I was in a traumatic car accident in 1997 and saw Dr. Dow during my recovery. He treated me with gentle accupunture, massage, and chiropractic adjustments. When I first started seeing him, my pain was terrible... I couldnt move my head very far in any direction without discomfort, had numbness and tingling in my elbow and hand, and frankly feared that the rest of my life would be impacted. At only 25 yrs old that thought was really daunting! Thankfully, with his help, Ive recovered significantly. I still see Dr. Dow often for preventive care and his excellent holistic approach to health. For example, he recently introduced me to the Pettibon System for improving my posture and balance. I practice this at his office and at home with simple tools. Ive noticed my neck mobility has increased even more, I suffer from fewer headaches, and my running gait is more balanced which means I feel a lot less pain while excercising. Thankfully, due to what I think is outstanding, exceptional care of Dr. Dow, Im doing things today like training for my second marathon, driving motorcycles all summer long, and playing heartily with my 9yr old son. I owe a great deal of gratitude to Dr. Dow for his health care, healthy living tips, and friendship. I would recommend his services to anyone!

Dr. Dow has an excellent understanding of health and wellness, and after spending a little time in conversation with him it is clear he is a life long learner and passionate about helping others through chiropractic and acupuncture care. My experience with him was great. I came to Dr. Dow after experiencing repercussions from having sustained multiple head and spinal injuries during youth and collegiate sports and hobbies. He gathered the information needed to assess my current situation and quickly developed a plan of action for me. After a month and a half with him, my head, neck, and spine all feel better and feel like they are getting back to where they should be. My jaw has even realigned to a better position (no more jaw popping every time I chew something) and this was totally unexpected after a decade of having a loud jaw. There is still a lot of work to be done, but the progress thus far has increased my quality of life greatly. I sought him out because of his understanding of head and neck injuries and was not disappointed. Thank you, Dr. Dow!

Ive had an incredible experience with Dow Chiropractic & Acupuncture. From the beginning when Dr. Dow does your exam, you get a clear impression that not only does he know what hes doing but that hes really energized and invested in his work and committed to helping you feel your best. I was in a car accident a year or so ago and have had significant neck pain since then - Dr. Dow specializes in motor vehicle trauma and has taken it upon himself to work with the insurance companies to make sure I get the care I need without me having to hassle them about it. Also, unlike many chiropractors where you just go in and get cracked a couple times in an assembly line and then sent on your way, Dr. Dow shows you some individual exercises to do depending on your needs that you do to warm up before going in to be straightened out by him. Its an overall commitment to long-term wellness that I really value. Thanks, Dr. Dow.

Dr Dows methods, theories and technologies are good enough, but he seemed more preoccupied with getting paid in advance than he did on getting me better. Having a sit down conversation with him about my finances and him suggesting borrowing money from relatives to pay for his services in advance made me very uncomfortable. I realize he is trying to run a business, but still..... And PS his office is no longer located on University, you have to trek all the way over to the North side to see him now. I did not revisit this provider again.

Dr Dow is great! He is very helpful and knowledgeable about how to fix your body. I had a multitude of problems – pain, flexibility, balance etc. and in just two months seeing Dr Dow I am tremendously better in all areas. Dr.Dow is the only chiropractor that explains to you why your body is feeling what its feeling and how you can fix it. He teaches you a lot about your body and he is always learning.
