Terrible clinic! I had so many issues with them. This was my first time experience, I walked it the clinic, they were extremely busy, after 30 min wait they called me in. I sat down, Dr Herrera walked it looked at my Xray and said I need two root canals, she GLANCED at my tooth in my mouth and told me I need to see endodontist. She literally spent 3 MINUTES with me, I was still asking her questions and she just walked away..(probaly because they were so busy). Then, I went back to front desk, I looked at my prescribtion and Dr Herrera FORGOT to give me painkillers, (I was in pain, you all know how tooache is) Imagine if i havent noticed that and just went home.. Then, they tell me the earliest appotment they have available for root canal is 12/4/10 which is almost a month away....when i asked if there is another office i could go to they said that they have traveling endodontists and that was my only option. Well, i couldnt wait that long, 3 days later I called them back and told them to I cant wait that long and asked to go somewhere else, then their coorporate office scheduled me for 11/20/10 so that i wouldnt go to any other dentist. After a couple of days I call them back to see how much it is going to cost me, and the lady tells me i DON"T have an appotment and the earliest possible is stil 12/4/10, I told her that I was schedule for one and she said "yeah im not sure why they scheduled you". (I got a day off work and everything). So, i told them i cant wait that long and that i will find endodontist myself. So after some research I found endodontist and scheduled an appotiment within 2 days! The new office asked me for a refferal and i had called Smile Care office on Sunrise 3 times asking to fax a refferal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they still didnt do it, one time while i was on hold they completely forgot about me I was on hold for 15 min!!! When i called the office to complain the manager was short with me, and when i asked for a refferel she really didnt want to deal with me since i was going to a different office...So here I was on my root canal day i sill didnt have a referral, so the new office had to call them and only then they faxed it over. And its not over... when i got to the new office to do my root canal they told me that Smile Care didnt write down the correct tooth number, and untill we get it resolved i cant do a root canal! The receptionist spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to resolve this issue, Smile Care said "I dont have her chart" and they had to look for it... it was ridiculous!!! Finally after all was taken care of, my new dentist told me I DON"T need 2 root canals, i just need 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So today, 11/19/20 Smile Care calls me and tells me I have an appotment with them on 11/20/10 , I was like " I just got my root canal done at another dental office, and you can see in your system that i got a refferal from you guys yesterday" she was like "oh yeah, ok have a good day" I was in schock, Smile Care is just a rip off!!! They dont care about their patients, its a coorporation that wants to make money and they are so unprofessional!!! Their dentists dont know what they are doing, and front desk has horrible customer service. The worst clinic Ive ever been to...Dont let any of your loved ones go there, they will do they same they did to me!!!!

We had an exceptional experience with the front desk, the new manager Kim Harrison, the dentist and the oral surgeon who came in all the way from Fresno to do the procedures needed. My daughter, Megan, was in so much pain. She had been to another dentist who would not do any work until some extractions were preformed. That other dentist made her feel horrible and she came home in tears from her experience. That all changed when we walked in for the first appointment with this fantastic team. They all took their time, took a full patient history, preformed an excellent diagnosis procedure and set out a plan for our daughter. Within a week, she was set to have those extractions. Again, the office staff was fantastic. The morning schedule had a wrench thrown in when the oral surgeon showed up late; but the office staff and the new office manager Kim Harrison made the wait not only tolerable but enjoyable. They kept everyone apprised of the later reschedule and promised all would be seen. When they took Megan back for the procedure, she was more than ready. My daughter was done in no time at all, with excellent post care given as well as post op instructions for after care. The next day we spoke with the new manager Kim Harrison, who not only continued the fantastic follow up care with Megan, but letting us know what the next steps in her oral care was. I would most certainly recommend this dentist office to anyone. The fees are very reasonable, the staff very accommodating, and the new manager is simply a miracle worker. Megan is actually looking forward to going back to see them to finish up the work needed in her mouth. The office was clean, neat and family friendly. I had the most unexpected time while there; expecting a cold quiet barely staffed office instead of the bright, clean, readily available staff/office that I got. What a wonderful surprise! My husband and I will be most certainly be going in for some denture repairs and adjustments. Thank you SmileCare staff/team! You all are so fabulous and we feel truly blessed to have found you.

I was referred to SmileCare by an acquaintance as a place that would accept Medi-Cal for some much needed oral surgery I needed. I had been previously scheduled with a surgeon that did not accept it and I was planning to spend several thousand dollars; so when I heard Medi-Cal would pay for the work I obviously went with that option. However, when I looked at some of the online reviews for SmileCare I got really nervous because they were terrible. They were mostly about the front office service and a dentist I did not deal with, but I was not expecting very good service. Im happy to say that I had an excellent experience. Dr. Victor Chavez was my oral surgeon and he was friendly, reassuring, and even my dentist commented on (after a follow up visit today) what an excellent job he did. He was also surprised by how much time I told him it took, as there was some extensive work. Im also going to give some kudos to the front office as they were very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I am taking off a few points however for general condition of the office (waiting room floor was really pretty dirty and the place could use to fresh paint to replace the peeling wallpaper) and the fact that their fax machine has been on the fritz for over two weeks. It made getting the referal from my dentist to their office a pain for not only my dentists office but for me (as I had to deliver it personally the day of the visit.) Seriously people....fax machines are not that big of an expense and there is like an Office Max right on the same block. I saw them send a girl out for Starbucks....have her stop at Office Max and get a dang fax machine! With that said, when it came to the important stuff I was impressed and would go back; especially since when using Medi-Cal I dont expect the Taj Mahal. Thank you SmileCare!
