I had an appointment for 11:00am so I arrive shortly before 11am and wait for the doctor to finish up with her current patient. Theres a couple people waiting ahead of me who are walk-ins but no big deal because I have an appointment. Doctor finished up with the current patient and then one of the walk-ins goes in. Fine. Looks like theyre mixing the walk-ins with the appointments. No big deal. Only one walk-in ahead of me anyway. I continue to wait. At about 11:30, a large woman walks in and walks up to the counter. The assistant is currently working with two people and gives them the attention first as is expected. Large woman feels snubbed and starts complaining loudly that she is being snubbed while her meek husband just agrees with everything coming out of her mouth. Great. Now I have to wait with the loud woman and her spineless husband for my appointment. Loud woman gets seen by assistant and starts complaining that she had an appointment for 11:30 and that the office screwed up. I have no idea if this is true but I know that I should be next. Doctor finishes up with the walk-ins ahead of me at 11:50 and now it should be my turn to go. But no, they cave in to the loud woman and she goes in first. I go up to the assistant to complain that my appointment was before hers would have been and she looks uncomfortable. "Yea but shes...you know...." So now I have to wait for her to finish up and her appointment takes forever. Loud woman comes out of the office and is still complaining. Whatever. Its my turn. I go in and see the doctor and tell her what happens. She apologizes and gives me a few dollars off the exam and an extra set of trial contacts. Fine. Just get me on my way, I dont plan on coming back. Fast forward and the contacts have not been working out and Im going to go to another office to get a followup because of my experience. Only I find out that they have an authorization still on my insurance that they never used. And Sears only seems to have part time doctors so I cant even get them to release the authorization so that I can be on my way. TL;DR: Waited a long time. Line order not honored. Contacts not fitting right. Insurance authorized but not released means I cant go get an exam elsewhere.

If it had an option for negative stars, I would put that. This place is a disgrace, it should be closed or have a different person running it. I went in about 2 weeks ago in the morning, I already had my prescription and I just needed to get glasses. When I went in, there was a black lady who really didnt show any interest in me being there. She was talking on the phone with someone and was cursing. She did get up once to get someone their glasses and she had no shoes on. Never have I ever witnessed something so disgusting. She still really didnt care to much that I was there but she did when a black lady came in. Needless to say, I left and went somewhere else. Never come here if you want to be ignored for not being black. I felt as if the lady only showed interest in people that were her race. I personally felt humiliated to have been treated that way or made to feel degraded by her. Im not sure if she was the manager or not but either way, its uncalled for. The lady is rude, nasty and racist. She should be fired for her lack of tact. I dont think anybody should come here and get help from her. I am in the process of getting in contact with a manager to discuss the events that took place either on the phone or in person. I have already reached out to him via email. I am waiting for a response back.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother. We will never come here. My mother went went in on 08/05/2017 to schedule an eye exam and look at frames. There was a heavy set black lady and she smelt like alcohol, she talked as if she was drunk/high. She was very incoherent, I do not feel comfortable getting my/family glasses, etc. there. I took one of her cards and to my surprise she was the manager. She was working while drunk and/or high. People pay a lot of money for their glasses to be done right the first time. We will not be taking our chances with that manager. Its unacceptable for a manager to be drunk and/or high while at work. I will be getting in touch with a someone that is above her. Update: I was able to get in touch with the managers boss, he was very kind and apologized for the managers actions. He said that he will get to the bottom of it and I believe that he will. For now, my mother has gone elsewhere to get her eyes checked and the managers boss recommended for my mom to go to their other location. My mother is looking forward to getting her glasses done correctly with a manager that is highly qualified and puts the customers first. Thank you sir for taking the time out to speak with me about the incident.

Sears is great and each time I have need their services, the experience was excellent. I started going to this Sears about 1 1/2 year ago. My exam was done there and I got my glasses there. I have and will continue to refer my family and friends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have had couple of experiences where the manager helped me and she was very professional detailed and patience ( l can be very indecisive). I didnt feel rushed or pressure on my purchase, which is very important to me. All in all it was a great experience. The manager Aisha Rhodes and her staff along with Dr. Trans staff were excellent.

Im writing this review because initally just wanted to rate Sears Optical then I came across a review that on was on the same day 08/05/2017 I went. My experience was quite different the black lady that helped me was pleasant and very informative because she had to break down to explain to me how my vision insurance coverage worked. I dont write just rate but the last review wasnt helpful!!

I had a great experience! Dr. Tran, the optometrist, spent a lot of time with me. I was having trouble with my left eye, my vision was blurry even with contacts. She fitted me for a couple of pairs until my left eye could see clearly. Make sure you see Dr. Tran, she will spend a lot of time with you, she is the best!
