I am beyond livid and completely outraged by the absolute lack of customer service your office has. My two daughters and I all had appointments today at 4:45 (its Veterans day) and I had made these appointments over a month in advance. My oldest daughter has been wearing glasses since she was 22 months old and we have moved away from her Obstetrician of 8 years so I took great care in finding her new one. I chose your office. Last night (Sunday Nov. 10th) I received a call from my mother that her Uncle was admitted into the hospital in Sacramento and isnt expected to live. His daughter is flying in from Michigan and because I have a mini van I was asked if I could pick her up from the airport. I agreed knowing I would have to reschedule my appointment with you. I waited until 9:30 this morning so I could be sure that you were open. I asked first if there was a possibility of moving my appointment to an earlier time. When I was told I couldnt I explained the situation and asked if I could reschedule for the next available time. I was informed that I would have to be charged a $50 fee per person (there are 3 of us) because we didnt give 24 hours notice. I said "Are you kidding me?? Three people want to come in and have full eye appointments and at least 2 of us will be getting glasses and you want to charge me because I have an emergency?!" She said "Just hang on a second" and put me on hold. Another woman with a heavy latin accent came on the line and said that you wouldnt be charging me but that she wont reschedule my appointments and that my business is no longer welcome. She said that with this being a holiday weekend they had a waiting list of people wanting to be seen. Well if thats true... why is there a problem. THREE spots just opened! Lucky day for 3 people! I feel I was being called a liar. I can provide flight information, proof of the flight, proof of my uncle in he hospital and I even offered all of this to her. She said no... she didnt care and they dont want my business. Well... This is the age of social media. My voice will reach far. I think you need to pay a little closer attention to how you treat your patients. Im sure that its hard to deal with people with last minute excuses but you know... SOMETIMES there really are emergencies. Sometimes you need to have a little compassion. Try to remember we are ALL people, we all have famlies and sometimes we all could use a little kindness. I sure hope none of you ever have to be called a liar when all youre looking for is a little warmth. Shame on all of you! Deborah S.

After dealing with a rude and condescending staff (not the doctor, just staff) for over 20 years at my old eye doctors office, Capitol Eye Care Center was like being on another planet from the old office. Everyone is friendly and helpful at Capitol Eye Care Center. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs an eye doctor. Not only was my doctor, Dr. Levin, top notch but the staff reflected the doctors professionalism and courteousness, which to me, is just as important as the doctors credentials and reputation.

The staff were very friendly yet professional. Dr Kay Dombkowski was very friendly and explained things very clearly. I asked many detailed questions and got very clear answers. The selection of a pair of glasses was also a good experience. This was my first visit to this center and it was an excellent experience. Dr Kay spent a lot of time with me for my mono vision contacts. She is so energetic and knowledgeable. She wants to make sure you have the best site for you. Very happy experience.
