I went to Mountain View Dental as a new patient two weeks ago. I was early but, they didn’t get me back to be seen until 20+ minutes after my scheduled appointment. When the Dentist finally made it in she looked at the broken tooth I made the appointment for I said I should set an appointment to have it fixed. I was disappointed they wouldn’t do the work that day but, rescheduled as she said. I went back last week for the second time. I again was early & they AGAIN were late. I waited 20+ minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time, & then I went to the desk to complain. The girls at the front said they would let them know I was still waiting & gave me a “sorry” gift. After 15+ more minutes I was taken back. The assistant said she would get the dentist & they would get me numb for the fix. I told her I don’t do numbing for any of my dental work & I had let them know that at my first visit. When the Dentist entered she said she was going to numb me. I explained to her I don’t do numbing & haven’t for years, including previous root canals. She left to consult with another dentist & when she returned she told me she had never worked on a patient without numbing & she wouldn’t feel comfortable if I wasn’t numb. I AGAIN told her I would not be numbed & that for years and many procedures had done just fine without it. After listening to her go on about how I could be risking the health of my unborn baby by not getting numbed I told her I would take my business elsewhere. When I got home I called another Dental Office & explained to them my situation (broken tooth, refusal to be numb, etc.), they told me they would see me that afternoon. When I arrived, I completed my paperwork & was taken back ON TIME. When the Dentist came in he confirmed my wishes to not use numbing & ask me to let him know if there was any discomfort during the procedure. The procedure went great, the Dentist & the office staff were wonderful. I was in & out of the office in less than 45 minutes. I left with my tooth fixed; no pain, no numbness & my wishes had been respected.

I could not believe that this place is 3.5 stars - therefore I want to do my part and give you the real scoop. Please take a moment to read before you make any decisions to go here. Went to this place several years back with my 4 year old daughter and my wife. Very nice place and the technology they use is on the cutting edge. However, I was told by the doc that I saw they are "in the preventative business and were able to see things early on" after my cleaning I was informed that I would need to fix 7 cavities. SEVEN!? I thought well - maybe I do, so I entertained them while I waited on my wife and daughter. After the cleanings were done - we met in a conference room where I was told for both my wife and myself it would cost 11 thousand dollars to fix our teeth (but if we said yes they would throw in free whitening for our teeth) - - ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for two people!? I rather pull them all out and use dentures - it would be cheaper. Do not worry - they offer financing options... My insurance has a max out of pocket that would have pushed that down to six thousand dollars but I wanted another opinion. I went to another dentist and his direct quote was "I see one area that is breaking down but not yet a cavity - now if youd like to pay me for seven Ill take it! But Im not in the business to take advantage of anyone." Its been 6 years since that visit - I still have yet to have any of that "preventative" work to be needed and I have been to 4 different dentists. Think about how nice the office is, the fact the advertise on TV during the superbowl locally, obviously they are doing just fine and its on the backs of the poor souls that actually believe them and pay the outrageous price they ask for. Please get a second opinion - from anyone.

Absolutely horrible dentist to take your child to , the staff is very rude and berating , you are never seen on time , very expensive treatments , and the anesthesia is very unsafe. They sedate children inside of the office instead of taking them to a hospital so that if something goes wrong there would be someone there to correct the issue , instead they do it in the office and hope nothing goes wrong because if it does there is nothing that they can do for your child. Not to mention that they have a long haired dog that roams around in the same place where your mouth is open and you are receiving treatment which is very unsanitary not to mention very disrespectful towards those of us with dog allergies. I have never once been to a medical office and seen a pet free roaming around the office as if everything is OK. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this business and choose a dentist who places their patients under anesthesia in a safe way instead of chancing it.

The Dental team that did the surgery on my son Nov 2015 was great. they did a good job. The billing/financial department is terrible. First of all the rudeness of them coming back into the recovery room wanting money, while my son was clearly not feeling well and I was there by myself. Second as far as submitting the billing to my dental insurance it still has not been submitted. MVDT got a huge check from me upfront so i guess getting the rest from the dental insurance is not a big deal to them. I still want this submitted to my dental insurance, because if they do not pay for anesthesia I can submit that portion to my Anthem medical insurance to see if they will pay. this would help us out alot as far as getting that money back. Again my son was there Nov 2015 and it is now April 2016 and it is not resolved. I have talked to the billing department several times and gotten nowhere! We probably wont be going back there for any future service.

Tow of my childrens are member this clinic , a few days ago when I was there for me son. I discussed new growing teeth of my daughter. The Doc, asked me to make an appointment, which I did it. When ever I went there on of the nurse start arguing with me why I am here if my daughter has no pain , he did not let me to explain the problem . when I tried to say some thing ,he start being very impolite , then I talked to the Doc but the nurse he was still keep moving toward me try to interrupt out conversation , after that I talked to the Doc in a private room I hope the management take care of that . It very unwelcome Appointment . I forgot all the questions I had in my mind. I ;might change my children Dentist .

My name is Jenny. I took my son to Drs Biery + Paulette for his very first dental check up and cleaning. He was only 2, so I was really worried that he wouldnt sit still. The doctors and staff were so kind and patient with my little boy. They managed to "count" all of his teeth and clean them as well. I was so surprised! They made the visit completely enjoyable, and answered all of my questions in a language that I could understand. I Love Drs Biery + Paulette! I will return in the future, and have referred family and friends there as well. Jenny
