The reason for our first visit was my significant other thought he had a contact stuck in his eye, we later found out it was scratched. Meanwhile our Doctor was very astute and efficient in diagnosing the problem, I would go as far to say She and her assistants "bedside manner" was borderline unprofessional. The overtones of their attitudes were smug and judgmental. It was clearly exerted she had no obligation to pain management. Lets just say we had unpleasant words. The real problem: After our doctor left the room, her assistant went as far as to overly assert her (tyrannical) opinion on if my partner "deserved the privilege" of having contacts!!! We politely tried to ignore her but she was persistent in her opinions. Luckily we made it out of the appointment without anymore scratches.

My daughter has sties in her eye. I was told if the problem persisted and got worse to call back and they would see what they could do. They said it would be hard with her insurance. I just called because my daughter other eye is now having the problem and the woman who answered the phone was rude, cold, and said that I needed to go back to the PCP. I have already been. Now Im going to have to make an unnecessary appointment to get another appointment back to this place. Receptionist needs fired and restaffed. I was treated poorly strictly because of her insurance. My daughter literally was just refereed to portland for eye issues, and just got back, she needs seen NOW! If i cant get her seen and she loses her vision, someone is getting sued for negligence.

The Eye Center with Drs. Karen and Haines is tops in my book! We have been very happy with eye care, several surgeries including cataracts and eye-lid modification since 2002. This Eye Center with Doctors Karen and Haines, who provide service here, are among the most professional of any medical office Ive seen anywhere and across all medical fields. Detail orientation is the norm and all interactions with me have been friendly, professional and very helpful. The absence of arrogance among the doctors is a refreshing difference between this medical office and that of others Ive experienced in town...and this is a BIG one for me. I can hardly imagine better service, therefore, I HIGHLY recommend The Eye Center for anyones Ophthalmological needs.

I have a long and complicated history of eye disease and related eye issues. I have literally known scores of opthomologists but never one more compassionate, skillful or courteous than John Haines. He is invariably kind and patient. He has helped me to make good decisions regarding my precarious eye health with grace and frankness. He educates the patient when asked and personally selects and trains his excellent support staff for competence and respect for patients. Any time I must wait for my exam I remember the time and attention I receive when my turn comes. I cannot recommend this doctor and practice highly enough.

I was seen for a routine eye exam, had a Visian ICL surgery to follow and an incredible experience overall. Dr. Haines and Dr. Karren are very skilled, patient and compassionate doctors with great bedside manner. The front desk staff were very friendly, the tech team was extremely efficient and knowledgeable and my post operative care couldnt have been better. A key aspect that intrigued and interested me in The Eye Center was the philanthropy employed by this company as well as knowing my eye care helps go towards mission trips to other countries is incredible!

I had questions about color blindness and so I decided to go to the Eye Center to get it checked out and get questions answered. The doctor was unprepared and didnt know about color blindness, they dilated my eyes before I could take colorblindness tests. I had to make a second appointment and come in and they still couldnt answer my questions. A big waste of time and money. Next time I will find a smaller, and more friendly place.

Had Lasik and Kamra Inlay. What a first class operation they have. Dr. Haines is very gracious and professional. I highly recommend the Eye Center. Wonderful to not have to wear glasses again! Couple of the other post complain about the long wait I have not had that experience. Remember you are seeing a Medical Doctor that have emergency calls. I would imagine you just had some bad timing.

I was in recently and had a really great experience. The doctors are fantastic in making you feel warm and welcome. The bedside manner is really enjoyable and the staff are incredibly warm as well, not to mention great at their jobs! The only reason I give 4 stars is because I had to wait a little longer than expected. Other than that, I can highly recommend the eye center.

Alamo!

No one here has any compasion. You wait forever to be seen (over an hour) most every time. When you are seen, its for less then 5 minutes. They tell you what you already know and they try to treat what has failed muntiple time in the past. Honestly, whos the doctor and whos the patient here???? There is nothing good about this place.

Dr. Haines and Dr. Karren are the most caring doctors. They both take time with their patients. All of the Eye Centers staff are caring as well, they go out of their way to help each patient individually no matter what the subject is. I will definitely refer my friends and family to The Eye Center.

Sometimes the wait can be a little long, but all in all I would highly recommend this place. The doctors and the staff are great and I always feel as though Im welcomed with open arms. The quality of the eye care is fantastic too! :-)

Wow. I have no review on their eye care but just my phone interaction was so horrible. The woman on the phone was rude, and very unwilling to help. I will not be making any attempt to get my glasses through them.

Had been waiting for 25 minutes, ask receptionist how much long it would be and was told we were next to be called. Its has now been 42 minutes and still waiting! Do not come here!
