo, insurance man. Bravo.....

My family & I have been looking for quite some time for a doctor that is professional, knowledge, compassionate, and sensitive. As well as a doctor who will take as much time as needed during the appointment to give the best quality of service. Look no further than Dr. Rivera. He is the very best and embodies everything I have been looking for in a doctor. I am beyond thankful that I have Dr. Rivera taking care of me and my families medical needs. We all feel very comfortable with him and that is a huge plus!!! I highly recommend Dr. Rivera. My biggest complaint and only complaint is the front desk. They are extremely rude and the one girl never ever looks at you just dictates what you owe. If you are prescribed any controlled substances there is an extra charge for an urine test. She has no idea why you made the appointment to see the doctor but automatically includes that extra charge. You have to watch her closely!

My husband gets the pellet testosterone treatment - all seems good so far thankfully. However getting anyone to answer the phone in the practice or even getting a all back is virtually impossible - the level of service or after care is truly appalling. Whilst in the practice it is all about selling selling selling for them - however if they had brains theyd realize they lose thousands of dollars weekly with the poor, poor service through reception and front desk admin. i have seen the frustration of patients first-hand. All in all I would recommend avoiding this practice - its too work. i know my husband has given up on this place. Its expensive however we are fortunate we are in a good place financially, however on a scale of 1-10 I would give this place a 1 and recommend avoiding it like the plague.
