I feel a little guilty that Ive waited so long to write a review because I had such a good experience here. Im a UO student, and after noticing I had trouble reading slides that the people next to me didnt, I came to eyes of the world for my first eye exam. Dr. Phillips was so thorough and easy to talk to, and clear about what my insurance would cover. I was especially impressed with Jeremy, though! This is my first pair of glasses and Ive honestly never even worn sunglasses before because Ive never been able to find a pair I like. Im so picky! I mustve spent almost 2 hours trying on almost every pair in the store, I felt so bad being such a pain of a customor but Jeremy was EXTREMELY patient with me, I cant believe he spent so much time with me helping me find the perfect pair! He even picked out pairs for my boyfriend to try on to keep him entertained. EXCELLENT customer service, and Im so happy with my new glasses! I get so many compliments and my life is so much better now that I can see. I had no idea my vision was getting so poor. As a bonus, I get dramatically fewer migraines now. Overall, very happy! Thanks eyes of the world!

Barbara, May 13, 2011 - Two thumbs up! Now I see the world through "The Eyes of the World" ... well defined, clear, shadowless, and impeccable. I highly recommend this new business to anyone who needs an eye exam, new glasses or lenses. Dr. Philips and his staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They offer a wide range of glasses from adult normal size to petite, which I needed. I also bought a very affordable, comfortable, and fashionable pair of sunglasses, that I have been using in the car on a regular basis when I commute. This is the best service in town! You should definitely go check it out!

I continue to recommend Eyes of the World to my friends in need of an eye exam or who are looking for new glasses. My experiences here have been pleasant and pressure free. They were patient and very generous with the amount of time they spent with me during the exam and while selecting frames. They even worked with me to figure out how I could save money while going through my insurance. In reference to cost, they are about the same or slightly cheaper than another optical business I checked out. This was a professional, kind, calm, and pleasant establishment with a good selection of frames. Go for it.

I brought my 11-year-old daughter to Eyes of the World recently and had an excellent experience. Our appointment started exactly on time (which I appreciated since I had to take her out of school), the doctor communicated well, the choice of glasses was excellent, and they had them ready for her the same day! Also, when they called the day before to confirm her appointment, they told me what to expect in terms of time and copays (all of which was accurate). I cant recommend them enough and plan on scheduling an appointment for myself in the near future.

Our family lives overseas most of the year in a developing nation. While we were visiting relatives in the Eugene area, our family had eye exams at Dr. Phillips office -- simply because he was a Preferred Provider for our insurance plan. Like other reviewers, our experience with Dr. Phillips and his staff were very positive: Dr. Philips and his staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Based on this experience we will continue to go to Eyes Of The World for our eye exams when we are in this area on Stateside visits.

This is my absolute favorite office; Im sad I only get to see them once a year! All of the staff members are excellent. Cherish, Jeremy, and Amber are helpful, understanding, and genuinely kind. Dr. Phillips is professionally silly, and I really value his expertise and humor. Dr. Phillips also has an eye for picking out frames you may not consider at first. If youre lucky enough to have his help, definitely give those frames a shot!

Dr. Jerry Phillips is excellent at what he does. Hes always kind when I come in and very helpful with everything when I go in. I highly recommend getting glasses through eyes of the world and I highly recommend to stay away from Vision works in Vally River mall there awful. :) Keep up the Excellent work Dr. Jerry!

Im prone to eye inflammations for whatever reason and Im in front of a computer a lot. They always see me right away whenever I call (which is usually after a day or two of mulling it over hoping the problem will go away), and have always been so sympathetic and helpful. Cant recommend this place enough!

Friendly staff, Dr. Phillips was incredibly precise, left no stone un-turned when it came to my exam, he took the time to make sure that my prescription would be PERFECT. They took my PeaceHealth insurance which paid for 75% of the exam, contacts, and glasses total!
