I am very, very nervous when it comes to dental procedures and the doctors and staff at Sachem have been nothing but wonderful and accommodating! Dr. Gentile as an excellent "chair-side" manner and explains everything very well. He is very clear in his recommendations and practices. I recently had a root canal performed by Dr. Ha. I was so nervous I could have vomited in the waiting room. Dr. Ha and her assistant were nothing short of amazing. She was very reassuring and the procedure was quick but thorough. When I felt the tiniest twinge of discomfort she didnt hesitate to give me a topical/local anesthetic. The procedure, after the novacaine injections, was completely pain free. She uses an amazingly quiet drill so you dont hear that terrifying high pitched buzz. Should I ever have to have another root canal, I would not hesitate to seek her out to complete it. I have had to call their office on fairly short notice to be seen for a crown placement and tooth pain. On both occasions the receptionist fit me in as soon as possible without hesitation. I would have given 5 stars, but the exam/treatment rooms need a decor update BADLY. At first impression, it made me worried that I was sitting in the chair of a dentist that practiced as out-dated techniques as the decor around me. Thankfully I found that not to be the case at all, but feel like they should give as amazing of an outward impression as their practice deserves.

last week I went to that office and i had a tooth ache. it was snowing and when i saw the doctor he kept insisting that I should get a root canal and that there was minimal wait time, and since it was snowing they could take me right away. as i was up at the front desk i asked what time they could do the root canal and they said 5 o clock . it was 11 am at this point and when the receptionist went away to talk to the doctor he went to the endodontist and i overheard him say. "im trying to make you money today" which was pertaining to my root canal. let me remind you that i was in a lot of pain and was hesitant to give me antibiotics to get the swelling down and then do the root canal. im going to use them to do the root canal but not my crown. try to avoid this place. they did a crown on my left side too but the dentist grinded it all the way down so it doesnt even look like a tooth. these guys are crooks

I have been using sachem Dental for so many years,actually when Dr Giovanelli was there so since I was 4yrs old,at that time they were only on Broadway Ave in Holbrook, now for many years I go to the Ronkonkoma office on Hawkins ave,never had a problem and they were very gentle, with any type of work they have done on my teeth, from cavity, extractions, root canal and crowns never had a problem, and the hygienist in the Ronkonkoma office, Nicole is the absolute best, I send many people there and no one had a problem. I WILL ALWAYS USE SACHEM DENTAL IN LK RONKONKOMA AND I WILL ALWAYS USE NICOLE FOR MY CLEANING. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST,AND THATS COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO HATES GOING TO THE DENTIST.

I have no insurance and needed to go to the dentist. I went to Sachem Dental and they were so nice and informative and even recommended EDP which is a discount program that saves patients without insurance 50% off all services! Dr.S was so nice and gentle, he filled several cavaties and made my smile look better. The hygieniest did a great job cleaning my teeth and today I had a tooth pulled. I am not even in pain!! The specialist was so kind, gentle and understanding. I literally was shaking and crying in the chair and they were so tolerate and talking me through the procedure. I highly recommend this office.

I went here for a routine consult, and walked away feeling ripped off, belittled, and like I had just completely wasted 2 hours. The people at the front desk were disorganized, but more importantly my doctor was unbelievably RUDE, impatient, and acted like she couldnt be bothered with my visit. After finding a different doctor at a much smaller office nearby, I was told that Sachem Dental is practically an assembly line of dental care. They just want you in and out, and could care less about their patients.

LONG waits, nearly incompetent staff. Had a front tooth bonded, lasted about 2 months and then it fell out. Went to a good dentist in Stony Brook to do it right and it has lasted 5 years. Charged my wife for a service they never provided, had to fill out a fraud claim with our insurance company. Xrays they took of her mouth were too "smudged" for her oral surgeon to use, so they had to be retaken. Its a wonder this place is still in business! I guess their patients just dont know any better.

Visit this Dentist office for a year. Had to get an infection taken care of there. Oral surgeon discussed options with me and we settled on doing an implant at a start to finish cost of about $2200 in total it was closer to $2600 but I didnt mind a few hundred. A year later after paying everything day of, in cash, the implant is ready to be finished and they tell me I need to pay another $2500 to finish the job. They have made no attempts to resolve this. Complete scam.

Best dentist experience ever in my life and I am 64. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgable, helpful and pleasant. Dr. George S. is absolutely fantastic. He explains everything and comes up with solutions. No pressure and he really seems to care. Dr. Ha (root canal) was great too. Very efficient and never felt a thing. LOVE this office.
